Ballards Saddle Tack & Western Wear

Tom is fantastic! I went to Norco in search of a saddle for my first horse in over 20 years. Stopped down the street first hoping to find an affordable used saddle. Couldn’t find anything that would fit both me and my horse.. Disappointed, I left. As I was heading down 6^th Street on my way back to Long Beach, a friend suggested Ballard’s. So glad she did! Hand crafted, made right here, no imports, no cheap material, no plastic, no fiberglass. Lifetime warrantee. Layaway available!

Ballard’s is now located in just one building, the street front location.
It was once a 3 store enterprise in the «Norco Ranch Market» shopping center. They were all separate units as a Boot and Hat store, Saddlery and Tack, then the Western Wear unit. The Boot and Hat store folded after a year or so, and was incorporated back into the Western Wear store. Just this year, Ballard’s saddlery & tack store closed it’s doors, and moved most of it’s inventory into the western wear store too.
I hope the now existing store is able to stay open during these tough economic times, that our nation, state and city are all going through. If it does fail, it certainly won’t be from lack of trying, on the manager’s part. A kind, determined woman operates the store 7 days a week. She serves in the all necessary roles as an dedicated employee, with exception of one leather craftsman at the redesigned location.
All the compressed space of 3 stores in one, she certainly has her work cut out for her. With Norco Ranch Outfitters, and Boot Barn just up the street, it will be hard to remain competitive in such a small space. I hope with loyal customers support, Ballard’s can remain a local business for years to come.
The Ladies’ clothing here is a pleasantly different variety, in comparison to the other two competing stores, and normally has lower pricing than both. You may have to go through the clothes folded on racks to find «that» shirt, but Ballard’s has some of the cutest ones! I like their Twisted Wire brand boots, I buy here whenever another pair bites the dust.
You can also find unique, horsey gifts and jewelry items, that make wonderful presents for that equine crazed person, or treat yourself!
