I would give this place a negative review, but Unilocal doesn’t allow it… Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I will give them the fact it was father’s day and the place was packed… But this was my family’s first visit, we were never greeted by the staff, stood at the front counter for a few min before asking if we were to seat ourselves… No help from the staff, no smiles, nothing. We seated ourselves at the bar facing the open kitchen. The waitresses were unfriendly and we seemed more of an annoyance to be there. The cook was behind in orders and seemed to be getting no help, expect a waitress throwing toast on plates after handling money at the register. The environment was truly unfriendly and unorganized for a huge crowd of people. We sat for 20 mins without refills on our coffee, our waitress didn’t even check on us. We became tired of all the eye rolls, huffing and puffing from the waitresses, we just left $ 5 on the table to cover our drinks, asked to cancel our order and walked out. No one even bothered to ask what the issue was. We will probably never step foot in this business because of the unfriendly staff and unsanitary ways they handle food. We recommend Bel-Aire Diner on East little Creek Rd.

I wanted a nice breakfast. I wanted eggs, pancakes the works. What I got was egg shells and greasy inedible meat. Waste of time and money! Never again!

Breakfast is my favorite meal and I can’t explain how happy I am to have found a NY style diner here in VA. My pancakes were so fluffy and my eggs were cook to perfection. I will definitely be coming back.

First time visit, although have lived in this area over 30 yrs. Always on the lookout for an area diner that serves New York style Home Fried potatoes, and not skillet fried, or hash browns. The few area diners that did sell them eventually reverted back to hash browns. I was assured that will not be the case here. Found they also serve a she crab soup on Friday, I will be back to give them more business.

I stumbled upon this place on the way to Dunkin Donuts, needless to say we had breakfast here instead! I was a little curious at first because the exterior throws you off but when you walk inside it is very well maintained and clean. The staff was very attentive. It was around 930 on a Saturday, there were a few tables of «regulars» and constant people coming and going. The food was great, all home cooked and not greasy or old. Coffee was hot and fresh, always a good sign. Between the three of us(myself and 2 young kids) we has an omelet with home fries, which were big chunks of potatoes, not your typical shred, Belgian waffle with bacon and our younger one had fruit loops cereal with milk. Over all the experience and food was outstanding, the wait staff were kept busy but never skipped over our table. We will definitely be going back for more weekend breakfast trips. I would also like to try their lunch/dinner menu! They’re always changing their daily specials board with different home style meals, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, liver and onions and it goes on. I would definitely recommend you stop in and try it out

I’ve been coming here for a while and never had a bad meal. Everything is priced right and the family who owns it makes you feel like you’re part of their family. You can tell the mom and sister really love their customers. I love their veggie omelette and breakfast sandwich with home fries. I asked my husband what he likes and he said«everything I’ve ever had here!»

Visiting from Boston looking for a nice place to have a good hearty breakfast and ran into Little Creek Diner. The services is friendly, food is delicious and fresh. They sell fresh fruit homemade jelly and the place is clean/sterile. Don’t let the outside fool you. Looks like a place you may not want to try but it’ll wow you once you come in.

I’ve said it already and I wanna say it again; I love diners and I am a certified soul food finder. I am a huge fan of the classic American diner because of home cooked style, you may also find the outrageous deconstructed meal that you may love or hate it. Just in case you wonder how do I find this place, its definitely an easy answer and its all because of the honest active Unilocalers who truthfully write reviews and understand the essence of fine dining considering the status and preference of the restaurant. Places like this exist because of the love and support of the customer who truly believe to their food that they serve in the table. Nothing fancy but a solid and delicious home cooked meal. I can tell that this place is a neighborhood diner where most the guest is regular and probably know the staff and owner of this place. I’m actually amazed how busy this place but I’m far even surprised that the food service is really fast. There was one only hostess /server who served 8 tables in one time and she was serving it really well. Isn’t that impressive? This is one thing that I’m in love with diner because you’ll get to witness the most terrific customer service that you’ve never ever seen before. I do like this place, there is nothing too spectacular about in the interior however its clean and well maintained. I was skeptical at the beginning because the outer part of it is nothing match alike the personality of the restaurant plus there next to the pawn shop. Sometimes the best experience you get is those places that you don’t expect to exceed your expectations. bunch. Sunday brunch is part of my weekly routine. I thought its about time to visit this place since its been in my bookmark for ages. For today’s visit I ordered the hearty breakfast steak and eggs served with home fries and toast. I thought the entire meal was incredibly complex. The steak and home fries alone was dynamite; its seasoned well and flavorful. The best way to order eggs is over easy. The yolk elevate and balance the flavor of other components. All together creates an interesting pallate; I thought it was succulent. The portion is very generous and enough to fill your hungry stomach. I don’t think you’ll get out of this place unsatisfied unless you’re expecting fancy dining. It was truly a wonderful experience and I’m glad I come here today because it was perfect for the occasion. I will definitely come back and I’m looking forward to try the dessert.

A classic diner. This spot is tucked out of the way if I hadn’t seen it on Unilocal I wouldn’t have known it was here. We found it by chance and we were glad we have it a try. This is a true local spot where everybody that comes in knows each other. Our server even asked if we were from out of town since we were not regulars. They have 14 tables and a counter and provide standard diner fare in good portions. There is about 10 omelets to choose from, pancakes, waffles, and what is referred to as Hearty Breakfasts. Hearty is the right term, those plates are full. I had the Italian omelet. Three eggs with sausage, peppers, and mozzarella. A side of home fries, toast, and sausage. My friend had the country fried steak breakfast with home fries. Our meals were terrific. The service was great. Our server was friendly and warm. This is a spot to bookmark and return to.

I truly enjoy the Little Creek Diner. We moved into the neighborhood near the diner and our new neighbors told us that the food at the diner was amazing. There is a breakfast special(2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon or sausage) for only $ 5 – 6 and the pancakes are the best I’ve ever had. There is a different lunch/dinner special everyday. We sometimes order it in the early afternoon and save it for dinner that night. The food is delish but the best part about eating at the diner is the service. It’s a family-owned and operated diner and they’re always friendly and offer excellent service.

I would never have seen this place if it wasn’t for google maps especially at 6am! I took a risk and went in because I am always down for small businesses over corporate places like ihop and so on. This place had 3 tables of regulars and me at the ‘bar’ I had the typical 2 egg breakfast which did come with home fries. I also ordered a side of biscuit and gravy which was Delish! My tab was still under $ 10. I had no complaints and would try it again especially considering their early hours. Don’t judge a book… go try it for yourself if you are in the area.

Stopped in here around noon and had breakfast. Short stack, two THICK slices of scrapple cooked perfectly, three eggs and toast. Waitress got straight to business with a «What-ah-ya-havin» approach. Food was fantastic, coffee was fresh, service was fast. Absolutely would eat here again. Only negative is that the outside is questionable and the inside could use some fresh paint, but that’s not enough to detract a star. Check it out!

Huge variety, terrific diner food. Good choices for kids, both breakfast and lunch/dinner items. Don’t eat at the airport, drop in here and eat better for less. Just a couple of miles to Norfolk Airport, about 10 min by car in low traffic.

This place was great. My bestie treated me to breakfast and this place is close to her house. The prices were ridiculously cheap. The waitress was friendly and quick to serve us. The décor was outdated, but the awesome food made up for that factor. 2 eggs over easy, wheat toast, bacon, and fried potatoes — all perfect.

Don’t let the post-Apocalyptic exterior fool you, this is good diner food. We usually hit them up on weekend mornings with a bit of a head when eggs/bacon/grits/coffee go a long way towards recovery. It’s not fine dining. But it is good food served by a friendly Greek family. My fave: the spinach and feta omelette.

Come hungry. large menu and big portions! Never a disappointment! Great value! Daily Specials !! All home made !! Above is my Original Review from several years past… UPDATE3−22−05 Sadly I must say that over the past few month the place has gone south. The Cooks REFUSE to make the food correctly, . On many days I have watched the second cook, sneeze, cough over food. At one point I even said something where they did make him wash his hands. Had I not said anything I am certain he would have continued to handle food. I thought maybe things would get back to how they were, Finally after a few dozen visits it has become clear that it won’t . SO Yesterday will be my last visit there.
