Went to this location yesterday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy and the staff was on point. The only reason why I am rating them a 3 is because of their pastry case. I did not order a pastry because there were fruit flies flying around in the case. This is absolutely disgusting and has to be a food safety violation. I suggest to everyone ordering at this location to check the case prior to getting a pastry.

I was initially skeptical about a Starbucks as a kiosk. This one has alleviated my concerns for the most part. First of all, it’s in a prime area right in the flow of traffic for the mall. Despite the heavy traffic area, they keep the orders flowing with the typical Starbucks professionalism. I usually swing by on my way to the Barnes and Noble café area to do school work. I’d get more stuff at the café but they don’t accept Starbucks cards but that’s a whole different review. This Starbucks has only one real shortfall but it is understandable. They have limited refrigeration space so at the end of the day, they tend to run out of products in the display case. I can’t really hold it against them since just a little bit of common sense would lead a customer to understand the situation this shop is in. Unlike my usual post, I don’t have a lot to write. The staff is friendly and professional. The area around the kiosk is clean and I’ve never had a bad experience at this stop. They even get my name spelled correctly.

How convenient to place a Starbucks in the center of the mall… high traffic area here. But it’s your typical Starbucks, nothing fancy here. However, there is a seating area nearby and you can sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of MacArthur Mall. I visited here last Sunday. And from start to finish it took about 10 minutes. Not too bad, but when the drink is yummy it is worth the wait. The traffic(Starbucks line) definitely flowed well and I didn’t hear a peep out of anyone complaining. Make sure you register your Starbucks gift card to redeem points and special offers from time to time(freebies). I tell you it is definitely worth it even if you visit Starbucks at least twice a month. The gift cards are re-loadable as well. So do take advantage of this perk. Also on Mondays(right now), reward members can get a free pastry with a purchase of a beverage. And while I’m on the subject… that pound cake lemon loaf is super yummy. Now if you get the chance to heat it a little… it will melt in your mouth! :) I’d recommend this location especially for convenience. Shop, eat and drink… Have fun :)

Not in the food court but in the center atrium of MacArthur Center, they have the coffees you want and a decent amount of seating nearby to sit and enjoy.

They made my drink perfect and it was HOT. I like that. Food choices were well stocked and were good. Nice central location in the mall.

This Starbucks is a great addition to the first floor of MacArthur Center Mall. Open since May if offers almost a full service Starbucks experience. I say close because at least one thing that is NOT offered is «for here cups» I can get over that and hold my paper cup brew as I waltz around beautiful MacArthur. If you are in this mall you have two choices for Starbucks. This one and a location in Barnes and Nobles Books. Unless your just lazy do yourself the favor and go down one floor. This location has the«real» company store from the Seattle based coffee conglomerate… I love using my grown up words with spell check. Also you cannot use a SBC gift card at the book store. Not to mention selection of goodies is preferable on the first floor. Today’s visit was good, staff friendly(four employees) and area clean. It is a busy place, but turn around was quick on my order. A few feet from the store are very comfy leather seats and tables to relax in. My triple shot White Chocolate Mocha stirred with whip… thank you very much, was okay. So yes a little disappointed, but I consider this is your clear choice for coffee if in the mall.

The staff here is super friendly! I haven’t met one grumpy person there. This is the new Starbucks in the mall which opened up at the end of May. It’s placed near the elevators and fountains on the first floor. They get really busy in the morning around 8:00AM because it’s the only other Starbucks in downtown. Either wait for that rush to die down or get there right at 7:30!

The service here was good, especially for having only one person working this little stand in the middle of the food court. However, I was extremely shocked by the sticker price on my drink! I had ordered a small frappacino with soy milk and I was told it was going to be an additional $ 0.70 for soy milk. Seriously!!! Its not even that expensive in Chicago and we have the highest tax rate in the nation!!! It made me wish I was back home! My drink came to almost $ 6! Needless to say I drank my drink to the last drop!
