Golden Jade

Just as a side note…2 years ago they were closed for quite some time and eventually reopened. I talked to the owner and she said that every two years they go back to China for 3 months to visit. I’m hoping this is the case this time since it’s the only place in Billerica I like to go to for Chinese food!

As another reviewer said, the phone line has been disconnected for some time now. I felt like a stalker ex-​girlfriend because I just keep calling and calling and hope that they will pick up. I am so sad this place closed. Although, I’m assuming it closed. I drive by it regularly and go to other places in the strip mall and I haven’t seen any signs or anything in the windows. It’s just been dark. This place had the best food. I’ve tried other places in town and they have honestly all been awful. I’m surprised how hard it is to find good Chinese food around here. I’ve been so turned off by the other restaurants I haven’t even wanted Chinese recently and that is unacceptable. Please come back Golden Jade!

Number has been out of service for weeks, which is too bad this place was great.
Everything tasted freshly made and they were very good about modifications to dishes.

I usually go to this place for Hot and Sour Soup during lunch time. I have tried a couple of other lunch menus. They are not the worst, but they are not best Chinese food I tried. Once in a while, they do not open for no reason.
When it comes to Hot and Sour Soup, it is the best I have ever tasted. Others are not bad, but not that great. I would recommend other to at least try once.

I stopped at Golden Jade for lunch takeout recently. It took a while for the lady to appear at the counter in the small dining area to take my order since she was in the kitchen (behind closed door) getting ready another order.
I ordered the L2 Shrimp Lo Mein ($ 5.95 plus tax) with pork fried rice and wonton soup. The food was ready to go in about 10 minutes after ordering. The portion size was good. The pork fried rice was freshly made which had a firm texture with a mix of roast pork, sauteed onions and sprouts. The lo mein was not greasy and had a mix of soft noodles with tender shrimp (cleaned), cabbage, scallions, carrots, and sprouts. The pint of wonton soup had two soft pork wontons (double folded) with a mix of snow peas, cabbage, carrots, tender roast pork strips in a light chicken broth. This wonton soup is pretty similar to Golden Crown II (3 wontons and a mix of vegetables in their soup, but no pork strips).
I enjoyed my takeout lunch and I would probably try out the Pad Thai noodles on my next visit to Golden Jade.

Fresh ingredients, very good food. I was looking at the menu confused which one to order, but the lady at the counter helped me with the order.

I’ve been here a number of times always found the food to be the best in Billerica, staff is great along with prices ad quantity. Have never been given any greasy food, if they were larger and had a bar no doubt they’d give a couple others in town a run for their money

Fresh ingredients, high quality food, never greasy or over salted. Very nice staff. Great prices. Thai, Chinese and a variety of steamed dishes for dieters. My favorite is the Green Curry Chicken, the sauce is wonderful and they even offer Brown Rice not the fried kind but the actual whole grain!
We order from the Golden Jade a few times a month and have had them deliver for nights when we have friends over too. We love them!
*** We saw a couple of reviews that were unfavorable perhaps the reviewer was confusing this little place in North Billerica with the Jade Pacific which is closer to Burlington

The food was decidedly OK, nothing to write home about but nothing complaint-​worthy, either. The service, however, was excellent. Both women working the tiny front room were amazingly friendly and fawning over my son. They were shocked to hear he’d never tried crab Rangoon and they comped him three pieces and a bottle of water.
I wish the food had been as good as the service because I want to go back in account of how nice they were!

I used to love Joy Luck but with the new merge the chef seems to have changed. The food I’d unbearably greasy. I ordered the egg foo young and besides being burnt it was drippy with grease. The pork lo mien was horrible. The crab Rangoon was soggy and the filling was tasteless. The boneless ribs, chicken teriyaki and general Gau’s were ok.
I’m very disappointed.

Easily the best and more importantly, the most consistent Chinese food around. We have lived in the area for 13 years and have tried all the other restaurants with mixed results. Golden Jade has been the only place we order from since we found it. We host a large Christmas day party every year and everyone raved about the food this year. Each dish was fresh, well prepared, and abundant.
Every order we have ever placed has been accurate and delicious! Occasionally there has even been a little extra sample of something new for us to try. Golden Jade is one of those places where you can just tell they care about the quality of their food. As an extra bonus, the people who work there are extremely nice and friendly.

Some of the best asian food in the Lowell area. It’s a family run business and they cook everything fresh to order so it takes a little longer. The hot and sour soup is outstanding as is their chicken wings and beef teriyaki. All the dishes I’ve ordered have been very good. The beef and mushroom and shrimp with lobster sauce are my favorites. They have good lunch and dinner specials too.

I’ve been looking for good Chinese food for a while. This place was worth the 10 minute drive. I ordered the boneless spare ribs, chicken fried rice, and vegetarian spring roll. I haven’t found a lot of places that have vegetarian spring rolls so this was a huge plus for me. The food was good and the staff were friendly. This is my new go-​to for Chinese food.

Pretty good food and very nice people. We tried this take out place the other night because our other go-​to place, Joy Luck Bistro, had closed. When I was there, I discovered that they had merged with Joy Luck. Essentially the menu and flavors are the same.
My only complaint is that the recipe for crab rangoon has changed. This new version at Golden Jade doesn’t taste that good. We will go back again. Overall the quality and portion of the food is very good, and the people were really nice.
