Sizzler

Steaks were superb!, I asked for a medium steak and it was flavorful and juicy. The chicken noodle soup was thick, hearty and tasty, not the old watered down chicken soup like before. The bread was hot, buttery, yum-​yum! Definitely coming back!

The food was good, if you have ever eaten at Sizzler it’s moderate dining for a fair/​reasonable price. What really makes the place is the staff, they’re polite, professional, and do their best to accommodate you. I had the steak & all you can eat shrimp, but I’m really moving away from red meat or limit my intake I asked could I replace with the grilled chicken. Jose the cashier stepped away briefly to ask & it was ok. After finishing my meal I asked to speak with the manager Nidya, whom I told i appreciated her oking that small jester, but it meant a lot to me, being that we’re in a age of where good customer service is lacking, and for those reasons alone, I will continue to spend my money with Nidya and her very professional staff at Sizzler North Hollywood, Ca on Laurel Cyn

My friends and I have been talking about going to the Sizzler for over a year now. Today my brother suggested we go check it out — and boy am I glad he did!
When I walked into the Sizzler I was immediately impressed by how short the line was. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so I asked the lady at the register if she’d ever tried the Malibu Melt. She said that she had friend it and that it was one of her favorite things on the menu. I think she may have been lying about having tried the sandwich; she didn’t seem very convincing. She seemed as if she had something weighing on her mind — probably personal issues from her home life. I thought about asking her if she wanted to talk about it, but she seemed pretty reserved and I didn’t want to pry. I ordered the Malibu Melt anyway.
My friends wanted to order the all you can eat salad bar but wanted to check out the quality of the available items before ordering it. The cashier graciously allowed my friends to peruse the spread. They came back happy as clams (although, clams weren’t offered). They said the salad bar looked «pretty good» and both ordered it.
I ordered first and when I got to our table our server asked me for the receipts for our whole party but I only had my own receipt. I think she thought I was lying or was mad at me. The server and I were both pretty upset and confused. She left the table and eventually brought us waters. My friends were given two plates each and filled them up quite quickly. The server never brought replacement plates until we were ready to leave. Thankfully, the Sizzler stocks 3 ply napkins. They both used the napkins to clean their plates before returning to the salad bar.
My Malibu Melt was pretty good.
The atmosphere was just as I had hoped. It seemed to be a nice family friendly environment. The kind of place you can go to hang out and have a few beers and a bite (except the beers are $ 5.25 so if I’m drinking at the Sizzler, I’m only getting 1 Miller Lite). The music was really pleasant except for the song that came on that mentioned smoking a joint. A gentleman acros cross the dining room kept singing along to himself to that song and I suspect he may have been high on marijuana.
When we left the Sizzler one of my friends said his stomach hurt but I think he may have thought the chicken was boneless. It wasn’t.
All in all when I ask myself «why would I ever go back to the Sizzler», I don’t really have a good answer. I might go back though.

This has got to be one of the worst Sizzlers I have been to. I have been here 2X in the past month and the service is lousy. I ordered steak and all you can eat shrimp, when I run out of shrimp nobody ask if i want more. Same goes with the bread they give you. They are not attentive at all here nor do they pay attention to detail. It is very cold inside to. So cold it is NOT comfortable at all. Sorry Sizzler, just telling the truth. As for the food… great. It’s just the service that sux.

There salad bar is ok they don’t have any chicken breast to add to your salad all the time. The couple times I’ve gone they have it but rarely. The chicken noodle soup is really good I give them that.

Ordered the 6oz tri tip meal, this comes with the steak and access to the buffet for 13.99. Food was sufficient. Not a bad place to go for a quick bite but nothing to write home about either. Came on a Sunday afternoon and it seems to be slightly understaffed but it’s a buffet so you just need the waitress for drinks. Had to wait 10minutes for a water refill. I’d come again. Happy dining.

The steak portion could be better; the steak quality wasnt as great as i thought. The fries was cold when it arrive. One of my friends plate had missing items. Yeah i’ll go here as a last resort. The place really needs an upgrade. If it wasnt for the nice hispani worker, i would rate this with a 2 star

This place is great. The cook the food right and prices are good. Are server was great she kept checking in on us. Getting are refill in stuff. At the end she even gave us a coupon to come and try there new hamburgers.

My Boss and I have been coming to this Sizzler over a year now, dining here for lunch. The service and Food have been consistently Great!
The Managers Nidya and Marta, has always greatest us with a smile and they know our regular order every time we come in.
If your looking for a place to have a Satisfying meal at a Great value, then this Sizzler is the place to Dine!

My first yet again experience at the sizzler. We went in specifically to try their steaks. I have heard they are great. I was pleasantly surprised! My t-​bone was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It also had what I believe was a hint of thyme that toy was cooked with. It melted in my mouth and was the best steak I’ve had since NC.. I was a little unimpressed with the fact the steaks only came with one side and salad was not an option. The server was a little slow in getting our drinks. But the restaurant was clean and friendly. Delicious food! My top choice for steak in the area

Okay, so I know that Sizzler is not exactly a gourmet restaurant by any means, but my parents love going there. And, being that I try to be a good daughter, I occasionally indulge them by going to Sizzler. It’s been about a year since the last time I went to any Sizzler and this is the first time that I went to this location. The restaurant definitely needs an upgrade. Everything felt very old. There is plenty of parking in the back (which shared by other stores). As I smelled weed and urine walking from the parking lot to the restaurant, I realized that this was not going to be my favorite dining experience.
I walked in the restaurant and it was VERY empty. (Almost surprising, as I feel like most of the Sizzler that I have been have been packed for dinner time). I got seated right away. I decided to order 2 shrimp skewers, while my mom ordered the steak and shrimp combo. I also added the salad bar. This made both of our meals close to $ 20 per person. The salad bar was definitely outdated, but it had all the regular items. Since this restaurant was relatively empty, I noticed that the veggies was a little older (which I am assuming does not turn over as quickly). My biggest complaint though comes from the actual meal that I ordered. My shrimp skewers were seriously SUPER tiny. The rice tasted undercooked and flavorless. Then, my parents, who were sharing the steak/​shrimp combo uttered words that I never thought I would hear, which is «I think we should get the steak cooked less than well done.» This coming from my parents who I refuse to take to nice steakhouse because they will order their steak well done. Somehow Sizzler has found a way to make a 6 oz steak burnt on one side and medium on the other side. Haha. If I wasn’t so disappointed, I would have laughed. Bleh all around to food. I can’t believe I payed $ 20 per person for a meal. For that, I could have gone to a nicer place.
If there was any redeeming qualities, I would have given this place one more star. But, even the service was mediocre. The waitress was very nice, but for an empty restaurant, I almost never saw her. I had to hunt down my own soup bowl. I do not think that I would be coming back here ever again. If you want to try Sizzler, I would suggest the one in Torrance or West Covina, they are probably 2 of the best Sizzler that I have been to (and I have been to a lot over the years).

Typical, non-​crowded, and relaxing. I know it is supposed to be known for its steak but to me it is not even close to impressive. I literally go here when I don’t want to get fast food. The price is expensive and I usually just get a salad bar and some dinner rolls (which I absolutely love) but then that is it. Anyway that is all I really have to say about this restaurant.

I love their all-​you-​can-​eat buffet. They’re options are so much that I don’t order anything from their menu. Although my wife does.

I wish this place served breakfast. Their salad bar is always delicious and waiters are fast and friendly. Front desk is always there to greet you with a smile. Thanks guys!

After reading thru most of the 38 reviews I felt it was a good mix to make a decision that would be valid, I ordered the Signature Entrée which was the 6 fried shrimp and a side which I had the baked potato.
It comes with the endless salad bar which I had some clam chowder and I gave the salad a good once over especially after viewing so many mixed reviews. Everything looked fresh and it was neat, it looked very appealing.
My main entrée came and I was just finishing up with my salad so it didn’t come too soon or I needed to wait for it.
The staff was busy, especially the guy taking care of us making sure our drinks were filled, they had younger guy help out which inky helped our dining experience.
Not sure if care for ordering the food at the counter even though you see menu boards behind the register and to the right of you, it gives you the feeling of being pressured to make a quick decision because you know their are hungry people behind you that want you to hurry and place your order.
So be sure to pay attention and start looking at the menu boards while your waiting in line!

It’s sizzler! It serves the purpose of my need to chow on salad.
I’ve tried the steaks –burgers, just not the quality I want at the price they charge.

I’m a fan, I been eating here since I was 6 years old. When I was about 8 years old I ate their menudo soup and I threw it all up. When I was about 11 I got food poisoning from their Malibu chicken. Most recently I was having lunch and the kid on next booth towards the right of me threw up and I watched the whole thing happen, it took them 30 minutes to clean it up, the smell was horrible and I myself almost threw up. I requested my money and was given a free meal coupon to use anytime I wanted.
Despite all of this, why do I keep coming back? Because I love their wings but most importantly their pound cake. The pound cake is the most delicious sweet bread I’ve ever had, so soft so tasty, taste exactly like Sara Lee’s pound cake available at grocery stores. The pound cake is located next to the ice cream sundae bar and this is the only sizzler that carries it. Believe me, I looked all over at many different Sizzlers locations and this is the only one that has it. I been to Inglewood, Burbank, Sylmar, Balboa and Pasadena and no other Sizzlers has it, not sure why but I’m glad they do. I Love it so much that at the end of my meal I always end up wrapping up some slices on a napkin and take them home with me. Yummy the pound cake is so delicious, ah man, I’m craving it again. I have a problem.
Oh yeah, the food and the service… Yeah… that’s, well yeah that’s pretty bad.

Steak and Malibu Chicken was my favorite childhood Sizzler meal and it was nice to experience that again. With sautéed spinach!
Service staff was friendly and attentive. My only complaint? The cashier sneezed, covered her mouth with her hands, and then proceeded to handle our plates and silverware and cups with her germ filled hands!!! MANAGEMENT, ARE YOU LISTENING? This means you aren’t fully doing your job in training. That was pretty gross. People, learn to sneeze into your armpit or elbow, not onto your hands or on the food. Or wash your hands.

Against my wishes, I had lunch here with a couple of really nice ladies. It was pretty empty. The buffet was a mess and lacking. The food wasn’t good and there was food on the floor, to the point where we were starring at a half eaten chicken wing on the floor that was passed up and even kicked by several of the waitresses. You only go here if you have never had good food. I’m sorry, I won’t be back.

«This used to be my favorite place. Dang it.» These are my mom’s words about Sizzler after we noticed a straight pink bottom lip on the rim of her strawberry lemonade cup. DISGUSTING! Didn’t look as if it had even been wiped at all. My mom nor I wear lipstick or lip gloss or chapstick.
The waiter returned with a new strawberry lemonade and said «I’ll tell the manager to check the machine that washes it.» And walked away. By then, we were disgusted and no longer hungry or thirsty.
Bottom line the food is OK, but when you think about the sanitation you don’t really want to eat that dirty stuff.
