KFC

I’m an optimist, and I think this KFC is ok. No issues with the speed of the service here. Friendly cashier, and when I happened to order something they had to cook up, they threw in an extra piece! I know my book, that’s good customer service.
Also, not sure what it looked like before, but the décor is nice and clean. If I’m in the area again and hankering for chicken, if have no issues stopping by again.

Well I usually go in here during the morning period but today I did the afternoon & never again. I was told my food would be about three minutes. After twelve I asked just for an update and the girl at the register gave me attitude for it. She told me I will get it when she feels like getting it to me. I told her she doesn’t have a right to give me attitude over asking for an update. Once my food was finally ready she dropped my food on the counter and said there you go. Not all of my food was in the bag so I asked where the side was and she continued to give me attitude saying we don’t know what you ordered even though she’s the one that took my order. After being called a freak, given attitude over inquiring about the length of time it was taking. I shall never go in there unless it with the employees in the morning. When I told the manager about all this his idea of fixing it was telling me it’s okay and wondering if I wanted a refund or what. Sorry refunds don’t fix a horrible experience.

Wasn’t busy at all. Got there at 7:05pm, placed our order and got it at 7:50. We could have went to an actual restaurant, been seated and ate in this time. Staff could not tell us the ingredients to any of the menu items either. How do you work at a fast food restaurant and not actually know what’s in the food? Baffling!

Norfolk VA, on Military Hwy. Okay, fast food means convenience and timely. Well this KFC does not have a clue. Thursday night 10:00 PM doors are locked, drive through is open. We order a 2 and a 3 piece meal. We are told it will be a 10 min wait, okay. For the inconvenience we ask what can you do for us. They gave us an additional side order. Paid, the wait starts 35 minutes later here is the food. Did I mention 1 of the individuals had her laptop and doing her Facebook business instead of providing good service. Enough said, if you want chicken from this place your better off, cooking it yourself.

First time here and have pass a million times. I don’t do KFC, or Taco HELL! So the fact that two of my least favorites fast food restaurants are combines was not ever appealing. But my son after a swim meet enjoys his KFC.
The restaurant is directly across Ocean View Beach and I saw a lot of walk in traffic. Also half of the dining room was filled with teens doing some type of trading card club. The dining room was clean enough.
Service at the counter with our cashier was okay, nothing over the top. Told them it was for here. It took much longer than what I would expect considering it was not busy, drive thru had a few customers. The food came out in a bag and I told the woman it was for here and she gave me a plate… smh! My son said the food was HOT and tasted fine to him.
I excused myself to use the restroom and the overall restroom not bad, but sink was completely filthy and doubt it had been checked for a while.
I have been to better.

Waited about 30 min in drive thru for a soft taco… Sketchy area as well so you just want to go in and get out, once I came in to eat and saw the employee at the register full ok arguing with a customer… um awkward?! And isn’t the customer always supposed to be right?

By far the worst Taco Bell/​KFC I have ever had the displeasure of going to, will never go back. Service was terrible by far the worst I have ever been to. Everyone should be fired in that store, do yourself a favor and just ignore the signs and keep driving past.

decided to give this place a 2^nd try what a mistake. From when they took my money to when i finally decided to ask for a refund was 17 min. the sad part was there were only 2 people in line and this was at lunch time. POOR SERVICE = NO MORE BUSINESS .only reason they survive is because of the base. do yourself a favor stay away

I am old enough to remember when chicken that you got from Kentucky Fried Chicken was a welcome treat for dinner. It was expensive, in those years, and it was always fresh and hot. The side dishes, while not up to mom or grandmother standards, were good enough, that we didn’t complain.
Fast forward to today.
With the brand takeover by Yum, KFC, and all of the other Yum Brands, have gotten the do it as cheaply as possible treatment, and with that, KFC is barely editable.
Honestly, the only reasons we were eating here, were: 1) Traffic across the HRBT was horrendous, and we were forced, time wise to make dinner a fast food affair. 2) I could not keep my self respect if I had chosen to eat the dreck served at Burger King or McDonalds, the only other two choices we were given. It was KFC or nothing. I wish I had chosen nothing.
This particular unit is a KFC/​Taco Bell mash up, which makes it popular with the late night crowd.
Though, in all honesty, they earned their 1 Star tonight. My last experience, with KFC, a couple of weeks ago, was so horrific, that I had sworn them off for good. That’s a shame; I used to love their extra crispy chicken, that I can’t seem to find anywhere else.
The store was kinda/​sorta clean. All of the staff was busy in the preparation and serving areas, so there was no one cleaning the tables or the bathrooms. It was busy on our arrival, with a 6 or 7 deep line of customers at the order desk. The line was held up, apparently by a woman, trying to get a 10 piece dinner, with 10 breast pieces in it, and the resulting animated discussion that brought about.
The wife ordered off of the Taco Bell side of the menu; a chicken quesadilla, that came with a soft taco. She said that her meal was spicy enough to have a taste, but not so overbearing that she could not eat it.
I decided to give the 3 piece chicken strip dinner a second try. A couple of weeks ago, I had ordered this at another KFC (only) location (1 star only because I could not figure out how to give it 0 stars here on Unilocal), and had gotten a horrific meal. The order was incomplete, and the chicken was old, cold and dry.
Tonight, was pretty much the same, though, the order was complete. Fast food places suffer from performance problems. Nothing that you see on a printed menu, or commercial, has any resemblance to the actual finished product, handed over the counter to the customer.
The 3 extra crispy chicken strips, were cold. Small, and had no taste or texture resemblance to a piece of Extra Crispy Chicken. The side of Cole slaw was excellent. The mac and cheese had that film layer over it, of something that had been sitting for a long time, and had started to solidify on top.
Of course, thinking that the pictures that were plastered all around the shop, which shows a chicken strip dinner coming with a drink.
Apparently, since I did not say $ 5 Dollar Meal Deal, I had to order a drink, that I thought was already included.
I also ordered two soft tacos off of the Taco Bell side of the menu. Whatever their «seasoned ground beef «is made of; if its beef, like they claim it is, then my Grandmother was a Chippendale’s dancer; it was spiced up enough to have a taco flavor.
So, in the end, we got an overpriced meal, what was barely worth eating. The KFC of my youth, has been replaced, by a do it cheap corporate entity, that is satisfied with turning their back on the Colonel’s good name and his once good chicken.
Unfortunately, since its cheap, and has a drive thru, KFC/​Taco Bell will stay open till the end of time, while places that actually try and serve good food at affordable prices, will fall by the wayside.
Menu suggestion, guys: Sell Tums. Or directions to a better place to eat.

Very poor KFC. Have been there several times when they were out of original recipe. How could KFC be out of chicken?
