Great food, friendly staff, awesome specials! Much better than the sushi chains around town, support local business while filling up on amazing food and not spending too much!

Ideal sushi place if you’re in the area. Nothing out of the ordinary. The fish was pretty fresh and the staff is super friendly. The little girl helping out was adorable she brought out the plates for us. Very neat place and quiet for a weekend they had two games going on which was great.

Their house fried rice is wonderful. It is fresh full with veggies, it is the best I have had in the DFW. Their sushi is just as great. My sister and I as so happy we found a hidden gem.

My husband and I have been coming here for 17+ years. It is our ALLTIME favorite place for sushi. The owners Andy and Jean are the best! Have never had a bad meal here :)

Great sushi, great prices, great service. We come here regularly and have never been disappointed. Everything is always really fresh and delicious. Definitely get the Sakura Roll — it’s incredible!

We come here every once in a while for sushi since it’s close to the house. Some of the rolls are huge and fall apart easily, that’s about the only downside. The drinks are great and made with fresh ingredients. My favorite dish is the tuna steak. Small, family owned place and they are always very friendly.

I ordered chicken teriyaki to go and walked right back in when taking a peek at it in my car. It looked not well put together and not appetizing! They gave me my money back which was kind of them but, not a place id return to! Maybe their sushi is better

I had another great lunch of chicken katsu, miso soup and fried rice. The fried rice is phenomenal and not your standard fare. It’s moist and full of egg and mushrooms. It’s delicious! On top of that, it’s like Cheers. They always know me and my drink order. It just feels good to be known and welcome.

Great food and fair pricing. They have an impressive sushi menu and is a karaokee bar on most nights/weekends. I love their avocado salad, great presentation and delicious food. Very fresh tasting and feeling — as a Japanese rest. should be!

Ordered hibachi which was more of a soupy collection of vegetables and steamed shrimp than actual hibachi. The sushi was average and the service very slow because the restaurant was understaffed(one server, one sushi chef and one back room cook) for the entire restaurant that had 30 people in it. In my opinion, there are better alternatives for this price.

Good sushi at decent prices and a bar. I get the mango martini and for about $ 6 each I can get right while chowing down on some sushi and pickles. I don’t know how they make their pickles. But I would sell my first born to Rumplestiltskin to get the recipe.

Food was good and fresh but, took forever to come out. Went during lunch and they had more tables than normal but between the sushi chef rolling sushi and also bar tending, it definitely took away from getting our eating on. Of course I’ll come back since they have an awesome lunch special — buy 2 get 1 roll free! Ideal for lunch with a plus 1!

Good prices, open late, very friendly staff. Not the fanciest place, but they have $ 1 Saki night on Tuesdays! Recommend for casual sushi. I haven’t had much from their regular menu.

Food and service is back up to the high standards from when I first started coming here. Sushi always high quality. Fried rice is excellent along with the ton katsu.

I am a critic… I dont just throw out 5 stars just cuz the food tasted good… the service is great! A step above other places for sure. I’ve gotten the grapevine roll(crab, cucumber, avacado, rice, dipped in batter and fried like chicken, & topped with sweet sauce) & it was delicious and filling! The miso soup is so heart warmingly good that I wanted to go into the kitchen and chug the rest down. It comes out HOT. You get free cucumber salad no matter what you order. Udon noodles are big and good! Some of the best noodles I’ve had in my life too. The owners, named Andy and Jean are both so nice and are a hoot! The prices aren’t dirt cheap, but you get what you pay for. I’m pretty sure the people who gave this place 1star reviews were payed to give bad reviews of this place, because I promise you the food is fresh, genuine, and tasty. No one makes better sushi than Andy(who even lived in Japan)!! Ignore those false 1 star reviews and try this place out!

First time here. Will definitely be back. Had 26. Piece sampler. Not a bad thing on it. Gyoza was excellent. Veggie tempura too. Great sauces. Try the hot house saki and the lucky Buddha beer.

Delicious Texas Roll. Surprising sushi, beer, wine, and mixed drink selection. And they are very accommodating of this Western, non-sushi-eating, guy. If you live anywhere near the mid-cities in northeast Tarrant county, this restaurant is definitely worth a try.

A friend of mine wanted to get some sushi, so we Googled and happened to find this place nearby. The staff were friendly, atmosphere was fine, and the sushi even tasted pretty decent. That is, until I got home about an hour or so later with sharp stomach pains and resisting the urge to disembowel myself. Then the wonderful projectile vomiting started and didn’t end until 5AM. Also, not sure if anyone has experienced that moment when you realize you have to choose between hugging the toilet with your arms or with your butt — not a good place to be in and sometimes, you just gotta go with your«gut feeling». I understand that eating sushi is a risk in itself for food poisoning, but one, I didn’t order any raw fish(at least it wasn’t supposed to be) and two, I think every customer has a right to expect proper sanitation and storage of food materials. End. Rant.

The sushi here is typically really good. Today during happy hour it was not. The Shrimp tempura was not fully cooked in one if my rolls. Service was really bad. I had to request water, silverware and chopsticks. When trying to use a groupon, the manager on duty had to call another manager at home. The discount was applied after taxes were charged at the higher rate.

When I was in town during Christmas, my family searched for a good lunch special in the area. Japanese Grill’s Unilocal deal came up and we went not really knowing what to expect. We all got some type of Bento Box. The sushi bento box was a great deal. $ 10.95 for a roll, six pieces of sushi, soup, and salad! My sister’s salmon teriyaki bento was really good too. The sushi was fresh, the portions & prices were good, and I will be back when I’m in the area again! I also have to point out that the service was great. The woman that helped us(who seemed to be a manager or owner) was very friendly & happy that we were there.
