I used to go there all the time to grab a cup of coffee and do some work in a peaceful environment but lately everytime I’ve gone there the internet is always down so I stopped going.

Staff friendly and helpful. Pricing good. Selection at this location a bit limited. Ten to fifteen teen-agers hanging out at the front of the store cursing and talking loudly … well, that is just downright annoying —

This Borders ended up getting rid of the CDs. I used to go there to buy CDs so I could download them on to my I-POD nano. They used to have some pretty good music. I was very disappointed when I saw the entire CD section was empty. Maybe technology(obviously) is putting them out of business. I think it is an average Borders. I like the other Borders in the suburbs much, much better. The Borders on Michigan Avenue closed down. Which one will be next on the hit list?

Yeah — um the Peppermint Mocha Trio at the Seattle’s Best inside this Borders is heavenly. I have went there twice when I had no need to be in that area just for this drink. Since my car is in the shop right now, I am actually considering taking the Montrose Bus down there today because I want one sooo bad right now. Oh my gosh — I think I may have to go. Then I may have to walk over to the HIP to get a Peppermint Mocha Blast thingy from Gloria Jeans — my second favorite drink over there.

I really like this Borders. They make it so easy to come in and browse the books and magazines and have a seat and enjoy some coffee. They have tons of music to listen to(although I would never buy Music or Movies from Borders because half the time the non-sale stuff is wayyyyy overpriced). They have a pretty large sale section most of the time and even if you don’t buy anything you can spend an hour in here just looking around.

My fiancé and I go here pretty much every week to sit back, relax — grab a drink and just talk and read magazines. Excellent place to just hang out! :)

I will forever hold this Border’s near and dear to my heart. Why? Because it is one of the first«real» bookstores to open on the Northwest Side. Yes, the Northwest Side had mall bookstores and used to have Crown’s, but never a Border’s type bookstore. See, the Northwest Side is not like the«trendy» areas of the city. There is not a variety of used or new bookstores in the area. That is why people MUST shop here. I already lament the day this one closes. Warning — this is one of the smaller locations. Decent selection, nice café, but it is a smaller Border’s.

Overall, very nice. This location is one of the **smaller** Borders stores. Selection can be limited here. The employees are nice, which is very much appreciated. If you want a larger book store, I would recommend visiting the Boarders in Schaumburg, or the one near Water Tower downtown.

This Borders is a great place to hang out. The employees are some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met. Late 2006 they remodeled the café part of the store making it a great updated edition to the store. I usually read the graphic arts books and the help I get when asking the employees for suggestions are great.

I’m not a fan of big book stores and try my best to stay away from chains, but I was pleasantly surprised with this store. I came in here in mid December looking for a few books for a Christmakah present and I did just that! I love that this place had chairs for me to sit in, as well as a HUGE bargain section that was organized. I found so many books that I knew my man would want and for myself. I ended up spending close to $ 150 here and walked away with tons. The books were priced at the same prices or lower than what I have seen them for at other places and really liked that I could buy art books that are not readily available at most stores.

This Borders just east of Harlem Irving Plaza is a good place to hang out while you are waiting for dinner time to roll around in the area. Check out the travel books and magazines.
