I’ve had food delivered from here a few times and each time the food has been delicious!

Really good food, especially for delivery… until I found not one, but two hairs in our food. Yuck!

This is some of the best Chinese take-out I have had in DFW. I have lived here for 30 years and only ordered recently because we moved from Carrollton to Bedford. The food is prepared with expert attention. From the seafood soup to the sesame chicken and boneless pork ribs. Large portions and on time delivery. My wife and I agree, we love Shang Yao!

Horrible customer Service. I wouldn’t know if the food is good or not since my delivery never showed. When I called to check on it an hour and a half later, they informed me they didn’t have a delivery driver so they couldn’t deliver it. Then she hung up on me. Don’t order from here!

I made a Unilocal account just to review this place. I have been ordering(delivery) from this establishment for almost 6 years, and I have never had a problem with the food. The veggie lo mein is spectacular, egg rolls are great, chicken sticks could be a little more cooked, but I like mine almost like jerky, regardless they are still hot and juicy. Every chicken dish I have tried has always been amazing. I have never had rude service from any of the delivery guys, they have always been very friendly, and don’t seem like they are in a rush like most drivers. The only thing I didn’t like food wise, was the sushi. I have only tried it once, just because I haven’t had REAL sushi before. I am not saying theirs is bad, just that I realized I wasn’t a fan of sushi in general. I have ate at many Asian food restaurants in the area, and this one is definitely my go-to, number one place. Reasons are because, it is fairly priced, they deliver, they offer promotions, and the food is always amazing. I have never even once had a stomach ache due to the food, and in my opinion that’s a major plus. Just because it doesn’t look like much, doesn’t mean it’s not great. The best places out there are mom/pop, or smaller businesses. What’s even better, is reheated meals in the oven, if you have a glazed meal, it just makes it even better. I will continue to eat here once a month like I have been doing. My only real issue with this place, is the online ordering. They recently switched how you order, and there’s no longer a way to substitute for different rice when ordering meals. I took a chance this last time and put a note on every meal to sub for fried rice, that I didn’t mind paying extra(I think it’s $ 1.25 more). I didn’t think they would notice, but they did! Every meal had fried rice, and they didn’t charge me extra, which I kind of feel bad for because it costs more to add the extra veggies in it, and there is a language barrier when calling in the order(which is why I order online). I hope they can fix that soon though.

I am very very picky and require a special dish to be made. When the place can get it right, I order often. This place was so good! Very fresh, not a lot of MSG as usual, large portions and fast delivery. My dish is actually the house fried rice with the pork and chicken in it. I add $ 3 in extra shrimp(I like mostly shrimp but like the house fried rice with it all in there) I make is spicy and like to top it with teriyaki chicken. Most places would try to charge me for two meals but she came up with one price, one dish … Absolutely delicious! Egg rolls were awesome to if I had to complain I would say the crispy noodles were stale and not so crunchy.

Stay away at all cost. Would give the ZERO stars if I could. Rude, unprofessional and their food is awful. I would not feed this crap to my worst enemies.

First visit to this establishment. Atmosphere is plain and best suited for takeout or delivery. Not a place to take a date. I would dine in if I wanted a quick Asian lunch. The food for the most part was decent. I especially liked the pork egg rolls. The other dishes we ordered: Happy Family, Mongolian Beef and the Mo Shu chicken were ok. The Happy Family used imitation crab meat which I did not care for; the Mongolian beef was tasty but a little oily; and the Mo Shu chicken was heavy on the cabbage and very little chicken. Nothing stood out as outstanding but nothing was bad. I plan to visit again to sample other dishes. 3 ½ stars

When I first moved to Euless, I could not find a Chinese restaurant that was worth it. Then I got a menu on my door for this place. I usually order Sesame Chicken with fried rice so I’m very particular about it. This place has it down. It’s delicious. Their fried rice is exactly what it should be. Lo Mein is delicious as well. I’ve had their egg rolls on occasion(not an egg roll fan) and they taste good enough to eat. My nose didn’t start bleeding or anything. I like to tease that being a Taurus, I enjoy only the best foods, nothing less. So if a Taurus says the food is good, you better believe it’s good.

The food here is good. However, when it comes to delivery, be careful. There are seriously some rude drivers out there, especially James, as you can see in the picture.

One of my favorite chinese food dishes of all time resides at this place. Try the teriyaki chicken! We have only had this place a few times for delivery(have not been inside the physical location yet) but it has been hot, fresh, and delicious every time! I will update my review once we go into the location!

Okay, so I was super skeptical about this place at first. The place looks kinda rundown, and there was NOBODY in there, and that’s almost always a bad sign, but I was really surprised! The portions were super generous, and I loved my General Tso’s chicken! Only downside is food takes quite a while to cook, but hey if it’s fresh I’ll take it!!! Customer service is okay, but the lunch specials are phenomenal!!! You cannot beat what you’re getting. 5.95 for a HUGE plate of food!

The food was rather slow to arrive to us. I bit into an egg roll, began to choke and cough. It was so rough my nose started to bleed. Will not be ordering from here again.

I love you Shang Yao. Don’t forget to ask for red sauce. Crab Rangoon, Sesame or Orange Chicken(extra spicy), Pot Stickers. Repeat. Sushi is good, but inconsistent. Stick with the above.

I ordered Kung Pao Chicken lunch platter. It was bland. No flavor what so ever. Wife got the sesame chicken, paid $ 1 extra for white meat. But the chicken didn’t look like chicken. Had a hard time ordering. Told the lady the order was for carry out. 20 mins later food was delivered. Won’t be getting food here again.

Im going to be blatently honest. In my opinion this chinese restaurant is the BEST in the area(HEB). The thing that makes it amazing is the consistency, attitude, and quality of their food and restaurant. I never order delivery from anywhere else. At first, when I ordered from this restaurant I was skeptical of their wide variety and vast menu options. My first order at this restaurant was Mushu Roasted Pork. This dish is the bomb. The juiciness and overall integrity of this entrée is phenomenal, It doesnt look like much, but when you take that first bite you are hooked. My return to Shang Yao deliveries was greeted with not only Mushu Pork(now a personal favorite) but also 3 of their sushi rolls. Which honestly I thought would be the worst part of their menu. To my surprise, they were fantastic! The salmon Roll was fresh tasting, the eel had a sweet and crisp flavor, and the cream cheese roll with avocado topped it all off nicely. To put the food aside a moment, this restaurant is amazing for the amount of respect and courtesy they give their customers as well. Anytime I have called this restaurant, which is not too often, or when I walk in, people are consistently very nice. The woman who answers the phone is really quite sweet and always been very helpful with orders. Now, the only way you could POSSIBLY even get how amazing this place is, would be to go there yourself, or get delivery on grubhub. Judge how you may, their store front may not look 5 star, and their menu may be a bit large and mysterious, but among those foods you will strike gold. A list of my personal favorite foods here: –Mushu Pork –Chicken Lo Mein –Eel Roll –Dragon Roll –Phoenix Roll –Salmon Roll –Pork Fried Rice –Beef and Broccoli Happy eating.

Overall Disappointment! I had really high hopes for this place because they have pretty decent reviews, and I trust the people of Unilocal, lol! They are located down the street from me, they DELIVER sushi, And they don’t use MSG– major bonus points! So the first day I missed lunch(way cheaper food) so I ordered sushi. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the Philadelphia roll. The spicy tuna roll just tasted bad. It was weird. It wasn’t spicy at all whatsoever, first of all. The tuna was a really light orange color, with other things mixed in with it, and then there was just runny spicy mayo(that wasn’t spicy) slopped all over the top of it. Unimpressive. Bad flavor. Nothing like you would expect when ordering a spicy tuna roll. If they were trying to be different, they succeeded. But it wasn’t good. The Philadelphia roll had more cream cheese than anything else, including salmon. It was better than the spicy tuna roll, but way too much cream cheese! I was very disappointed with the sushi. I decided to give them another chance by ordering a Chinese food lunch combo– like I said, I had high hopes for them! To find a decent Chinese delivery place would be so convenient! But I was again disappointed. The fried rice is straight up yellow. Like Mexican rice. Definitely not white rice, fried with veggies and egg. YELLOW rice. Bland. I don’t know that it is ever actually fried, but rather just mixed with some peas and carrots. The Szechuan shrimp didn’t TASTE bad, however it’s 90% veggies with maybe 5 shrimp. The egg roll was so hard, I ate half and gave up. The crab rangoo was so-so. I wish they were better. Back to square one on trying to find a good Chinese place. I gave them 2 stars instead of one because the delivery times were pretty decent.
