I don’t know how well Pack-Rat treats their customers but I can tell you how they treat neighbors of customers. Not well! A pod was dropped off at the curb across from my driveway about 10 days ago. The street is very narrow so the presence of the pod blocked me from backing out of my driveway to drive north up my street. It also narrowed the street to the extent that trucks could not pass. I called the police but they told me that despite numerous 911 calls from my neighbors, there was nothing they could do. The pod was legal. They suggested calling Pack-Rat to find out who rented the pod then ask the renter to get the pod moved a few feet. I called Pack-Rat but they refused to give me any information. The fact that the pod was blocking me and causing a hazard on the street was totally irrelevant to the rep. He said that they never give out information. So I asked if he would contact the renter and get my message to the renter. This request would have protected the privacy of the renter while helping me to alert them to the situation. But no, Pack-Rat refused to do that either — and then hung up on me when I told him the police had been called and asked to speak to a supervisor. If you are a sociopath and don’t care about anyone else’s problems then Pack-Rat is the company for you.

I used 1−800-PACK-Rat last year to move from the Clearwater area to the Atlanta area. I was happy with the whole experience. My entire household was in storage for eight months until I found where I wanted to settle. I went to the storage area twice during this 8 months to retrieve items out. I called the day before I wanted to go and it would be ready the next day for me to get into. The staff at the storage location were all very helpful and friendly. Another item worth noting was I found nothing broken or damage in this 500 mile move. I cannot say enough about how pleased I was with the service I received.
