Absolutely amazing Chinese food. We had the egg drop soup for two — which was enough for four! The triple delight, sweet and sour chicken, Mr. Chengs chicken, and the General Tsos were all delicious. Traveling full time makes it hard to find good Asian food and Mr. Chengs did not disappoint. Staff were nice and friendly. Will be back!

Another great meal, this time sticky buns and cashew chicken. Love this duo. As always fast service too.

Hands down my favorite Chinese place in NLR. Food comes out fast and hot! Try the egg drop soup for 2! This big bowl offers enough for 4 servings and is by far the best egg drop soup I have ever had!

The food is great, they seem to find the way to give authentic flavor to it. I got to spend a couple of weeks in China and I think this place gets it right! The shredded pork with garlic sauce is great, a little spicy; also try the steamed mini buns!

Absolutely fantastic! Just recently discovered this place and I can’t stop going here. It’s not a buffet, you wait to be seated and order from a menu, so you kinda have to know what certain Asian food terms mean. There are several pictures on the wall showing different entrees which is helpful. The portions are huge. My friend and I usually just get one thing and split it. The atmosphere is super relaxing and zen-like. The servers are super nice and attentive, but a few are not the best English speakers so it’s difficult if you need to ask for any thing too specific or picky. The food is to die for. Super fresh, always hot. Comes out pretty quickly. They also do a lot of Togo orders which is a plus! The Mongolian beef is my favorite.

My husband and I refuse to eat Chinese food anywhere else in North Little Rock. The lunch and dinners are both more than enough food. The only problem I have with this place is I can’t stray from my favorite dish, pork with black bean sauce! #delish

Nice place. Very clean. Food was good, but it wasn’t over the top or spectacular. I’d come back but it’s a little expensive for what you get.

WOW — bland, bland, and bland. Yes, Mr. Cheng’s is legitimately… like every other Chinese place out there. There was absolutely no flavor — everything tasted the same. We ordered Cashew Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken for carryout. First, they gave us one small carton of rice for two full meals. Then, General Tso’s is supposed to be a little spicy, but it had no spice at all! Plus, on the Cashew Chicken, the cashews and the chicken had the same consistency. And be patient ordering — the staff doesn’t speak or understand English too well, and they get irritated when you repeat your questions about the food. Sorry, but it wasn’t worth my $ 35 bucks. Save your money on this VERY average food — we can all make better at home. My first(and last) time here.

Best food around the area! The atmosphere may not be upscale but the food is off the chart!

Stopped here while passing through town based entirely on good Unilocal reviews. Disappointed is a good description. We had 4 different entrees and all were mediocre. Best one in our crowd was the kung pao beef. Neither the egg rolls nor the steamed dumplings were anything special either. If I had it to do again I’d choose the burrito place in the same strip mall.

Ok, where do I start? When we first arrived, we were promptly greeted and seated in a near empty resaurant. We were each served a complimentary spring roll that was quite good and recieved drinks quickly. Then we noticed the menu had no description of dishes or sides(STICKY white rice is the ONLY side). And there are NO combination dishes. Once we ordered with seemingly robotic staff, we waited. One dish at a time our order came. First egg drop soup(tasted like chicken broth with mushrooms, peas and carrots), then my wife’s side order of spring rolls. Then came my wife’s entrée and my white rice. A few minutes later, my side order of egg rolls followed about 3 minutes later by my entrée. About 5 minutes later, my wife’s side of fried rice(tasteless) came. Start to finish, serving our meal probably took 10 minutes and NOT due to a break between soup and entrees. Spring rolls and egg rolls were good. The rest was near bland. Quantity was fine for price, quality wasn’t. They do not have fresh hot mustard, only the flat table packets. And if you order a meat dish, expect NOTHING else. Basically, they need not reserve me a future seat. The only saving grace were the egg/spring rolls, hence the 2.

Mr. Chengs’s on McCain Blvd is legit. They offer a military discount on already frugal prices for excellent Chinese food. Family of 3 shared veggie fried rice, General Tsao Chicken & side order of white rice. Total was $ 17 after discount taken. It was really good &WAY better than the Chinese restaurant located in Lakewood(net to TCBY). If you’re in the mood for Chinese food on a budget give Mr. Cheng a call!

They have the usual menu expected for Chinese restaurants. Their food is good, always freshly cooked it seems. When I get the craving I just drop in for lunch and put in my order and it doesn’t take them very long to prepare it. I love that they have milk teas because that used to be so hard to find in this area of Arkansas without having to drive all the way to the heart of Little Rock. Their staff is friendly and easy to understand. The property is clean, even their restrooms. I brought 13 people with me for a late dinner and they accomdated us pretty well. They have tvs if you want to watch an ongoing game during your meal. I think it’s the best eat in Chinese restaurant in the area.

It’s basically the same as Mr. Chen’s in Little Rock but a dollar or so more expensive. I don’t know if they are directly related since it’s not the same name as the Little Rock and Jackson, MS location, but the menu is the same. As long as the food is okay, I’ll probably come back. Surprisingly busy when I went for dinner for some fried tofu and spicy chicken, so that is a good sign! If you have trouble deciding what to get, I would recommend looking at the Mr. Chen Unilocal page. Also, their lunch special is really really inexpensive.

Décor is cozy and nicer than expected, but too small for groups. Surprised to see that they have liquor, not sure if it’s just beer and wine or what. They screwed up my to go order on my second visit and almost did it again on the third. Kinda ticked about not getting all my food on second visit. I’m trying my best to support a new business that’s near my job, but they have some work to do. Didn’t appreciate their amnesia when asking for compensation from my previous order.

This is a new addition to some of the folks from Mr. Chen’s in Little Rock. I’ve got plenty of reviews there, so now for the new Mr. Cheng’s. First about the place. The restaurant is the former Lemongrass Asian Bistro so they have completely remodeled and really added to the ambience. There are fish tanks to display what fresh seafood is avail and they added a quasi banquet room w/Karaōke too. They do have a liquor license so they have beer and wine available as well. We ordered eggplant w/garlic sauce. This is a traditional Szechuan dish that was executed very well. If you want ask for extra hot as it’s traditionally done. The Taiwanese braised pork is another great dish we tried. A layer of fat then the most succulent and tender portk that melts in tour mouth. A savory sauce with cilantro on top. Very tasty. Next was the shrimp with black bean sauce. This is so good, explosive in flavor and makes you want more after every bite. Lastly we got the asparagus with chicken, beef and shrimp. Very good. Overall dishes were really well done and the flavor was as it tasted at Mr. Chen’s. We will definitely be back and this is a highly recommend from me.
