This is probably the worst buffet that we have ever been to. We walked in and immediately got hit in the face with a strong fish smell. Without knowing any better we got a table and went to get the food. Nothing looked appealing so I got lo mein, chicken and broccoli, and chicken fingers. Both my girlfriend and I took one bite of our food, looked up in disgust, called for the check, paid and walked out. I have to say I’ve never done that before but there was no other option. Stay far, far away!

Worst Chinese buffet ever. Just paid $ 14.24 for dinner and I only could eat steamed rice. I’ve been many Chinese buffet but never had this bad. Food was salty and meats were chewy. Absolutely not worth second visit.

Food was decent. Lacked flavor. Was surprised I wasn’t able to find many of the foods I would expect at a Chinese Buffet.

*belated review* My friends and I dropped by PGB some months ago when we were in the area. Without a doubt, this is *the best* Chinese buffet I’ve been to in Mass. There was a wide selection of both Asian and American food to choose from. Everything was served fresh and hot. The food was mouthwateringly delicious. I loved all the beef entrees, which were so tender and flavorful. Meanwhile, the crab rangoons won Group Fave Appetizer — so effin’ good and better than Boston Chinatown. Seriously, I would choose that for my cheat meal… don’t judge me. Finally, the space was super clean, which is a rarity for Asian restaurants, lol. Overall, my friends and I had a very enjoyable buffet experience. To top it off, the family that owns PGB is so sweet and kind — how can you not come back and visit? I did not get a chance to try the Mongolian Bar, but will definitely try it next time!

A dead average buffet. There was nothing that was downright bad or that stood out enough that I wanted to go back for more. The décor was fine and the staff was pleasant. But given the average food, the price should be a dollar or two lower.

Too many items, too little quality. 2.7 Stars. I must have tried over 30 items, including two soups. Not one of them was worth going back for more. However, only one item was super bad. This place is inexpensive, but not a good deal.

I really enjoyed my meal here. The buffet isn’t as big as other buffets I have seen, but they definitely have something for EVERYONE. Heck, they even have decent pizza! I had read in one of my friend’s reviews that she didn’t care for the lo mien, but I really liked it the day I was there. I went during the Christmas season, and you would figure it would be really crowded, but I didn’t have that experience. I really didn’t love the wait service, but the restaurant was clean and the food was decent to good! I will definitely be back in the future.

The owners are very friendly, and the Mongolian bar is great. The price is good, and the food is OK. Just stay away from the waiters. They are rude and nasty as hell. They can even confront the customers! How nice?! oh well, maybe… not ‘white’ enough for them to serve though. Anyway, went there 4 times before, and had always enjoyed it, but today is the last. Never ever again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore. unless you seek for something cheap to eat.

Great veg-friendly option. On the Mongolian bar, you can choose peapods, scallions, bean sprouts, broccoli, celery, tofu and more. The chef then str fries everything with your choice of sauces.(No separate grill if that’s important to you.). The main bar had veggie sushi, veg lo mein, salad, fruit and more. Not sure if the lo mein was vegan and/or had any«hidden» non-veg ingredients, but I subscribe to the«visibly vegan approach.» Prices range from lunch to dinner and weekday to weekend. Our weekday lunch was a great deal and delicious.

The absolute worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever eaten at! RUN! RUNFARAWAY! So after I went to Chuck E. Cheese with my friends daughter… we decided we were going to find a place to eat. We had our hearts set on Chinese… and look what was right down the street! …I should have known better! As you approach this China buffet in a sketchy little strip mall with all the blinds closed, it’s a bit unsettling that they are all disheveled. I was afraid they were being robbed or that someone had been murdered inside! After we poked our heads in and saw there were other people dining, against our better judgment — we went inside. There were 2 waitresses tending to our table — a bit much for a self-service buffet, but okay; they were friendly enough. The food was awful. *starts choking and grabs throat* The chicken fingers had been left on the heat for at least 6 hours too long… dry, dry, DRY! The mashed potatoes were liquified white goo. The friend rice tasted like it had been fried in cinnamon and death sauce. The mozzarella sticks were congealed and sour. Shrimp? Yeah, I’m sorry my fellow Unilocalers — I’ll do anything for you — but taste that shrimp, I won’t do that! The 4 year old thought the pizza was okay. It was rock solid. The soda would have been better if they had purchased one of those«make-your-own-soda-add-carbonation» machines. It was so not good! Yuck! …To add icing to the cake — which by the way — DONOTEATTHECAKE! Marie Antoinette wouldn’t even feed this cake to the poor! I digress, the Unilocal app provided me with a 10% off coupon, which they hassled me about accepting. How rude. Kudos to the woman at the next table with a small animal in her bra… somehow this woman smuggled a small furry creature into the restaurant and was sneaking it pieces of carrot and broccoli. Brave… very brave.

Lunch at 2pm. I stick to the Chinese and tend to ignore the American and fried offerings. All was ok… not quite the flavor I remember from last time here which was quite good. All in all better than other local buffets and worth the $ 7.95 for lunch.

My first time trying Peking Garden, and I would say that the food wasn’t so great. It was cold and looked old. I wouldn’t go back again.

I go here quite often and am a fan of the food, although it’s basically the quality you’d expect from any Chinese place. My favorite things here are the crab legs, the dumplings, the lo mein and the crab rangoon. Also, sometimes they have these really awesome cucumbers that are marinated in some interesting stuff. The peach slices are good too. The desserts are kind of weird. Overall, a really good place if you want decent all-you-can-eat Chinese.

In terms of chinese buffets, yeah they get five stars, starting with the Mongolian station where you can get your cook stir fried in front of you. Moving on to the buffet, you might be happy with a few American classics like mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets, French fries, mashed potatoes an things of the nature — all surprisingly really tasty. Moving on to the Asian fare, they make the most delicious, crispy stir-fried green beans, sweet & sour chicken, and BBQ spareribs. I sampled almost everything, minus the seafood and the only thing I didn’t like was the lo mein.

Peking Garden is one of the best Chinese buffets in the area. This is where I go to get my eat on! The food is always hot and fresh, and they keep it coming. The atmosphere is clean,(which is hard to find amongst Chinese buffets) and the staff is pleasant. They have your basic Chinese food selections, plus seafood such as mussels and crab legs during dinner. Desert is a little weak, offering ice cream, fruit, and previously frozen mini pastries, but that’s to be expected. Overall a great buffet, I definitely recommend stopping in. Just be prepared to smell like Chinese food after leaving ;)

I wouldn’t go as far to say this place is amazing, but I definitely wouldn’t say that this place sucks. The atmosphere is a bit better than the New York China Buffet on Ashley Boulevard in New Bedford, having dimmed lights, actual Chinese music playing, and nice art on the walls. On the other hand, Peking Garden doesn’t have a big selection of food. Just the basic Chinese buffet fare. The food doesn’t taste half bad, just don’t get the soda which makes you eat less. The prices are about all-you-can-eat for roughly ten bucks a head. This place is cleanly, and moderately worth your cash. A lot better than most Chinese buffets.

A cool place for kraken A good place to get filled and probably over filled when going through Darmouth. It’s clean and roomy and the food just keeps coming out. Lots of fruits and veggies and the typical buffet type of fare. The one exception thing was that Peking Garden has some nice seafood that usually isn’t found at this type of buffet. including sushi, mussels and these little octopus or squid like things. Small but spicy as hell. They have ice cream but not as many desserts as other buffets and after all the other food it seems a moot point. You’re still guaranteed to consume enough calories for the rest of the day or perhaps even the week.
