I don’t know how it’s possible but this place always does me good — even though it is unfortunately sooo unhealthy. The Texas toast is by far my favorite item on the menu and I can’t go to Cane’s without having at least one or two. Which works out perfectly since every combo(cheap I add) comes with it. The chicken fingers always hit the spot, always hot, crispy and with their sauce. Yum! Portions are ideal as I am always full but never feeling bloated.

Sooooo the chicken fingers were good, but that sauce is A-1 I was trying my best to figure out what was in it lol. That toasted buttery bread was just as good great place will be back.

Love this place. I jus found out about this place not to long ago. I held off on visiting this place because the person told me all they sell is chicken fingers. But I’m glad they only sell chicken fingers, these are some of the best chicken fingers I have ever had and the sauce that comes with it omg !!! I need to learn what’s in it. The combo I got came with 4 chicken fingers, fries, bread and a drink. The price isn’t too bad for the Quality and quantity of food you get. I paid about 18.00 for 2 of theses combos. The only then is its always busy with college kids so if you don’t mind been around a lot of college age kids you need to go eat there now

Chicken tenders where average. Kind of dry. I didn’t like the sauce but a lot of people does. The Texas toast is good even I have to agree even thought I shouldn’t be eating carbs. Love the thin fries.

I am very happy that we have Raising Canes here in the 757. I’ve made it a point to go this place everytime I’m in Houston. I don’t like the fact that it’s over by ODU. Hopefully there are plans to expand this franchise throughout the area. This place does one thing and one thing only. Make some good chicken strips. They are juicy & tender on the inside and fried to perfection on the outside. It’s comes with texas toast and coleslaw and fried. The texas toast is outstanding. Buttery goodness. The crinkle cut fries are too thin for my liking. I dont care too much for the coleslaw so I traded it out for an extra piece of texas toast. And that sauce. If I could… I’d put that sh$t on everything. Overall the guy working the counter was friendly and welcoming. The place was kept clean and had a modern appeal to it. I’ll definitely go back but I really do hope they build them throughout the area.

I actually felt like having a salad but have always wanted to try this place; so I did. Just before work, and what a way to start my shift. This place is very casual. Shorts and tank tops really, lol. I love the lemonade. Seems it’s extra for it though so be prepared to see that charge. The sandwich was good: three tenders, lettuce, and cane’s sauce on a kaiser roll. The fries are crinkle cut and very skinny; not impressive but can’t complain either. They were good. The cashier was friendly; and cute too. I’d like to try more of their menu. I like this place. I plan on coming back.

All their combos are superb! My Hubby and I got the Craniac! I work at the ODU research foundation. Love this place and it’s made fresh to order!

I tried this place after my daughter talked them up like the best chicken tenders on the planet. She wasn’t joking. They are crazy good and the toasted bread taste like it’s soaked in butter. I got the 4 piece and doubled the fries instead of slaw. All the ODU people swear by this place. You won’t be disappointed.

So after trying Zaxby’s and being very disappointed I just happened to be in the area of this Raising Cane’s and decided to drop by. I was not disappointed this time. The chicken fingers were crisp and had a good taste to them especially with the Cane’s sauce. Fries were fine and the toast was great. I really do wish there were other locations in Hampton Roads as Raising Cane’s blows Zaxby’s out of the water. There is no comparison. Food quality and even customer service were excellent while at RC. In addition, the front counter employee, James, was very attentive and upbeat. He even let me use my Canes card just this once. Excellent customer service!

Raising Cane’s is an ODU delicacy, and this location is especially special because it’s the only one in Hampton Roads. I remember my first time here a few years ago. At first bite I fell in love with their crinkle cut fries, the texas toast, the coleslaw, and the fresh, crispy chicken paired with that secret sauce. It was everything! During my undergrad, I spent many times here enjoying food with friends. My two most recent times here were because I received coupons for teacher apppreciation week. Both times the service was friendly and the food was just as tasty as I remember. Be prepared for a bit of a wait though, they’re a little on the slow side, but besides that if you’re ever in the Ghent/ODU area and like fried chicken stop by Cane’s and see what all the fuss is about!

Yummy! I always pass by this place but since they only sell chicken fingers and chicken sandwich it’s not in my diet plan. But today I was wanting chicken fingers so who cares about diet today –_– Plenty of seatings and big windows all around. Some tables and chairs was a little dirty, so it needs improvement there. The menu board is easy to follow since it’s not a whole lot of choices but I think it’s a little costly for what you get. Chicken fingers comes with the crinkle fries and Texas toast. These crinkle fries are skinny crinkly ones that I didn’t even know they existed! The right amount of salt made these potatoes such a delight to eat. Now for the chicken fingers… oh my goodness! The best fast food chicken fingers I’ve had and the sauce that comes with it brings these fingers up a notch! The sauce I can’t even describe but I know it’s like peppery flavor which makes it much more special. Even the Texas toast is nice and buttery soft. Ugh…I can see myself stopping by every week!

A few feet from ODU, this is your average Cane’s situated in an area where several other restaurants exists and within walking distance from football games. If you’re in town looking for a quick bite, the tenders here are worthy, but prepare yourself, the table you want to eat at will probably be dirty. Meanwhile, the sweet, sweet tea, lemonade and salty fries, along with steaming hot chicken tenders will keep you from fretting over the dirty table and floor. For chicken tenders(which is all they have here) you aren’t going to find a better place nearby — or a better value.

5 stars for the lady dancing behind the counter to the greatest 80s compilation!!! The people behind the counter were ecstatic to be working there. If you get excited people at any business you get excited to be there. Hungry? This is the place to go. It’s all fried food so you’ll fill up pretty fast. If you feel like you have a tapeworm in you order the The Caniac Combo. It’s a LOT of damn food. 6 Chicken Fingers — pretty good… all big pieces Extra Fries — definitely extra Coleslaw — this tasted okay, nothing too special 2 Cane’s Sauce Texas Toast — not bad, too Large Drink — the sweet tea has crack in it… it’s addicting Yeah, it’s pretty legit. And if you get the happy staff working you’ll have an even better experience.

Does anybody else think this place resembles Zaxby’s? I do. Anyway i thought the fingers were bland good quality but zero flavor. You would think a place that originated Louisiana would put some spice on there chicken or at least give you a choice. The sauce wasn’t bad but that’s there only sauce which left me scratching my head. Ranch… no, honey mustard… Nope, BBQ … Sorry. They have none of those. Like I said I liked there sauce but what if you want something else to dip your bland tenders in, better bring your own. Don’t think I will be going back.

This was our first time at Canes and I do it see a return trip in our future. The chicken had no flavor. I don’t think they added any spices to the coating at all and I have no idea what the dipping sauce was but the jury is still out on whether we liked it or not. No need for anyone to rush here. :-(

I first had Cane’s in Ohio and I was instantly hooked. Amazing chicken fingers, weird but great [and greasy] texas toast, and fresh steaming french fries. Since I’m from California(a Cane’s deprived state), I had to rely on my trips to Vegas to get it. When I found out there was a Cane’s in my new home town, I was STOKED! This location, though, is a little wobbly compared to other locations. The staff is generally nice, but some have been less than friendly. Which leads me to my next issue: about half the time I eat here the soda machine is out of their amazing, soft ice! It sounds ridiculous, but the ice at Cane’s is probably the best I’ve had. It’s basically like crushed ice, but even lighter! But, after having to ask for ice from their *~special*~ ice machine behind the counter, they always seemed a little perturbed. Also, the sweet ice tea is the best! I usually mix it with unsweetened to cut down on the sugar. The chicken itself is always good, but better some times than others. Last time I went it was slightly cold, which was disappointing. The fries, though, have always been steaming and great, which is saying something for curly fries. The toast has also always been amazing, so if you’re a Cane’s newbie then don’t blow it off! Your life may be changed forever. I can’t stop before talking about the special Cane’s dipping sauce. They give you a small container of it, but it should be enough to enjoy its greatness in combination with all parts of your food(chicken, fries, bread). It’s really just like thousand island dressing, but it’s still amazing! So why 3 stars? Basically the inconsistency here is a problem in my opinion. They’re so close to being great but can’t quite reach it. Also, as always, it’s just a little expensive for what you get. 3 chicken fingers, cole slaw, toast, fries and a drink will run you about $ 9. Pricey for fast food! Bottom line: Do I still love Canes? Yes. Will I keep coming back here when I need my fill of junk food? Yes. The price and inconsistency make me a little less than ecstatic about this location, and are probably why(aside from not wanting diabetes and hypertension) I don’t come more than once every couple of months. If you like chicken fingers, toast, and fries then give this a shot! I think you’ll be glad you did.

We have been wanting to try this place since it opened back in January but for whatever reason, we just got around to it on a recent weekend. As the others have already noted, the thing that caught my attention right away was the limited menu. If you like chicken fingers and nothing but chicken fingers, this is the place for you. It’s literally the only thing they serve. But, I suppose there is something to be said about a focused business strategy. Anyway, we were eating a late lunch and ordered a couple of combos to split among the four of us. The combos come with chicken fingers, fries, slaw and texas toast. We subbed more texas toast for the slaw. I liked the chicken fingers, my kids thought they were fine but my wife was not a fan. The fries and texas toast were actually quite good. We ordered a few extra pieces of texas toast. While there were some good things, the overall meal experience was just average. I doubt I would go back again, unless I have an unusual craving for chicken fingers, which has never happened. Pizza, yeah, I get unusual cravings for that. But, chicken fingers, not so much.
