Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill

I ordered fish taco Tuesday special. Kitchen is slow & fish is dry & stale. Won’t go there again

I cannot believe it,. Today I called during lunch time to place an order to go and the phone clerk said they were really busy and asked if I could call back later. I said no, I would like to place my order so I can pickup. She said, but we have a lot of orders and it will take too long. She once again asked if I can call back. I just hung up. I don’t care how busy you are. Take my friggin’ order and just let me know when I can pickup! That is horrible service and I’m embarrassed for Rubio’s.

I’ve tried this Rubio’s twice and both occasion I’ve walked away disappointed. Recently I ordered a shrimp burrito and mid-​way through pulled out a long black hair. That’s a deal breaker for me and about lost my meal at the table. Its smells odd, the kitchen is slow, and the food is not at the level of other Rubios. I’ll never return to this location again.

I Love Rubios for the tacos. The tacos are awesome. But this particular location was unpleasant because of the person who was the cashier and served the food. I think she was the manager because she was dressed in dark manager uniform. She’s the African American woman who smiles and greets everyone friendly. She was nice on a previous occasion before this unpleasant one. When after choosing the tacos on my order, I said and pointed at lemon desserts in a regular normal tone, not in a condescending way. She then snapped in an angry standoffish tone, «Which is one is that?» Whatever baggage she has in her personal life or If she looked hard/​perceived how I ordered in a wrong way, she should always her professional bearing, especially with customer service. She wears her emotions on her sleeve. And when she delivered my food without the gourmet shrimp taco, I asked, «can I get my gourmet taco?» She had a grimaced look and sighed with disgust. Later on, she had a fake smile and asked if if everything was fine; it was pretentious and not genuine at all. The good taste of the tacos wasn’t parallel with the unfriendly treatment. I havn’t been back since. If she is reading this, she can’t say I’m saying this out of prejudice. No, I have an aunt who is jamaican-​african and a niece who is half African-​american. I’m saying this because the taste of the food is excellent and restaurant shouldn’t be tainted with bad service representation. If she was the manager, they shouldn’t deserve that position. I’ll still continue going to a Rubios, just not that one.

Very good place to eat after the menu change. Good menu selection and great choices for a low calorie meal. The overall food could use more flavor. Also the service was a little slow.

Wonderful food, love the new feel since they remodeled and updated menu. The customer service here is great!

I decided to give them another try… Big mistake food is overpriced. $ 27 for a burrito and two tacos, which had no flavor, over cooked and hardly any meat in them. Disappointed!

I love this Rubios. This one is my favorite!!!
The dinning room is so clean and adorable. It looks like it was recently remodeled. There is a large long bar kind of table in the middle of the restaurant. It must seat like 20 people; it is super cute! This location is good for functions or fundraisers because of the layout of the dining room. The fresh salad bar and soda machine are in a good place too. There is a large out door patio as well. Plenty of clean places to sit! The natural lighting in the restaurant is good too.
Vince was working when I went there for lunch. He took my order. Such a nice guy! He was so genuine and I appreciated that. He made it a point to learn my name and addressed me as so during my visit. Very refreshing when people treat you like a human instead of just a regular old customer. I felt like I was welcome and was at home. The service at any Rubios I go to is usually outstanding. Everyone is so friendly to be at work.
It was nice that vince served me at my table with glass dishes and actual silverware instead of plastic. The white dishes are also very cute and pleasant to eat off of! Why does food taste better on nice dishware!!!
The food is always amazing at any Rubios that I go to. Their fish tacos are MY FAVORITE. I was in a battle between Rubios and Wahoos… but I decided that I love the original fish tacos here. It pairs perfectly with the salsa. SO YUMMY I’M OBSESSED. I’m watching my calories so I also got the black beans which is also pretty good. Again, I have to pair it with the salsa. Sometimes I get the bean and cheese burritos which are also amazing!!! They have a good selection of deserts. Their brownies are my favorite… very dangerous and addicting. I’m sad I can’t eat them as often as I want.
Again, this Rubios is great and I am going to come back very soon!

I’ve really only had their fish tacos on Taco Tuesday, but they were yummy! For it being a chain Mexican food pace, it really isn’t bad. And having decent inland fish tacos is a plus too.
The staff seemed super nice at this location when I was there.
One downside (mainly if you or you’re with someone handicapped) is the parking. It’s a little lit shared with a few different shops. So it’s not always guaranteed to get a spot that works well for a disabled person.

They always have the freshest food and great service. I like the chopped salad with mahi. Served in real dishes it is quite refreshing. The triple taco trio is my husbands favorite. We are always greeted with smiles and the service is good for a fast food resturant. Also there beer is really cold.

I love Rubio’s…but not this one! My Fish Taco Especial Combo was ICE COLD and the drinks taste weird. Drive a little more to visit the Corona Rubio’s because this place is not worth it!

Not the best… We paid so much money for a 4 oz bowl. We also ordered tacos with guacamole and sad to say no guacamole was added. Severely disappointed. $ 25 later no guacamole and 3 beans, 5 pieces of lettuce 3 slices of avocado, and a pinch of chicken. The Mexican place across 15 FWY was way better

I was very disappointed in my meal this evening. The side dishes are horrible the beans are flavorless and the rice was hard and crunchy. The tacos are mediocre at best. a little soggy by the time I got to the last bite. pretty sure I won’t be returning anytime soon.

This is a great Rubio’s location. Right by tons of shopping, plenty of easy parking.
Staff is nice and the food always great.
I love their balsamic roasted veggie salad, get it every time. The salsa bar is great, kids meals with a churro are good and my husband loves the street tacos with steak and bacon.
My only gripe is the portions are pretty small, two tacos run about $ 8 and are tiny, you could eat about 10, just not at that price.
