Great staff, everyone is extremely knowledgeable! Great prices on bikes and accessories. I’m always in there buying something.

I have been going to P&S since the mid 2000’s dealing with Mike & his son Ashton(and really their whole family). This is a bike shop where the people who run it LOVE bikes. It’s far more than just a business, it’s a way of life. Their service is top notch. Ashton, who is the owners son, also builds his own bikes from scratch(metal and heat), so you know he knows what he’s doing. They are super friendly, patient, and always have time for you. They will work within your budget, and I have seen them help out a stranded or broken(or broke) cyclist on more than one occasion. They are the epitome of a mom and pop shop, but they care about what they do and their customers. I cannot recommend this bike shop or the people who run it highly enough.

Not only was this the best experience I’ve had at a bike shop, it is one of the best experiences I’ve had at any shop. My salesperson was Pete and he was incredibly helpful. I went in not being completely sure what I wanted, but he took the time to listen to my riding style and the sort of rides I do and helped me find the perfect bike. He was even able to order me a bike that other shops didn’t have available. The bike came in on time and I was very happy with the price. They also did a great job getting the bike set up and adding all the extras I wanted. I will be going here from now on for any cycling needs, that is for sure. Took at it for my first ride the day after I bought it and it was definitely the right bike for me.

I just had another fantastic experience with P&S. Dropped off my road bike because my rear brakes were sticking bad, I had completely taken them apart and cleaned them up but no luck. Without hesitation I rolled it into P&S. When I picked the bike up, it looked the same but of course the brakes were tight and felt great. $ 35 bucks for a brake adjustment, sounded great to me, beats the hell out of three hours of me beating on it in the garage. It was not until I actually road the bike a few days later that the enormity of what they had done became apparent. I swear to god they completely tuned my bike. So yeah the brakes felt great, but then as I was shifting I noticed my 91′ Giant’s signature chain rub in the highest and lowest gears was GONE. The rub that I had spent so many hours trying to adjust away was no more and my lack of sound as I zipped down the bike path silently for the first time in years just put a huge smile on my face. They tightened everything down, the bike has never felt this solid. Does this mean that everyone will have this experience, maybe not, but at the same time this is the type of shop that strikes me as one that always goes the extra mile for you and your ride.

Great place. I’ve come here a few times for bike repairs and they’re super friendly and helpful. This is the only place I’ll go to get bike repairs. There are other bike shops closer to me but these guys are the best. Never had a bad experience.

This has become my new bike shop. The people here are nice and knowledgeable. I went here for Specialized shoes and they gave me lower than MSRP for last years model(I favoured the colours better than the 2013 model… yes I am a woman… it does matter). They openly told me they are working on their women’s cyclists equipment in shop since they only really carried a few items. The shoes that I want were on the higher end of the woman’s shoes they carry. I appreciate their honesty about learning more and focusing more on the female cyclists(I wish more places were like this)…but they can order you what you want. I am excited to see what the future holds in that department. Once again a good store, nice people who know what they are talking about. And the cutest little dog in the world… that is oh so friendly.

I brought my mountain bike for repair in on a Saturday(busy) unannounced, expecting to drop it off. They asked me to bring the bike in. They put my bike on the rack almost immediately. No ego’s just friendly. One of the mechanics took it for a test ride. He couldn’t find the problem I was having(freewheel/hub not catching) but said if it happened again just bring it back. Guess how much they charged me for 20 minutes of their time? Zero! I walked out of there spending $ 20 on hamburger shaped bells that my kids fell in love with while waiting for my bike. They are friendly, knowledgable and care about the customer. They will get my business in the future.

My girlfriend and I were riding our bikes in the area & she got a flat. We took her bike over there & they stopped what they were doing & had it fixed in no time. Awesome service.

Pedal and Spoke is the best bike shop in the Fox Valley area. They will work with you to help you choose the bike that fits your needs and riding style. All of the people in the shop are avid riders and also able to fix the bikes. They sponsor numerous group rides during the year too. They carry every type of bike and will fit you to your bike. When I bought my bike a year ago, I was looking for a 7-speed bike that I could use on park trails. Having ridden enough over the years, I knew I did not need more gears than that. My previous bike had been an 18-speed, and I rarely used more than 7 gears on that one anyway. I had found that as I was getting older, the 18-speed bike just was not comfortable for me to ride for long periods any more. I had checked out a couple of other shops that carried the Schwinn brand since I had ridden a Schwinn I liked while on vacation.(Pedal and Spoke does not carry Schwinn.) The other bike shops kept trying to sell me an 18-speed bike from the floor since they did not carry the 7 speed bikes in the shop. Even when I said I was willing to order a bike and wait, they still tried to get me to buy a bike from the floor. They were more concerned with selling from their large inventories than they were with satisfying my needs. I told my husband I was willing to go with another brand and wanted to go to Pedal and Spoke instead. At Pedal and Spoke, I talked to one of the guys there and he agreed that what I wanted was enough for my needs. He showed me a Raleigh brand bike that they had on the floor, but not in the frame size I would need. My only concern was the gear shift mechanism. I prefer the thumb shifting method and the Raleigh had a handle shift.(I had found on previous rental bikes that I tend to accidentally shift gears when the shift is part of the handle.) He said they could switch that out for me. He was able to order a Raleigh Venture in the appropriate frame size for me and switched the shift in their repair shop. After riding that bike for the past year now, I love it more every day. Thanks to this new bike, I have lost weight, lowered my blood pressure, and gotten much more fit. It is comfortable enough for me to ride for long periods without my back hurting. Having it in for its free 1 year tune-up has been tough the past couple days since I haven’t been able to ride it! I look forward to picking it up this afternoon and riding it immediately!

I stopped here yesterday after buying a used bicycle in Batavia. The bike needed some tires and a couple of other things, the staff was very friendly and worked with me to pick out the right tires. I was kind of in a hurry, and they installed the tires very quickly for me. The staff all seemed to be true cycling enthusiasts, not just guys who work in a bike shop. If I lived close by this would be my «go to» bike shop.
