Braids Gala

Thanks to everyone who reviewed this place! It’s hard to find someone to braid your hair without it being uncomfortably tight and in a comfortable environment. They made sure that my hair was what I wanted. I was asked to send a picture of what I would like. I got the Havana twists and they turned out like I asked. I was actually able to go to sleep the night of. Next day, they were still in tact.
Braids Gala was a professional braiding experience. I would definitely go back the next time I want braids.

I got my hair done in the summertime and I must say Ola was just so friendly and nice to me. I made a last minute appointment and she was able to fit me in. Unfortunately I do not remember the young lady’s name that did my hair, but she was so very sweet and fast. I remember it was storming that day and she walked me to my car with her umbrella. I will definitely be back!

I will most definitely not come back to this place. After being told that I could not use a coupon that was clearly posted on the Unilocal app. In addition to the braiders arriving an hour after my appointment was scheduled I was charged 40 extra dollars for the length of my braids. This would not have been a problem except I told the braiders when they began that the braids were far too long. I had gotten a price quoted and set an appointment for shoulder length but was given waist length braids. Very far from what I wanted and when I saw the finished product I was NOT happy. I didn’t mind paying the extra money because that was the service I received (even though it was not the service I wanted). I was not going to post my review about the service I got here until just now when one of my braid fell out of my head. I have only had these braids a WEEK! I have tied up my hair every night before bed so this is completely unacceptable. I will NEVER come back here. To disregard what I asked for and then charge me a higher price with low quality service I feel scammed. Not to mention I missed a appointment that was clearly stated when I arrived at my appointment.

I had been searching for a quaint but more intimate salon that would offer cleanliness, professionalism, kindness and humble individuals with gifted hands. I came across the website and was immediately drawn to the quality of work.
I then saw the name Ola, I though this was my grandmothers name, this has to be a good sign. I made the call and was instantly sold by the caring, professions lady that I had the pleasure of speaking with. Ola remained consisted from start to finish, even taking time from her busy day to stop in and say hello and welcome. So the day of my APPT. I arrive and I’m greeted by 1 of my 2 stylist Funke, what a beautiful spirit, just a sweetheart and then came Angie, just a joy. Together they could not have been more amazing. The quality and care they took braiding my thigh length braids. Those ladies stood on there feet from 8:30am to 7:55pm every braid more impeccable than the next. The shop is a very intimate setup. Even a specialty room designed especially for children to get dolled up and feel so comfortable. If you need hair, don’t worry, they’ve got you covered and the quality of hair is just amazing. The ladies work straight, though they will offer you a refreshment. It’s always nice to pack a small snack so not to interrupt the flow of beauty they are creating. This is a a place to visit, extremely great experience! Thank you Funke, Angie & Ola, you’re the best!!! If you would like to pay with credit just let them know and please tip the ladies well, they truly deserve that and more again, thank you ladies, thank you & blessings

Braids Gala has great costumer service. I have visited the salon twice this year. I had the same high quality service delivered to me both times. I also receive tons of compliments on my hair when it is done at Braids Gala. The atmosphere of the salon is also very welcoming and the staff are friendly. Plus, I am on a budget and the price of hairdo at Braids Gala is just right. At Braids Gala, I don’t have to break a bank to come out with fabulous hair. I would definitely recommend it.

The braid shop was amazing the space was clean and easily accessible. I love how quickly I was in and out. The employees were polite and engaging while I got my hair done. I definitely plan on coming back to use them regularly. Plus, it’s one of the few affordable braiding locations in Gwinnett County!

Love this place! Clean, fast, and friendly service. What more could you ask for? Oh, yes, I left there looking fantastic and didn’t need Tylenol afterwards. Will definitely go back.
