Visited this wonderful little family restaurant tonight thanks to the dine out book. we had the Veal Parm and the Veal Saltimboca both were huge portions moist tender and delicious. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow, yeah! Service was excellent and you could even hear the chef pounding the veal in the kitchen. We will definitely be going back to try other dishes. I would have given them 5 stars except for the pesky fruit fly.

I discovered the hidden gem because of Living Social. Wow, what a find. The ingredients are the freshest i’ve seen in a while. I started with a house salad. Every single bit of green was super fresh ans crisp — a great sign that the kitchen takes their product seriously. The clam chowder was chunky, fresh ans very good. And finally, the chicken parm was very memorable. A HUGE breast of chicken, lightly coated in a tastey batter before smothered in sauce and cheese. I couldn’t finish everything. If you live within an hour of Providence, this restaurant is worth the drive! Glad i discovered them.

I have been to Ethan Anthony 4 times now. The first time was back in November when they had first opened. I had purchased a groupon but on arrival was uncertain I wanted to go in. The outside appearance was not inviting at all, almost scary, next to a bar. But I wanted to use my groupon so took a chance. I am so glad I did. The food was wonderful, so good in fact that we have returned 3 times. Good fresh food, generous portions and friendly service. The place seems physically transformed every time I visit. They continue to make improvements and it is now a very cute little restaurant. And yes, it is a tiny place. My favorite dish is the Pollo ala Anthony(I have it topped with red sauce). They have delicious fresh fish and chips, great calamari and great chicken saltimbuca. The only reason I have not given them 5 stars is you cannot get an alcohol beverage. They do not have their liquor license yet and you cannot BYOB. I hope they are able to get their license soon as I look forward to returning and enjoying a glass of wine with my delicious dinner!

My friend and I went there using a groupon a week after it opened. It was a little busy(with everyone using a groupon). I wasn’t very impressed. The atmosphere wasn’t anything special — they pretty much stuffed a bunch of chairs and tables in a very small room. Part of the kitchen was viewable, too, which was a little awkward. I liked the chicken soup, even though it was a little salty. However, I ordered the entrée with white wine, but it was just plain shell type noodles with oil on it. No sauce and extremely bland. My friend had eggplant parmesan which he really liked. They do have desserts, but they didn’t have a menu. We had tiramisu that was pretty good. We’re not going back.

I bought a Groupon for this place before realizing where it was. The description on the Groupon site had nothing to do with the actual location. This place has been a variety of restaurants over the past 10 yrs and none of them has lasted. We went a full month after purchasing the Groupon and the place was dead. They did not have a liquor license — apparently something hung up at Town Hall(no surprise there, North Providence politics at their best!) but this is something I would think you would have taken care of before going with the Groupon. I had the Pollo ala Ethan, sounded great but it was a bit dry, could have used a bit of sauce to bring all the flavors together. Hubby had linguini and meatballs which he enjoyed. Their sauce is excellent and the portions are huge. The server was attentive but I was disappointed by no wine, no espresso and no dessert menu!
