Gillette Restaurant Equipment

Wish I could leave no stars — these people are scammers and thieves.
Just take Tess F.‘s review and replace «plate» with any piece of equipment they will sell you… they will screw up, promise you they will fix it, and after you keep calling to remind them, they will just screw you in the end.
The most egregious was a $ 1600 refrigerated display case that they put a ridiculously undersized compressor in. I lost $ 100’s of $ of product because it kept failing. After my refrigeration guy called them and basically told them he could not understand why anyone would put such a small unit in when it clearly said what size was needed, Ann Gillette personally agreed to pay for the correct size compressor and labor to put it in.
They took back the wrong compressor and never paid for the new one — and did not refund a penny to me! The last time I called they had the nerve to yell at me that I held up their driver when he came to pick up (steal) the compressor.
I threatened to take them to court, but in the end it was not worth my time.
I am not a small customer, I bought thousands of dollars in equipment from them. Never again. They have no ethics.

Very helpful, reasonable and friendly service. We’ve been going for 10 years and never had an issue with what the previous review expressed. The owners demonstrated patience while we were not certain of many of our early purchase. They were flexible with the payment as we are just getting a Café off the ground. Thank you for all your time!

This place sold me used kitchen equipment that they assured me was in great working condition. I have put more than a thousand dollars into more than one piece of equipment purchased from them with in the first year. I called them multiple times to come fix the items, and they would come check it out, not know how to fix it and then charge me for showing up. I put trust into this place to get good working equiptment to start my new buisness and they completely misguided, took advantage, and ripped me off.
