I have lived in Buffalo my entire life, and although we don’t have a warm climate all year long, we still love our ice cream. Before moving to my current home I had never been to, or even heard of, Jamie’s Ice Cream. My husband grew up in that neighborhood, and it’s one of those long time local traditions. Now I see why! Jamie’s is not your run-of-the-mill ice cream joints. They carry Perry’s ice cream in a myriad of flavors(for those of you who are not from Buffalo, Perry’s is made locally and distributed to over 30 countries!). Now for the best part… Jamie’s has so many specialty items it will put a permanent smile on your face. From shakes to sundaes, you can have something different every time and never run out of options. Ice cream… it’s not just for summertime anymore!

This location is in route to thruway and my son usually sees it so we stop in. The inside is split with a pizza place so you get the generic grease smell and feel. They have a big ice cream selection but they like many other ice cream shops use younger people to work there. This isn’t a bad thing but get ready for the usual double repeating of your order. I’m glad they hire younger teens because God knows they need something to do during the summer. For a quick, clean and friendly location this is the ice cream shop for you. Banana splits are on point!

Jamie’s is awesome. Although the inside does smell a bit like fryer grease(thanks to Wurlitzer Pizza which shares a building) they serve up Perry’s ice cream, which everyone knows is the best. My only complaint is that a baby-size cone is easily enough for two adults, but since the prices are so reasonable I don’t complain very hard.(Plus, extra ice cream). They have picnic tables outside where you can sit and avoid getting ice cream drips in your car.
