Me and my best friend went here 2÷10÷16 the food was pretty good I haven’t been here in awhile but they do need to change their booth seats they are not up to date so there was tape from the booths stuck to my pants lol. Overall the food was ok we may try a different restaurant next time we go for Chinese

Basic Chinese restaurant. I just ate at lunch on a Saturday and everything I had was really fresh… I visited here about a year ago an hour before closing time and it wasn’t fresh at all. So my advice would be to check it out around lunch time. The sushi was unremarkable… like typical Asian buffets… small and minimal choices. I didn’t try the hibachi, but it was small and appeared pretty basic. Favorite on the bar was coconut chicken. They didn’t have a lot of shrimp dishes… maybe one. I saw one beef and one pork dish, so it was mostly chicken, which I usually don’t care for. Chicken is my personal last choice. But like I said, every dish I tried was very fresh, so for chicken dishes, I was pleasantly surprised. Price was typical(about $ 10 for buffet and soft drink) and service was good. No complaints at all about this place, other than I wouldn’t recommend coming at night. But definitely a decent meal if you’re in the area and crave Asian. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here, but I wouldn’t avoid it either.

I’ve been a patron of New China for a very long time, but I think I’ve finally broke it off with them. This was once a very well executed buffet. Sadly, that’s no longer the case. IF you decide to dine here, be sure to go for lunch. That appears to be the only time to get fresh food. If you come for dinner, be prepared to either be disappointed by the absence of the more popular items, or the fact that your food has been sitting out for hours. With the close proximity to my neighborhood, it’s a shame that I can’t bring myself to patronize any longer. I have nothing really negative to say about the waitstaff(or the person running the cash register), but I really don’t have anything positive to say either. The atmosphere is cold, and you almost feel like you’re annoying the guy when you go to pay him.

I remember when this place first opened – it was clean, the food was freshly cooked and had not been sitting all day. Tonight, it’s just sad. It’s only 6:30PM, and the food is almost inedible. Most of the food is lukewarm or even cold(the vegetables and one of the indistinguishable entrees – mystery meat!). I didn’t try any of the soups because I didn’t think I could stand to sip cold soup when it’s meant to be hot. The steam tables need to be ON. The place needs a makeover in the kitchen and the dining area. Icing on the cake — my husband just found some black hair on the canned peaches. We won’t return.

We came for lunch Sunday. I didn’t check the reviews before eating. I’m glad that I didn’t. The selection was better than pretty much all the Chinese buffets in Arkansas. Frog legs, crayfish, baked oysters a Mongolian BBQ(which is a flat top grill). The vegetables were cooked so they were crisp and colorful still, the variety of choices in chicken, pork, beef as well as noodles was good. All the food we both picked was the proper temp and the waitress filled my glass constantly, removed plates as they were finished and was very pleasant. The price for two was $ 20.45 which for a Sunday afternoon was pretty good. I’d come back or recommend this place to anyone

This place was horrible. The food was improperly cooked. I tried multiple items and nothing was edible except one chicken on a stick. Now I am sick just from sampling their fare.

This place is awesome!!! Lots of room for guests to spread out, almost always booths available even during the busiest times. The food(including the sushi) is delicious. Service is always attentive to refilling drinks. One of my favorite places in North Little Rock!

Had a late(8 pm) Monday night dinner at New China with my spouse. Very few patrons were dining. The buffet was a little disappointing at that late time. While there was a wide selection, the food didn’t appear its freshest. Case in point, the green beans were somewhat withered and the bottom of the dim sum was very dry and stuck to the steamer. My favorites from the night were the green beans(withered, but very delicious and among the best in the state), the curried shrimp(would have liked more zucchini in it), and the jalapeño chicken. I also found the hot and sour soup fine. I was disappointed that the entrees were protein intensive and there were very few vegetables available. Cabbage, carrots and green peppers were conspicuously absent. My spouse liked the boiled shrimp(flavorful) and the BBQ pork chunks. New China boosts on it doors a Mongolian BBQ and sushi. The Mongolian BBQ was not available on our visit. The spouse was disappointed in the sushi. I enjoyed the more traditional piece I tried and the one sashimi available. For the low $ 8.55 dinner price, we felt we received good value. Our waitress was very attentive and unobtrusive.

Got there around 8, way before closing time but to me the food could have been fresher. Nothing(foodwise) really stood out as fabulous. The place was adorned nicely, was very clean and my server was thoroughly attentive.
