Ok so, I stopped in on a whim and boy am I sorry I did. It’s located in a dirty little strip mall on the corner. The outside appearance should have been the first indicator. This place was swarming with flies! I know it’s the season but get some fly strips or something! All of my food was either room temp or cold, not even warm. It was all obviously old too from sitting out. The biscuit and the red beans were the only thing edible. I got the five dollar basket with fries and red beans. Nastiest food I have had in a long time! The bathroom is located OUTSIDE, gas station style. I didn’t use it, just observed this. This location really needs better management. I don’t even know how they are still in business serving this horrible quality of food. What a waste, and now I have to drink some baking soda and water because I feel indigestion and heartburn coming on. Keep drivin past this location folks!

I wanted some comfort food tonight but that soo did not happen. I ended up throwing my whole meal away. Okayyy sooo this review is long overdue and this will be a reminder to myself to never ever go to this location again. I maybe go here 3 times a year maybe 4 but I swear the very last 3 times I have been to this location the food has tasted awful. Tonight was the 3rs strike. The chicken tenders were very undercooked and probably were sitting out and not cooked fresh to order as they were really cold and didn’t taste good at all. The fries were super mushy and all stuck together and the mashed potatoes were flavorless. I told myself I shouldn’t go here because the last time it wasn’t good either. This is the 3rd strike. I like Popeyes but this location is horrible!!! Oh and the soda machine was running clear for Coke. I told the girl at the counter she was nice but they had to fix it. Come on people get with the program. Im not the only one another gentleman told the girl at the counter that last time he came his cajun rice was mushy and he wanted to make sure that the rice is not mushy this time. Anyways making a mental note and giving a warning don’t go here I don’t plan on ever visiting this location again. Waste of $ 10!!! :(

Love this Popeyes! Love the p.m. Staff on Fridays… there are every fast and the cashier is so kind, let’s me know of any promos that are going on and always has a smile on her face(Which I find refreshing since most fast food places have horrible cashiers who just hate their jobs) and of course Food always tastes great!

I looked at Unilocal only to find the closest Popeye’s to where I was. I don’t need ratings. I know I love Popeye’s chicken. I was shocked to see such low ratings. I then noticed that all Popeye’s locations have low ratings. I then noticed that all fried chicken chains had low ratings. Ha. I guess Los Angeles doesn’t like fried chicken. Of all the chains Popeye’s is by far the best. Their fried chicken is a billion times better than KFC and their side dishes are 2 billion times better. I love the rice and beans and the mashed potatoes have sausage in the gravy. I would normally give 4 stars but I have to compensate for all the bad reviews from people who don’t know good fried chicken. This location looked brand new and funny as it is, something felt not quite right about it being so clean and pristine. It just felt more corporate.

Biscuits and fries are delicious but there is wayyyy too much oil in all of the foods.

Don’t. Just don’t. Don’t get the Chicken PoBoy, don’t get the side of fries, don’t pay for biscuits, and especially don’t get the mashed potatoes and gravy. I am so sad the way they treat potatoes there at Popeyes, soggy French fries with crappy onion powder seasoning, and mashed white paste they claim to be potatoes. A last note because I’m forced to even give one star. The fried chicken wasn’t totally devastating, but I’d drive the extra couple miles to get awesome, inexpensive chicken, dips, and fries from Wing Stop.

It’s Popeye’s, what else do you need to know? Small/shared parking. Better off parking on the street. Inside is clean and they keep the riff-raff out. No complaints!

What can I say, I love me some spicy fried leg and thigh for $ 1.29 on Tuesdays(I miss when this used to be 99 cents!). Of all the fast food fried chicken places, Popeye’s is at the top. I only come on Tuesdays, because when you get used to the $ 1.29 deal, everything else is not worth it. The restaurant is clean and the service is quick. As with all Popeyes, some patrons are on the ghetto side, making me wish this place had a drive thru.

If I could give this establishment a negative 5 star rating, I’d happily do so, unfortunately I can’t, so 1 star will suffice — and that’s being generous. I went in yesterday night around 10 because the family was craving chicken. We love Popeyes, so it was only a fitting choice. My experience was horrible from the moment I walked in. The girl behind the counter(Nancy) made eye contact but chose not to acknowledge me. I conceded to the reasoning that it was late and she was probably tired — no problem. Strike 1: I asked what type of specials they had regarding family meals, and she casually points toward the menu… I kindly asked for assistance — that means assist me Strike 2: I placed my order. i questioned the cost as it differs from what is posted on the menu. she rung it up wrong and had the nerve to say that I gave her the order the wrong way… WHATEVER!!! There is no science to ordering CHICKEN!!! Strike 3: As I’m handing her my debit card to process my payment, that rude b*=#h had the nerve to blatantly snatch it from my hand. At that moment, my patience with her bad attitude and service ran out. I voiced to her that there was no need to snatch my card and be so rude. I asked for the manager and she told me to, «go and look for him». I then asked for the manager’s name and she replied, «.find it». It kept all of me from jumping behind that counter to slap some common courtesy into her. As a person in the customer service field, she should know how to treat people with better respect. If I was a rude customer, I would maybe say that the mistreatment was warranted, but I was not. This cashier(Nancy) needs to be retrained or fired… She was AWFUL!!! She gave this establishment a really bad name. I’m going forth to file a formal complaint with the corporate office to report her blatant disrespect. She just had a nasty attitude. Needless to say, I requested a refund. I refuse to support such bad customer service. AWFULEXPERIENCE… HORRIBLECASHIER… WORSTSERVICEEVER

This one of the better Popeyes locations. Clean, quiet, less traffic than other locations in the surrounding areas in Reseda or Sepulveda and not as scuzzy on the exterior. Never out of what I order. Definitely not healthy for you but fried chicken is not supposed to be. Beats KFC all day. Crispy skin, spicy flavor, meaty pieces of tender, juicy fried bliss.

Note that this review pertains to this location of Popeye’s, not Popeye’s in general. Popeye’s is one of my favorite places to eat, and has been for years. when I found one near where I’ve been working, I was delighted. Delight soon turned sour, however, as I found this Popeye’s to be very unlike others. I have consistently noticed very small portions when ordering. For example, I’ve ordered popcorn shrimp, and they give me exactly 12 popcorn shrimp. This seemed paltry and stingy, but maybe that’s the normal serving? A recent visit to the Eagle Rock Popeye’s confirmed my suspicion, as they gave me… well…too many popcorn shrimp to count. At least 40. The North Hills branch also gives you your order without dipping sauce. Yes, you get it if you ask, but this place seems obsessed with pinching pennies. They also frequently have Fox News on their flatscreen above the counter, which scores no points with me. I’ve also noticed that only one register takes credit or debit cards, while the other is cash only. This location has a lot of stuff going on that seems contrary to Popeye’s traditional practices. Someone from the home office should stop in for a visit.

I love popeyes, and they pretty much work the same wherever you go. So for starters, I give the food a 5, fantastic for what it is. The service, however, differs from place to place. And it sucked here. They charge you 75cents for using your debit card, and they never warn you. Also, if you’re down for a little math situation, a $ 5 order lets you use Credit instead, which is at no charge. So my friend uses debit unknowingly(the cashier just decides this for him), gets charged the 75cents, and beats $ 5 by a few pennies. That is, he could have bought more food, reached $ 5, avoided the Debit charge, and eaten more food. The cashier didn’t say a word. Then it was my turn. I spent $ 5+ to avoid the charge and get more food, only to find out there was a deal on the exact food I got that could have saved me 2 dollars. So, she let me exceed $ 5 to avoid the charge, but didn’t include the two dollar deal on a side+biscuit that could have totaled my order at around $ 3. Her reason: «You never told me you wanted the deal». Yeah, because people like paying extra money for the same thing for no reason. Awful service.

Chicken is 2 pieces(Leg and Thigh) for $ 1 on Tuesdays. They had the special on Tuesdays & Thursdays, but i guess they they were losing money so they only have it on Tuesdays now. Staff is friendly and very helpful. They also have deals on sides for very little $. The only down side here is the parking, it gets full really fast.

I give it a 2 because I went there late last night and I didn’t have to wait in line(: The employee greeted me with a smile which was a plus, ALWAYS good to be greeted with a smile even if you hate your job LOL. What can I say I would have given them a 3 if they would have a DRIVETHRU! just saying I rather NOT get out of my car sometimes. Food was good(according to my daughter) but nothing especial. I def think that they should work on getting a drive thru

Sometimes you just want a bit of spicy chicken, some seasoned fries and a cup of sweet tea. Well, I don’t live in Texas anymore, so, when I feel the urge I come here. The food is good, the sides are good. Not much more to say. It’s fast food, but it is decent fast food. That gets my vote.

Popeye’s is delish. However, there are a bunch of shady-ass looking cats that frequent this place, but then again, it’s not like you can find an upscale Popeye’s or something.

This popeye is pretty good, but whenever I go in its typically empty. I love their seasoned fries :) The parking lot is very small and it is shared by a few other stores.
