Royal Pipes & Cohiba Lounge

I was in Norman visiting family for Thanksgiving. My wife needed to run some errands and do some shopping, so I searched Unilocal for cigar bars in the area and her drop me off here to enjoy a smoke while she did her thing.
They have a nice humidor and tobacco shop attached to the bar with a good selection. I was able to quickly find one of my favorites, purchase it, and wander into the bar.
Patrons were very friendly. There’s a certain camaraderie amongst pipe and cigar smokers that even when you walk into a cigar bar for the very first time and sit down you always manage to find yourself engaged in the conversations and being treated like a regular. It’s like cigars and pipes are the ultimate ice breaker. You’d never get that sort of instant acceptance walking into any other sort of bar.
The place isn’t as polished as many pipe and cigar bars I’ve been in. Most tend to go toward a high-​end/​classy/​upscale look and these place was definitely keeping it more casual.
This will definitely be a regular stop when I am in Norman. Though, I still prefer Cigar Box in Broken Arrow, OK.

Great spot for a stick, excellent selection and nice lounge. Has a nice bar and plenty of whiskey selections I look forward to coming back. Friendly staff.

Terrible selection of cigars here. Mainly AF, Cohiba and Punch. Not much else. Their humidor also isn’t very well maintained. On multiple occasions my cigar was too moist.
Also, the staff is only friendly if you’re buying drinks, so forget about it if you just hang out and grab a cigar and soda. You won’t get the time of day from them.
Their live bands always play so loud that your eardrums come close to bleeding.

I visited the lounge while I was here. Nice and cozy local bar scene happening here. There was a live band setting up when I went and they had this Mumford and Sons thing going on (hell it could’ve been them, but I wouldn’t have known). Other patrons were ordering food. I only saw sandwiches, but don’t know if there were other options. I sat there, watched the NBA draft silently, and smoked a stogie. It’s the kind of place you can walk in and keep to yourself. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Norman, OK.

The best place to watch the Oklahoma Sooners and OKC Thunder play! Very laid back atmosphere and excellent staff make this a great place to hang out with friend and even meet new people. The cigar humidor is always well maintained and they have an excellent selection of cigars with a staff that is both knowledgeable and friendly to newibe cigar smokers.

An excellent selection of cigars, pipes and pipe tobacco. The cigar bar next door is great. It is a nice place to hang out before the game starts.

Love this place! It’s a very relaxed atmosphere with a great selection and an impressive humidor. Sometimes when women go into tobacco or pipe shops, you can get a cold shoulder, but all of the guys I talked to were helpful and never condescending. I think I even impressed them a little with my cigar of choice, Short Stories.
This is the place to go in Norman if you want some really great cigars, a knowledgeable staff and an old school vibe.
