Nester, your the best from the service to the atmosphere to the food, top notch. Best pizza this side of the Mississippi.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a place. Would never have even given it a second look if it hadn’t been for the recommendation of my uncle. Soon as you open the door, the aroma of delicious Italian food smacks you right in the face. Definitely gets your mouthwatering. I noticed there was a bar area, and there was not a seat to be had. One of the quietest bars I’ve ever seen… people were too busy stuffing the faces… LOL! Hubby and I ate in the main dining area. We ordered pretty much the same thing, except mine came with seafood and his didn’t. This pink sauce that they had… Amazing! Wish I remembered what it was called! The service was really friendly, and fast! The recommendations made by the server were excellent(Kerri). Excited to see how the rest of their menu is. Will definitely be back

One of my favorite choices for takeout in the North Providence area — Good food, big portions, reasonable prices, and friendly staff! I always end up ordering the Julienne salad. the dressing is just too good!

I don’t usually«have a thing» for restaurants but I LOVE this place, from the ambience to the food to the service I can honestly say that it does not fail to disappoint, definitely recommend this place for anyone that’s looking for dinner tonight!

Absolutely horrible. Our waitress was terrible. Chicken Parm was the worst ever, sauce was just as bad. If I could give the place a negative number, I would give it a 10. Really bad. One good thing, I’ve gotten the mushrooms with garlic bread to go and they were awesome. The prices are outrageous.

Ok we heard about this place from some friends who couldn’t believe we hadn’t been here, they insisted we try it. First impression it didn’t look that great inside, pretty basic. The pictures on Unilocal didn’t help this place, nothing really looked good from the pics, however our friends insisted we try it. Menu is small and isn’t really much of a variety of foods, pretty much just a combo of pizza, apps, and small selection of sandwiches. Took 20 minutes for someone to come get our drink order. I settled on an Italian grinder heated, without cheese. It came with cheese, no dressing of any kind and had all low quality ingredients. The food was tasteless and we didn’t even finish what we ordered. Asked for the check and left 5 minutes into our meal. Just flat out sucked. Poor food quality and shit service. I’m not sure how places like this stay in business in an area so saturated with Italian/pizza places. On the upside, when we left, we discovered a new place up the street that just opened called Sorrento that is amazing.

Tried so many things, and always happy! The ingredients are fresh, and their salad with their homemade dressing is amazing!

I usually really like this place but this time I ordered veal pharm and pasta and it was awful I told the waitress but she said nothing. So if you go here the calzones and pizza is good.

My newest kick has been«The Popeye» which is essentially a spinach calzone with cheese, served with the Greek salad spilling out of it… uh-maze-ing. If you haven’t tried this then you haven’t lived.

I have never been a big fan of wine and cheese, but seeing they just introduced a gluten free menu with gluten free pizza and pasta I figured i’ll give them one last try and I was disappointed for the last time. Came here for lunch today ordered the gluten free scrimp scampi that came with a salad. The salad was good, however the portion was very small. The scrimp scampi honestly was just bland had no flavor at all and the portion was really small as well compared to other restaurants, however my biggest complaint of the whole ordeal was the 3.50 up-charge for gluten free that’s absurd it’s always 1 – 2 dollars at most. When all is said and done the bill came to 24 with tip when I am paying that type of money I expect at least good size portions of food overall just not a good experience and I definitively won’t be back.

I went here on a Wednesday night. I ordered the White Sangria and our table split the Bruschetta and the Artichoke & Chicken Pizza on a wheat crust. The food was very good, especially the bruschetta. The pizza was excellent but just a little dry but we did get wheat crust, so it is usually dry anywhere you go. The drinks were also good(White Sangria). The service was pretty good but it seemed that the waitresses wanted us to rush through the meal, which was a little off-putting. The prices are ok but a little on the high side for what you’re getting. It’s definitely more of an «upscale» place price-wise, but the crowd and atmosphere didn’t seem that way. I liked the ambiance and the restaurant itself was nice. I definitely recommend people try it out, it is a cute little spot. You do get the«hill» vibe, minus the parking issues so that’s great.

The food is good. Service is pretty attentive. I got the chicken artichoke pizza, very good. My girlfriend got the pasta in vodka sauce. She asked for shrimp and they forgot to add it in. The server was pleasant when dealing with the issue. They brought a new plate out with shrimp for her. I ordered 60 min dog fish head but the tap ran out. They replaced the tap and gave me a compensation glass. You won’t be disappointed if you go here.

Tried it again… No change… Food is below average at best… Lots of processed cheese… Nothing fresh… Greasy with no flavor… Eat somewhere else!

Great off«the hill» Italian eats! The menu is a delicious combination of all the traditional Italian delights– eggplant parmesan that melts in your mouth, antipasto, lasagna and olio! I love that the entrees come with soup or salad, their house salad is not to be missed! With that, wine and cheese has awesome pizza and calzones that are offered on traditional or wheat dough. The Greek is fantastic! The dining room is bright with about 15 tables, sweet bar area and a function room in the back. My favorite space though is the small but accommodating patio that has a stone fireplace, great for a bottle wine and pizza on a warm summer night. Wine and cheese used to be the sister restaurant to the big cheese in Cranston so the menus are similar. I prefer wine and cheese for the ambiance and outdoor seating.

This is a restaurant that I never even heard of, so when someone suggested it I was hesitant. I came on Unilocal to be sure that I would love it and then I read all these complaints about how similar it was to «The Big Cheese» in Cranston. HUH! I LOVE The Big Cheese! SO needless to say I didn’t hesitate to go to dinner. The first thing that I did when I walked in was to ask about their relationship to «The Big Cheese» this is what I was told: A while back the owners of «The Big Cheese» and«Wine and Cheese» were in fact«sister companies». They shared recipes between the two locations(which accounts for why they are so much alike). As it stands now, they are unaffiliated. The owners of «Wine and Cheese» are in the process of writing new recipes and a new menu to make it unique to them. I have to say that I would really like to go back when they complete the new menu. My experience was good. I knew the waitress from high school so it was a little awkward. The room was loud and echo-y. The food was excellent. The Chicken and Veal Parmesan was excellent but just like T.B.C. My biggest turn off was the room set up. It is a tall building and the floor plan is very open. So you feel as if you are at a banquet hall eating with people you don’t know. It is so quiet that you are afraid to talk because others can here everything that you are saying.

Kind of a strange name for a restaurant you go to buy dinner but that aside, I tasted their pizza, salad and meatballs tonight at my nephew’s family’s house and was impressed! The meatballs were very substantial and flavorful, the salad was fresh and had generous amounts of feta cheese and while I am not usually a fan of Greek style pizza, both the pepperoni and spinach & feta cheese pizzas were excellent. So while this review is based on their takeout food, the consensus of my North Providence, Cranson and Warren, RI family members, it is also a great place at which to have dinner… or lunch!

My experience here was good, the food was delicious, the moscato wine was amazing! I will definitely come to Wine and Cheese again but honestly my friend and I were bothered by the customer service while we were sitting the workers seem to be bored and just kept looking at us even after we ordered our food about 3 – 4 ppl from the staff just stand around looking definitely makes you feel uncomfortable.

I agree with the poster below and it has been my major BEEF with this place and BIG Cheese in Cranston. A chicken parm comes BREADED! Why dont they do that! Super annoying. There are much better options in the North Prov area for pizza and sandwiches than this place.

This is a quaint restaurant with two good rooms for dining and a nice bar in the back room, with a fire place, could be made more intimate if they turned the lights down a bit. The front room is less intimate and you get to see the parking lot and traffic passing by. For the price, you really can’t complain too much. The Greek Salad(small size) is it’s best value and the mozzarella bread with sauce is a good value too. The pizza isn’t my favorite but I can usually get in and out in under 45 minutes. I like going there best for a quick lunch.
