Sad to see they are closed. They used to have great trees. It is boarded and the trees look dead or dying

There isn’t a whole lot to do in the Leona Valley. We made a try out there to go wine tasting, that review is coming so hold tight for that one. We decided to get a little more out of the little that the Leona Valley has to offer so we pick this little cherry ranch out of the many that are around. Honestly it was right one the road and that was good enough for us. We saddled up and grabbed a bucket. The girl at the front welcomed us and showed us around a bit, told us what was where and said, «go forward and pick and taste the trees». We found out that meant try a cherry from the tree to see if they were good, dang city folk are so simple sometimes. A man I can only assume was Big john, although he wasn’t all that big, I would even have called him large so i can only assume how he got the name Big John gave us some advice and directed us to some of the sweet trees. We had a lot of fun and I think it was around $ 3.00 a pound for some fresh off the tree cherries. They also sold honey and lavender.
