I have dined here several times and I can give them a 5 star for the consistency in quality of food and service that they have maintained. In my opinion, the closest to the authentic telugu food one can get in central jersey. Particularly enjoy their lavish spread during the weekend buffet. Would highly recommend this place to get the taste of quality south indian food. The appetizers here are just amazing! Love the biryani as well. A perfect gastronomic experience for a decent price.

One of the best places for Indian food, with tasty biryanis, starters and grand buffets. what we love especially about this place is the atmosphere ambiance seating and most importantly owners are the best and you feel like going again and again. Vivek and Raji.

Went here for a lunch buffet and enjoyed the food. They have a lot of vegetarian options. Everyone’s favorite was the manchurian gobi, which had an amazing flavor and texture. I also liked the mango kulfi for dessert — it was very mangoey and fresh tasting. The galub jamun were also a hit. There was also a dish, which I don’t remember the name of, that was like… yellow noodles? That was really good. I wasn’t a big fan of the paneer, which tasted undercooked and thin and watery. The rest of the food was just kind of average. Service was good, food was decent and cheap. We had a nice lunch. Will definitely return.

Being a «South Indian non veg foodie«- Have been coming to this place from a while. As part of the MEGABUFFET, Today tasted one of the best biryanis«Ambur Chicken Biryani»! — simply fabulous, full of flavor. Goat Sukka was as usual simply outstanding. Chicken fry, Kabab, fishy fry as appetizers were tasty. Apart from this there were many types of biryani’s, non veg curries — crab, Country chicken curry, egg curry were awesome. Our favorite desert today was badam halwa.

The chicken biryani is the best I’ve ever had at a restuarant!!! The service is friendly and prompt and it’s a nice place to sit in and eat at. Family friendly. Big group friendly. Aside from the biryani, the naan is also really amazing. I would definitely recommend this place!

The chicken tandoori and chicken tikka masala was deeeeelicious. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially with the spiciness levels. Not sure why the reviews are not as we’d expect, but perhaps it’s for the lunch buffet.

Tastiest Indian restaurant in NJ! Hands down. Although I only gave 4 stars due to high prices.

I went to this place three times so far. Two times for lunch buffet and once for dinner. Some items are ok, like naan. Biryani is very bad. They don’t refill items during the lunch buffet. Most of all they charge 35% gratuity even for lunch buffet for the very bad service. I do not recommend this place to any one.

I have been to this place twice for buffet. Food was awesome. There are lot many items no one can eat all but we can choose our loved items. I am a fan of mango lassi and that was awesome. The owners were too good that they are talking nicely. So many sweets which is the most attracted place to me as a sweet lover. The only bad thing is little bit lack of service and I wont think that is a problem because as weekends are very busy and it is not possible for servers to take care each and every thing. Over I can highly recommend this to anyone.

Probably my first review on Unilocal.I wasn’t sure about this restaurant when I visited. I had been to the one in Edison and found it good(would say 4⁄5). This one is indeed 5 out of 5. Excellent spread and great taste. I am very particular about food and being a typical North Indian Punjabi I am not an easy person to please when it comes to food. You won’t regret this place. Disclaimer — I had the Buffett on a Sunday. Will surely come back again.

Horrible… I normally go to the other mirchi at oak tree road. This place is giving the oak tree road mirchi a bad name. Food sucked. Too oily. Tasted bad. I don’t think the food here comes from the same place or has same cooks. Never coming back.

I like this place for their biriyani’s but they are terrible with customer service. My husband and i ordered 1 lamb biriyani and 1 chicken 65. When we picked it after a 10 min wait and come home to our disappointment it was not what we ordered. The guy had given us chicken 65 biriyani. When we called them there was no apology or refund but instead they said we can come up and pick up a lamb biriyani by returning the opened chicken 65 biriyani. With my cravings i decided to trek back to this place and return the chicken 65 biriyani and get my original order. When we went back In terms of customer service no credit was issued or as a good will nothing was offered for the inconvenience. Best of all he took the biriyani that i opened and served it back to another paying customer in front of us. Makes me wonder the hygiene of this place. Person who helped us name is vishal. My note to the owner, Anita– this was not my first experience with bad customer service. You have a good product but customer satisfaction is the key to success.

Customer service was not good. Don’t waste ur money.

Had a dosa, lamb biryani, and chicken tikka masala. All three things were cooked very well. I’ve never been to India before but I imagine it tastes similar. Definitely not a very«americanized» taste

Been here for lunch buffet and they have good variety of items. I didn’t like the veg biryani here. On Sunday this place offers 40+ varieties for lunch buffet(18 $).

The food and service are just excellent. No need to continue searching, Mirchi’s the place you should go for lunch /dinner, even if it’s a bit out of your way. In fact, we asked them to cater our wedding, and the reviews and compliments my wife and I received are just astounding. 90% of our guests were from India and the menu was North Indian(including the chaat bar). The menu and selection were excellent. They’re open until 9p or so each evening(which will soon be corrected on Unilocal).

I tried their lunch buffet today. Sadly, I was in a rush and did not get to try the many veggie options – which looked very good and a blended both northern and southern dishes. Butter chicken, fresh nan, chicken biryani(although I prefer boneless) were all excellent. Tandoori chicken and chinese style dragon chicken very good. Goat curry was ok – I simply do not find goat very flavorful. $ 8.99 price excellent! Space is unadorned, but bathroom was ok. The host was very nice – he saw me looking at the menu on the door; gave me a tour of the buffet; and was so pleasant I did not bother to look at Shalimar next door. If I lived closer, I would be a regular.
