I’ve been going there with my family for over 35 years. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. A quintessential pizza-bar.

I went there once along time ago and, decided to give it a try again the other night. Ordered 2 cheese pizzas both pies must of weighed a pound each, due to the outrageous topping of cheese. Had the same issue b4 when i went awhile back. I decided to give them another shot. And it was the same outcome too cheesy. If u like pizza heavy on the cheese Buddys is your place. If not drive further up the road to the Town Spa.

I’ve only had the pizza at Buddy’s and I always get take out. They serve bar-style pizza and it’s good. I think Town Spa and Linwood are a little better but Buddy’s is certainly worth a trip. One good thing about this place is that they take credit cards.

I don’t get the burnt edge pepperoni pizza … I get the burnt edge Hawaiian pizza. It’s my go to place for pub pizza and I know it’s better than Town Spa. You could make an argument for Linwood or The Cape Cod in Brockton — but you might lose that argument too. I’ve not tried anything else but pizza but have seen some good looking wings, tips and fried seafood go by while waiting. And waiting … and waiting. The women at the take out counter will always reply the pizza will be ready in 5 minutes no matter how long you end up waiting… could end up to be 20 minutes or longer. It’s like a Saturday Night Live skit. Total wait times have approached 45 minutes — good thing the beers are pretty cheap here. Finding a spot at the bar — unless you get there before 5 or after 8 is nearly impossible. A true townie bar — they may all be related for all I know. The TV’s are smallish, and it’s not a great place to watch sports. But damn that pizza is just sooo good.

This is a true dive that the locals love, if you don’t get the greasy«burnt endz» pepperoni pizza you must have hit your head. There’s no other reason for being their other than THAT pizza, keno, and pitchers of cheap commercial bear. The staff is a little rude, the place smells of… something that I am having trouble describing, not in a good way. But the pizza can be so good that all of this can be easily forgotten. Never tried anything else. Kind of afraid. Good times. Go get it!!!

Buddy’s(or as one friend knows it as only ‘The Union Villa’) gets five stars by being exactly what it wants to be and nothing more. A local old-school lounge/tavern with excellent pub pizza, good basic bar food, and strong, cheap drinks that make you come back for more. Staff has always been nice when we’re there but don’t come for the ambience, décor or latest micro, craft or culinary trend. Go for the burnt ends pizza, a real drink, and the killer juke box. Your inner 1960s self — and your wallet — will thank you.

You want to hear the strangest thing? I’ve probably ordered 1,000 pizzas from here over my life. I have loved everyone of them. Today I ordered a pizza to take to my dad who is in a nursing home. I asked if they could cut it into 1″ squares so he could eat it himself. I was told«no». What??? Someone was on a power trip today.

I grew up eating the pizza at Venus Café in Whitman, Damiens in Hanson and Cape Cod Café in Brockton. I’ve had Town Spa which isn’t in my top favorites, though I’ve heard it was better years ago, and I’ve yet to try Linwood so I can’t compare to them. For me, this is hands down the best bar pizza around. I recommend getting your edges burnt. It’s great!

Ultimate in Local Roadside Dive/Bar Tavern, Real good food survived up by real good people! Very reasonable prices. While the spillover conversations from the bar may not be for the faint of heart, these are good folks out enjoying themselves. Hand cut Fries and Onion rings served up by staff that understands good service!

Buddy’s has great food at reasonable prices. Their pizzas are always cooked perfectly and their steak tips are the best around. They always cook the tips perfectly to order. This place is a total gem!

ordered the country fried chicken, potatoes were from a box, corn was super watery and not very fresh and the chicken wasn’t too crispy. also tried the BLT pizza. It was okay. onion rings weren’t very good either, they were dense and chewy. seems like the oil needs to be changed. update: asked for boxes and the check, waited 27 minutes before asking the woman on keno for boxes and walked up to the computer to pay check. never returning, not worth the less than mediocre food

I’ve been there a couple of times and the food is great, but if you don’t sit at the bar, the service is so poor I don’t want to use the word service when describing it. I was there last week and the dining area was fairly empty and with three servers hanging around, it was finally the bar tender who asked if we would like to order. She flagged a server down and I felt that being there is an inconvenience to her. Again, the food arrived looking and tasting great. Plenty of it and piping hot, but empty glasses took away from this. The server did not come back to our table for anything until we have to flag her down to pay the bill.

I’ve been going here pretty much my entire life. Best pizza evah! Seriously, there are 3 places in a 25 mile radius with the best bar pizza and Buddy’s is one of them. Also, awesome steak tips and the greek salad is huge. The potato skins are so yummy and huge you can’t finish them if you’re by yourself! It’s a townie bar where you walk in and know at least 4 or 5 people. Lots of TV’s, keno and a few high tops around the bar. They have a jukebox and live music on the weekends(but not in the summer) trivia night is Wednesday(?) and Thursday is Karaōke. Mike, one of the owners is one of the most super nicest guys you could ever meet. They have a few beers on tap(not a ton) and there is usually about a 40 minute wait for a pizza. One trick i use is to call and order one to go and when i get there to pick it up i eat it at the bar while having a few beers. I would recommend this place to anyone!!! Especially the pizza! You haven’t had pizza till you’ve had Buddy’s!!!

This place has good food at good prices. people seem nice, and the service is good. Enough choices on the menu to please everyone. They have a good amount of tvs as well. I have gone back a few times even though it is a little ride for me. i recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a pub type atmosphere with good food, good prices, and a good mix of people. kids are very welcome too.

I moved to Easton a few years ago and Buddy’s is our go-to for takeout pizza. Lots of hype about Town Spa, but I like buddy’s better and they are consistently delicious. For dine-in experience, it’s Ok if you like the townie type watering hole feel. What the restaurant lacks in appearance it makes up in flavor.

I live nearby and keep going back month after month. Sometimes the service is really lousy; sometimes the juke box music is way too loud; sometimes(as noted below) the wrong sporting events are on the big screen TVs, but the food is consistently good, the drinks are cold, and the prices are reasonable. Every time I am there I mention to my wife that they could use another waitress on duty. Avoid it if you are in any hurry. The place can use a couple of coats of paint and a cosmetic makeover, but that’s just me.

This is a great spot to stop in for a burger or a pizza on a night when you just don’t feel like making a production out of dinner. You seat yourself, which can be a little overwhelming the first few times, but all in all, a good experience. And… the food is descent for pub food.

This is Bar Pizza as good as it gets. If you are not familiar with Bar Pizza, it is 10 inch round, greasy and delicious. Once you try it, you will not want any other kind. They have lots of varieties, but you will always find your way back to the cheese. Enjoy.

I would like to give a HELLYEAH for Buddy’s Union Villa! I had my first legal beer at this place and after about a million years in business, The Villa is still going strong! This is absolutely a townie dive bar but it’s by far the best dive bar on the planet! Cheap brews and the best bar food you’ll find anywhere. I’ve lived in many different cities with many different varieties of pizza and I can honestly say that the pizza at The Villa is top notch and better than any I’ve tried(ok, Town Spa in Canton is close). They even make a cool«ceasar salad pizza» if you’re feeling ambitious and into trying something new. After some pizza and brews you can play some old school video games, blast some Tom Petty tunes on the jukebox and get rowdy! Weekends here are fun of course but Tuesday night karaōke is a scene not to be missed. Groups of college kids coupled with a bunch of old townies singing Thriller and Sweet Child ‘O Mine. Amazing!
