There are no prices for the drinks on the menu. I subpar cocktail was $ 13.49. It cost more than my food. I expected it to be overpriced but that was highway robbery. I feel completely taken advantage of!!!

Ambiance: one of the only few choices you have in the airport Service: attentive yet a bit slow Food: French Fries — *** hot and crispy Beef Bistro & Blue — *** average taste Caesar Salad — * not fresh, the leave seemed bad Price: overpriced for its quality, expect $ 15~$ 20 each

Service is great– music is incredible, beer is cold and effervescent and calamari is adequately fried and satisfying. Take a load off. You’re in an airport.

Sandwiches, burgers, salads, beers and spirits. Something to do while you’re waiting for your flight. The only sit down restaurant inside security in the concourse for the Delta and United gates, there is a bar area, some tables and then another set of tables across from the restaurant in a little glass/railing enclosed area. I had a turkey and bacon sandwich with fries that was OK. The sandwich was reasonable but the fries were quite underdone even if there were a lot of them. Airports are very limited in their food options because knives but I don’t understand why they can’t cook fries properly. $ 7.99 for a bottle of beer. Whoah! Service was good.

Worse Pino Grigio ever(Stellina). $ 16.88 for 9 oz on top of that. And service was poor as well. Really disappointed…

Fries were cold and undercooked. Burger is a factory burger. BBQ burger flavor was good. Dirt in the bottom of glass. Server did a good job. Not many choices so you get what u get

When in an airport terminal, choices are generally limited. Decent restaurant, standard bar fare. Burgers and wings are both meh. Crab cakes are decent, good amount of tv’s and good service generally and friendly wait staff. Chargers plentiful at the bar, which is clutch at the bar. Will return, purely for lack of other choices

Not sure what folks expect for a restaurant in a Air Port, but basically, it’s «Okay». Service was a little sketch, the wait staff in the back chatted with each other more so than taking normal rounds to look for drink refills or to ask if you were ready for your check. So, I was left without a full drink. Nachos were gargantuan. I mean, seriously, epic big. All in all, every one was friendly, just not attentive, it’s fine if you’re in a pinch and really hungry before a flight, but certainly not worth a special visit while you’re in the terminal!

I have no idea why this place doesn’t get better reviews. I had the best airport breakfast there before my 7 am flight! At 6 am I was trudging along like a zombie in the terminal, passing starbucks and praying I don’t have to turn back around to eat overpriced oatmeal. At the very end of the terminal I saw a tiny sign for Back Bay Bistro. Is it open this early? yes it is! huzzah! I won’t even judge those drinking crown and coke at this hour as long as you feed me! Sure, there was only one service person there at 6 am behind the bar. Mr grumbly tummy forgoes my manners as I grab a menu from the cash register and search for the tiny insert of a breakfast menu… ehhh meat and eggs pretty standard *turn the page* oh my god egg florentine! yes … that… right now… RIGHTNOW. By this time the bartender came over and asked if I needed a menu. nope! eggs florentine stat! water? sure… and coffee… while I waited for my skillet to arrive, I watched… golf… really are we really watching golf at 6 am? is this live? who the heck plays golf for television this early? Not long after, my silver skillet of eggs, spinach and parmesan cheese arrives. I could not be happier for a real breakfast on my travel day. The mixture was perfect. The vegetables complimented the cheese very evenly, and every once in awhile came the surprise of bacon. yum! The bartender was attentive enough for groggy 6 am me… and polite enough to handle the early pissed off travelers. With about 5 parties dining in the restaurant, I would expect great service. If you ever find yourself at Norfolk Airport, keep walking past Starbucks! It’s worth the trip!

We ordered the chicken quesadilla, chicken Caesar salad, chili, and a coke. Terrible service and very slow. The waitress got our order wrong and the soup came out with the food, not before. It took almost 15 minutes to get a coke. Not impressed.

Just a mediocre airport restaurant. Nothing special. I had bonless buffalo wings and a crabcake sandwich. The wing sauce was a little sour(that’s what happens when you use Tabasco instead of Frank’s Red Hot) and not thick enough. The crab cake was loaded with scallions on top and a weird chipotle mayo sauce. Not very flavorful. It just tasted like chiportle Mayo. Everything was over priced which is expected from an airport(both items I ordered were about $ 16 and a club soda was $ 3). However, The place was clean and the waitress was friendly. It sustained me until my flight!

Burger was OK, the side salad was weak. The chopped lettuce looked like used to cover a cheap burger from McDonalds. Service was nice but slow but location worked since there’s no other choices, 2 Stats

Waitress is nice. They’re good about asking if you want a single or a double… but when u order the double the bartender gives you a huge glass and drowns the double. What’s the point?! They were good about correcting it.

Back Bay Bistro is my go to for breakfast after going through security. Mostly because there are no other options. The portions(at least at breakfast) are decent and tasty. The service has gotten much better than several months ago when 5 people in the place would seem to grind service to a halt and drive the waitress into high stress modes. If you are flying Delta, this is the place to grab breakfast before leaving ORF.

Stopped in before our flight out… Unfortunately we decided to have breakfast. Bad: — Coffee was weak and burnt at 8am. Most likely was run with previously used coffee grounds which is disgusting. — i ordered the hash and eggs. The hash and eggs where mixed and cooked together. It came out luke warm and had the consistency of pre-chewed food. No toast or other side was included. Good: Service was good although there were only three people in the place. The waitress took the coffee off the bill. My wife ordered the oatmeal which seemed decent. This the only place to get alcohol in the B concourse so there is that.

Wow, food was terrible. The staff was very kind and helpful. But we almost missed out flight and she took her sweet time getting our checks. We both ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich. The Bun was old and heated all day, it was light — in weight, like all the moisture left it and it was just a disk of old crispy stale bread. The thin crab cake was microwaved. The sauce was great though. Fries oily but crispy. I think I would rather grab a salad from one of those to-go places but if you have time it’s a nice atmosphere to hang out and have a drink. Looking at the beer prices, I miss the $ 2 specials around the area — but hey, this IS an Airport…

Horrible fin every way. Stay away! Worst place I have been to in years. Even the food and service on the airplane would be better than this.
