Had both a massage and facial, early this month, while on vacation. My massage was good but my facial was a HUGE disappointment! I paid for a one hour facial and it seemed my facialist ran out of ideas about ½ way though. She began by telling me she didn’t do steam… a bit odd… But OK. She used 4, or less, products in the hour… Far far less than usual. There was a scrub and soap… Then a hydrating lotion. Folks, she rubbed and rubbed and rubbed it in for like 20+ mins w/o stopping and she manipulated my face so much that my jaw line was sore when I left. I likely left with more wrinkles than when I arrived. And, I paid for this? As checked out they would not let me tip via my charge card with the rest of the bill. I was so out of it… Crap I realized I over cash tipped her… I am very annoyed. Go for a massage… SKIP the facials. I had bruises for heaven sake.

I’m happy to report that I had another facial at the spa and it was wonderful! Amy did a great job and was very attentive to everything I wanted. I’d like to add that the owner contacted me b/c of my previous review and offered me a facial, on the house. That is great customer service.

I visited MedAesthetic Salon and Day Spa this past Sunday and had the most wonderful experience. First of all, the fact that they are open on Sundays is both extremely convenient and rare. I only found one other spa in the area that is open on Sundays, but the products they use are quiet inferior to MedAesthetics. Now onto the products… I received the Eminence Organic Signature Facial. This included a full 70 minute facial using Eminence Organic products as well as a hand and foot massage/moisturizing treatment with heated mitts and booties. I did some research on Eminence and this stuff is truly high-quality. So much so that it is the core line of skin care used at Ritz-Carlton Spas in North America. My whole facial both felt and smelled amazing. The mask smelled so good, I was actually considering taking a small taste while my aestitician(Corinne) was massaging my hands. Corinne was wonderful. I’ve had facials elsewhere and her technique was fabulous. The spa itself takes up an entire two-story house that is beautifully decorated and has completely relaxing atmosphere. From the lobby, I could see a few hair-dressing stations on the first floor. My facial was performed in a private room on the second floor. The entire spa, especially the room I had my facial in, was impeccably clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and did not pressure me to purchase any products(which I appreciated). My facial cost $ 80 and was worth every penny. I left there refreshed and my skin looked amazing. I already booked my next appointment. I give my overall experience 5 stars and highly recommend MedAesthetic.
