I only gave this business 1 star because there wasn’t any option for 0 stars. I have been getting my hair braided in Atlanta for over 15 year’s so I know quality work. First off the people in the shop are very rude. I wanted to get microbraids with human hair. I was told they would supply the hair. They tried to use synthetic and pass it off for human. I agrued with the lady for 20 minutes about that hair until she finally admitted it wss a blend of human and synthetic. ??? I was adamant about still getting my hair done but I figured who could mess up microbraids? Hot mess. Well it broke all my hair off in a week and now my once natural healthy hair is damaged. My hair was down my back but since she was complaining that my hair was too long she stopped braing my hair where they felt like(which is dead lazy wrong). I should have known better because all the women working was missing thier edges with the exception of one who had a Mohawk. DON’T BELIEVETHEHYPE. Save your hair and money.

DONOTGOHERE! I REPEATDONOTGOHERE ! Got my hair done here a little over a month ago. Won’t be going back. Took my hair down and in the process of them braiding my hair, they cut the«string pieces» after braiding. Well when I took my hair down those«string pieces» was actually my hair. So now my hair is extremely uneven !! I will NEVER go to this place again !!!

I came across this shop about a year ago and decided to give it a try and had a good experience the first time. I found the owner, Loveline to be nice and pleasant. Went back a second time… myself and two daughters all got our hair braided in micros and my youngest, individuals but unfortuantely, that was the end of our good experience. My oldest daughter went several more times by herself to get micro or individuals and each and EVERY time, we had to go back the following day to have most of them RE-DONE because they were either, TOOBIG, or slipping out of her hair. The problem is, that there is NO consistency. Everyone one of them has there own way of braiding and if you have two or more people braiding your hair, you better believe you’ll be getting out of the chair looking a HOTMESS! This last time was the icing on the cake. My oldest daughter went back yesterday to have her hair braided(individuals). We didn’t realize how bad it was till this morning. The braids are all different sizes(multiple people were braiding at a time) and look more like BOX braids than individuals. I called Loveline again to complain. She was very rude, not willing to comprise and rather than try to fix the problem. She stated that we got our monies worth. Another issue with this shop, is that the price was NEVER the same. One time you go, it may be $ 140.00 for micro, then 2 months later its $ 160.00, I guess depending on what bill she needed to pay or something. Braid shops are a dime a dozen and I will never go back. Like everyone else I’m sure… if you pay for a service, you expect to get what you pay for. This is strictly my opinion and my personal experience.

My homegirls referred me here to get my hair sewed in because I always pay so much everywhere else. But loveline did a good job and it is so tight. I can’t wait to get a new one. They are always having specials too.

I sent my god daughter here to get her hair braided. I loved the hair styles and it lasted long. The price was reasonable and worth every penny.

So, I got micros braids done by someone at another location & less than 2 weeks later I wasn’t satisfied with the work and I needed the braids OUT of my head. I trusted Unilocal to point me in the direction of an African braiding shop that was close to my house. I believe this was the second place I called. I decided to come here over the first because the price was way better.($ 20 less for the exact same work). It wasn’t about«quality» because I was getting braids removed. I called three days ahead and made an appointment for 430. The reason why I’m giving them 4 stars is because my braids weren’t taken down u til after 5p. I made an appointment for a reason and if the shop was behind, someone should’ve let me know. I didn’t leave because I definitely needed the service was but I was a bit perturbed. They also speak in a language that isn’t English most of the time, which can come off as rude but whatever. Speak in your native tongue. I just came for a $ 40 service. The job was done efficiently and effectively. I was satisfied in the less than 2 hours it took to have a head full of micro braids taken out, but I couldn’t help but think that if they’d started on time, I’d have been out a half hour or so sooner than I did leave. While I was getting my hair done, I got to see the work of the shop. One girl got no-knot cornrows, some others for individual braids going down their backs, another older woman got tree braids and I saw another woman get a set-in taken out. Their works seems to be legit and if I want some braids in the future, I may come here and let them do it.

Ok so I’ll start off by saying. hmmm I won’t go back. I went into the salon. I didn’t care that it was small and not clean. I was more so annoyed by the amount of people waiting. On top of that I had an appointment and was seen 30 minutes after the set time. That’s only because I spoke up and demanded that I had an appointment and that my time should be honored. There are about 10 – 12 women braiding the hair at the salon. During busy times only one person will braid your hair, and as the salon gets less busy they will double up. Taking it a step further. They acted as though they only had one color of hair for me to chose from for my ‘highlights’. I’m thinking, that’s BS look at all the weave you’re putting in these women’s hair in the salon and you’re going to tell me you don’t have any other colors you can put in my hair. urghh That sucked so I had to settle. So after I waited 30 min for my late appointment it takes the lady another 30 minute to separate the hair and prep. I got box braids and it took them 6 hours flat. That’s with one woman for 3 hours and 2 women for 3 hours. Crazy. ya One thing I warn you that I give myself a ONESTAR for not doing is to SPEAKUPIFTHEYAREBRAIDINGYOURHAIRTOOTIGHT. omgosh. I was in straight misery for an entire week. The final product. Yes, I do like my hair. But this is what pissed me off the most. I was one of the last clients still in the shop at 11:00pm. The woman was tired and started rushing to finish as a result. I leave the salon WITHANUNEVENLENGTH. I even asked another girl in the salon if it was straight and she swore up and down it was. I get home and look in the mirror and my hair is completely slanted in the back with one side at least 4 inches longer than the other. Not to mention the amount of money I paid to get the braids done. Mine cost $ 200. Due to all the reasons above I wouldn’t recommend this salon for Professionalism WHATSOEVER. No one in the salon was rude. One girl talks French, or whatever she was speaking, the entire time it’s like will you HUSHHHHHH. They play African films on rerun the entire time you’re there, so much for the news. The woman who did my hair was very nice. The owner is nice but gets about 50 billion business phone calls from clients in an hour and when she’s doing your head and speaking right in your ear that is VERY annoying. She strictly needs to be managing her shop, in my opinion. No problems with her however. I’d only recommend this salon for the end result IF they leave you looking good with a decent style that is EVEN. Other than that you’ll be miserable. My 2 Star is because after everything my hair still looks ok, but I can get the same thing and better service elsewhere.

Glad to know not the only one who have problems with them constantly snacking and always taking about someone at the same time. It has been a few months since I we nt there and my twists did no t last for more than two weeks. I had to discourage a friend from going to their shop.

They speak in their language the entire time braiding your hair. They’re not gonna waste any money on a light bill, since it’s hot… they leave the damn door open. Ugh! One thing I can say is my braids were almost flawless and tight as hell. DEFINATELY going to last a while. Not really cheap either. Small cornrows were over $ 100.

I appreciate the cost effectiveness of the shop, but they could definitely improve the cleanliness of the space and comfort of the chairs since you have to sit for so long. There are at times children of the stylists running around, fighting, crying, and what not… definitely not my idea of a good way to spend 4 – 6 hours of my day. HOWEVER, that aside my Senegalese twists were beautiful, but overtime started to slip out or untwist. Not sure what could’ve changed that?

What a waste of time and money. All i wanted was some regular cornrows. I am natural and need a style until my hair grows longer, its a little under shoulder length. Well my hair was a little tangled and the woman doing my hair was not detangling it at all, she parted it and braided it just as tangled as it was. And she did such a sloopy job. Theres hair sticking out from all sides. she didnt braid it in right, she did it fast and didnt care at all. She just wanted to take my money. I gave her a tip(not knowing how sloppy it looked in the back) but once i got into the car and saw how ugly it looked in the back i regretted even going here. how are you a braid shop when you cant even braid regular cornrows.

My hair was braided here the day after the Atlanta storm debacle. They. were fast and did a great job. I have a few complaints on customer service such as eating while braiding my hair, talking about me the client in another language. These are annoying and rude attributes of any business. There was also miscommunication on service and the accurate cost. What I would suggest if getting your hair braided is to go first and have them look at the length of your hair so they won’t any issues. I bought my own hair but they do have hair available. I won’t say much more because I plan to return in the future so I’ll save my posts for then

I have been coming here for 9 years and no one and I mean no one has been able to braid my 24 inches of natural curly hair flat and give me a weave without bumps or lumps until I came here. I am probably the pickiest person on the planet when it comes to my hair with a diva attitude at best.(Hey at least I’m aware of it). The owner will do everything to assure customer satisfaction. All of the stylists are great. The cost is well below the quality you get. I highly recommend this salon for weaves or braids. The only caveat is u just get an install… no style or cut… But there is great Dominican salon next door… And for the price of their sew in… if u complain ure just simply selfish and ungrateful haha.
