I don’t write reviews unless something really stands out. The food was good, but what really made me smile was how nice everyone was. I ordered for delivery and I didn’t know that wonton with egg drop isn’t on the menu but they mixed it for me, also made my kung pao extra spicy, and since the 2 litre I ordered was room temp they offered to give me ice in a separate container. If that wasn’t enough they called me back to ask me if I wanted a Coke because I ordered a Pepsi, lol. The food was good, but the customer service was so great I had to tell someone else.

So I didn’t even bother to ask or look for sushi. So if you’re reading this review hoping you’ll find out, move one. Otherwise, here is my take on Royal Garden. I never order Chinese food thinking, «I’m looking for a classy dinner tonight.» No. I order Chinese food thinking, «the kids are screaming, work was awful, I just want to pig out on some Chinese and I don’t want to have to leave to get it.» so if you’re the first type of person looking for a classy meal, move on. If you’ve lived in America for a week you know what«American Chinese» is. However, if you’re the second type then this place is fantastic. The flavor is full, the rice is steaming and the fortune cookies tell stories. I’m really picky when it comes to my kung pow chicken extra spicey extra peanuts. And let me tell you, this place nailed it. Perfect amount spice without being overly sauced or salty. Even the lo mein noodles were succulent. I’m definitely going to order from this place again. The delivery makes everything even better. For those extra lazy days, you can have delicious cheap Americanized Chinese food delivered right to your door.

Food is good! I like coming here although the drive is a little bit longer than Golden Chopsticks on Hampton Blvd. Solid lunch specials. I usually get the general tso, beef and broccoli or egg fu. I do find that if you eat inside, you get bigger portions. Decent Chinese food. It’s not PF Chang, nor do they claim to be, so I’m not sure what all the negative reviews are about.

I think the food is decent. Always hot and proportions are hefty. The delivery service is awesome, drivers are always kind. They don’t have sushi on their menu tho. Prices are right and there the only place I can find that still serves pork fried rice with your meals and lunch specials, oh and unlike other places, they serve egg roll, soup or salad with your lunch specials for under $ 6

I had the Curry Chicken, not spicy which was great. I totally enjoy this restaurant.

First and foremost, a lot of these reviews are of the wrong place as this place does not serve sushi. Now, as for the food, it’s bleh. It’s your typical Chinese-American food. The General Tso’s Chicken is pretty good, the Hot and Sour Soup is pretty good(pretty sour too) and I love the wontons they bring out with the soup. The price IMO is the only thing though that makes this place better-than-normal. It’s cheap as hell. So yeah, if you want cheap, okay food, this is your place.

This is my mom’s favorite place for Chinese — she’s been coming here for years, so we always go with her when we’re back in town, even though we prefer the vegetarian menu at Dragon City(but Dragon City is great for take-out, and this place is way better for dining in!) The service at Royal Garden is really great; the same ladies have been working here for years and they are super nice! The lunch special is the bomb — it’s a fantastic price for a TON of food. And the last time I went, I was super impressed by how accommodating they were — we didn’t notice anything vegetarian on the lunch special list, and asked for a regular menu, but our server advised us that we could swap out the meat for tofu on one of the lunch special items, so we ordered General Tso’s tofu, and it was absolutely spectacular! The only thing they can’t do is a vegetarian egg roll(normally part of the lunch combo), which is fine with me. I also think they have the best egg drop soup in town, always served with a giant plate of crispy wontons. This is a real hidden gem and I will keep coming back!

Not a fan. I tried to be several times though. I live in Willoughby so this spot is the closest Chinese place that will deliver. I am a fan of Golden China on 1st View but they do not deliver so the handful of times I’ve tried it, just doesn’t change. I thought it was a fluke — but the food just doesn’t taste fresh. I haven’t tried their sushi there — only their Chinese food menu — General Tsos and Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Just never tastes like other places, and that’s not necessarily a good thing. I haven’t actually eaten in the restaurant so I can’t review that. But, I won’t order here for delivery again. Instead I get my lazy butt up and drive to my local fave and just get take-out because I know it’ll be tasty and delicious.

Maybe its nostalgia, but I’m a fan of this place. When I was a kid, my mom would let us stay home from school from time to time, just because and we always knew what the day consisted of… watching the Price is Right, Dark Shadows, and getting ‘beef and broccoli lunch special’(that’s exactly how we ordered over the phone) for lunch. When I was in middle school, school got out at 2:45 and the lunch special ended at 3… me and my mom would rush there and I’d order at like 3 exactly… looking back, I felt like I was getting away with something and it kinda makes me giggle thinking about the experience. Now, when I’m sick and stay home from work, I always want it for lunch and to me, it tastes the same as when I was 10(18 years ago). Obviously they’re doing something right being in business as long as they have. Actually, I was just there like 2 weeks ago with my mom for lunch and then place was packed… I was kinda surprised, but I think it’s a lot of the same ‘ol folks. This place will always be one of my favs.

Attentive staff. Restaurant appeared clean. Somewhat un-exciting food. Ordered General Tso chicken, and was expecting something different than what I got. Decent egg roll, though it had the look and taste of something pre-made. Excellent fried won ton appetizer. Great sweet tea. I was disappointed. And cannot recommend this restaurant. @Removeyourhat

This place delivers so I tried it. Horrible bland chicken wings(I mean really? How can u mess up chicken wings?) Lo mein was swimming in soy sauce. Royal shouldn’t even be in name! Yuck!

Holy crap this was bad. All I got was a large wonton soup and I was really disappointed. The amount of oil in there made it impossible to eat. And the wontons — where do I begin? How about WHERETHEHELLISTHEMEAT??? And even if you decided to leave the meat out(wtf?) the dough was undercooked and unpleasant to eat. I haven’t had actual dishes here but if the soup is any kind of indication of how everything is prepared here(spare me the«It’s a chinese food joint» shpeal… you can still have good chinese food without it being drowned in MSG) I will opt out.

We had delivery tonight. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten in there, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food is even better than I remember it… and I remember it being pretty good. All your typical Chinese food fare, eat in or take out. Delivery was prompt(and I don’t think they charged us for delivery). Bonus: There’s a sushi bar in there, and they make pretty good sushi too.
