I don’t often eat at KFC, but when I do, I get very specific items, because these been crafted in near-perfection. I took a trip there for lunch today, and got a similar item off the menu as I normally do(the famous bowl). Recently, KFC has changed the recipe in their famous bowls from cut-up chicken tenders in the bowl, to popcorn chicken. Suffice to say, it’s disappointing, and doesn’t compare to the style of chicken that used to be included. I got my lunch at this location, and explained the ordeal to the employee working the counter(Taquon), and she was very attentive and empathetic to my cause, and offered to custom-make me a famous bowl with the superior chicken, sans sweet corn(it throws off the flavor and texture). She offered to cut up the chicken tenders(as per the old recipe), and replace the popcorn chicken with them at no extra charge. Upon hearing this, I got all excited and provided her a tip for her service as well. she also requested I fill out the customer service survey on the receipt, which I happily obliged. She adequately prepared the food, and it was amazing; just as I expected. It’s good to see there are employees still willing to cater to customers who want the old recipe. Totally an awesome experience. If I could hope that more KFC employees could do this and revert back to the old recipe, I would buy their famous bowls more often.

Created an account on Unilocal just to write this review. I would be surprised if the health department didn’t close this place down. Worst chicken I’ve ever had. Service is a little less than terrible Even for Norfolk standards. Will absolutely not be back.

I love chicken as do most. And there’s nothing I love better than stopping after work and picking up a 5 dollar box of chicken, potato wedges, and a drink! But this one night in particular when I came I was highly disappointed. After a long 12 hour shift of being on my feet all day, I had decided to stop by KFC for a quick pick-up. So I order the number 4 and speed home ready to devour the box as soon as I get home. I get home. There was nothing but a bunch of potato boxes in the box. WTF! I tipped the box over and dug through it, hoping to come across a remnant of chicken. There was nothing. Infuriated, i called the store and needless to say they gave me a free dinner but my appetite was so ruined that I didn’t even go back for a whole week. I’ve been back since :)
