Our family eats here often(it is very close to our vacation home). The place is very accommodating for families with children and the food and service is well above others in the area.

The place is clean, staff is friendly, and the price is right. Had the Guinness Onion Soup, pork Oso Buco(more like a braised pork shank), steamed clams, and pork cigars(first time I’ve seen that). No wifi or cell service for Verizon customers and décor is lacking personality but would recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Basil & Wicks has been a mainstay in our family for a delicious and cozy meal whenever we’re in North Creek. It’s perfect for families or a low key bar scene, but gets pretty loud when it’s crowded. I’ve eaten there numerous times over the years, and can’t remember having a bad meal. My favorite, in particular, is their all you can eat pasta bar on Thursday nights(not sure if they’re still running this so you may want to check). The chef comes into the dining room with a huge array of pastas, sauces, vegetables, meats, and seafood, and cooks your plate to order right in front of you. Really delicious and really fresh; the chicken sausage I had in one of my pastas was the best I’ve ever had. On a recent night, we tried the veal chop, tomato pesto soup, Greek salad, lobster Mac n cheese, and asian lettuce wraps. I would probably skip the last(it was a weird combination of rice noodles on lettuce leaves with chicken and carrots in a sweet and spicy/sweet chili sauce) but everything else was great. The staff is always really nice and great at handling large groups, so feel free to bring your whole skiing squad for dinner.

Awesome meal on a fall motorcycle ride 10÷11÷15. Starters that hit the spot — yummy, cheesy, Beer onion soup $ 7 and artisan bread basket for 3.50– best deal around with hearty, crusty Asiago bread and crusty, warm French baguette. That alone would have been worth the stop– but my flavorful, perfectly prepared skirt steak and Companion’s huge, homemade chicken Parmesan made this meal a home run! The lodge-esque ambiance and clean, well-maintained bathrooms(hey– it matters to ME!) only amped up our satisfaction… YES– we will be back!

First time here. Reuben sandwich was excellent! My friend had the fresh salmon and it was very good. Friendly staff and attentive service. Will definitely be back.

Our party of 4 waited 20 minutes after being seated for waitstaff to take a drink order. After the food order was taken, we waited 40 minutes, then had to ask about the status of appetizers. Soups were not hot, and one was the wrong soup. Food finally arrived almost 90 minutes after ordering. Ahi tuna and eggplant dish were good, chicken parm was mediocre, pulled pork was sub-par. Waitress was unfriendly and not helpful. Dining room was very loud, but bar area looked like a better experience. Food overpriced, nothing special here. We will not return.

A charming little spot in the Adirondacks with a solid menu. Great for a leisurely dinner on their beautiful porch or a quick meal for the road. I thought the Reuben was delicious, better than you can find at most NYC delis. Also loved my eggplant concoction stuffed with ricotta. To be expected but. the staff was nice as all get out!

So glad to find a new place in the Adirondacks. Service was pleasant and they honored Unilocal’s 10% discount, though I think I was the first person to ever use it! The food was all good– most creative was the barbecued duck wings– really excellent! And the bread pudding with raisin rum sauce was our best dessert. Wish I could give it 3& ½ stars.

My ribs were TERRIBLE. Two bites in and I sent them back. They tasted burnt and rubbery, not a fan at all. I returned it for a kid’s bowl of macaroni and cheese, so bland it was like eating lightly cheese dusted noodle mush. The band performing inside was incredibly loud, our table having to scream over the music is to hear each other. Not a good experience, definitely will not be going back…

A little expensive, but they have a gluten free menu and buns for all the burgers, so it’s great if you have allergies and don’t want to worry. The décor was beautiful and there was local artwork on the walls for sale. I’d go back.

We ventured here after a day on the slopes. We sat at the high top table in the bar near the fireplace it was nice & warm. Our service was fine, not bad or great. The bartender took care of our table. We each had a bottled beer. We started with the nachos, anticipating on ordering burgers. The nachos were filling for two! The chili was awesome on the nachos, everything was great except for the olives. We don’t like olives! We decided we weren’t that hungry for burgers after filling up on the nachos, so we ordered the boneless chicken wings– sweet Thai chili. We should have gotten the pulled pork cigars, we debated those or the wings. The wings were glorified chicken nuggets. The bill came $ 28.90 for three beers & two apps. Not bad if you ask me.

We always stop here for beer and dinner after kayaking the Hudson River, the staff is always friendly and the beer always cold. I recommend trying the Lobster Mac and Cheese, its definitely a favorite. Another favorite are the burgers, they do a great job and use real Blue Cheese. I am not a fan of their new Panini, they aren’t using Panini bread, it wasn’t fully toasted, so it had a doughy texture, So a big NO to the Panini Sandwich, Two thumbs up for the Burgers as well as the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The Redhead bar tender did a superb job.

Worst burger I have ever had. A crack head at McDonald’s can make a better tasting non-burnt-to-a-pice-of-carbon burger than this restaurant.
