The service at this restaurant is ridiculous. First time I’ve ever left a zero tip. Forgot to bring our drinks, had to track them down, didn’t get our soup, didn’t get any silverware, never got a refill. The owner always blames the waitstaff, she never takes any responsibility for the horrible service. Never again.

Nice place, clean and well decorated. Sushi was excellent! I ordered Korean spicy chicken Bulgogi and it was amazing! Came out fajita style on a sizzling plate. I highly suggest visiting!

The sushi is good but doesn’t always taste fresh. One time I went we waited 45 minutes and then asked where our food was, they said they hadn’t even started cooking it yet as they wanted to finish carry– out orders first. The management needs work and they can be kind of rude. Sometimes you’ll get a good waiter or waitress, but it’s not often.

Let me start by saying that the sushi was actually really good. It was the rest of the experience that warrants a terrible review. Due to a poorly written«specials menu», and a waitress who had only been there two days, we ended up ordering a much pricier selection than we intended to. By our calculations, we had been overcharged $ 10. I first pointed it out to the waitress, who had given us the wrong information. She kicked it up to the sushi maker, who then passed it on to the manager/owner. That’s when it got hilariously ugly. We pointed out what we thought we were ordering, and told her that we had specifically asked the waitress about it. She asked me what I would like done, and I said I’d like my bill adjusted $ 10. She walked away, saying no, no, no. She walked back, argued some more, and asked several more times what I wanted done. My response was always the same. She kept walking to and from our table, muttering about how she couldn’t believe this was happening and that we were trying to take advantage of her. I was tempted to just walk out, but knew she could call the police. Apparently she thought that even a little kid would’ve been able to read the menu correctly, so why couldn’t we? My daughter-in-law and I are college educated women and, I assure you, we are not stupid. She left us just sitting at our table for 10 more minutes until I finally got up and told my daughter-in-law I would just pay the dang thing. I asked the manager/owner if it was worth losing two customers over $ 10 and that I intended to file a complaint with the BBB. She said whatever. She finally took $ 5 off our bill. I am never, EVER stepping in that place again. She was scary. You kind of had to be there to fully appreciate just how much.

Have been here a few times with the kids. This is where we go to get sushi for my elementary school age children because the prices are a little bit more reasonable and they are a little more kid friendly than some of the other places. However, we went here for a date night with another couple and ordered the largest sushi boat they offer for $ 95. I would not recommend the«Titanic 3» and would order lots of sushi rolls instead… Which would have been more filling and less expensive.

We tried this place for the first(and likely last) time today. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, the spicy crab roll, the lobster roll, and the rainbow roll. Of the four, the lobster roll had the most and best flavor. It was the favorite of our order, but as far as sushi goes, sub-par at best. Our order was to go, and we were shocked to find that the typical accoutrements normally included with sushi rolls were completely absent. No pickled ginger. No wasabi. No soy sauce. Just plain rolls. The spicy tuna roll was noticeably absent of either spice or flavor. If anything, the tuna tasted like it had gone bad. The spicy crab roll was pretty much the same as the tuna roll. No real flavor. It could have just been a rice roll for all we could taste. The rainbow roll… was rotten. Not rotten as in I didn’t like it. Rotten as in the fish should have been thrown away 5 days ago. Even if it wasn’t, I’ve never seen such plain looking rolls before. It was like some guy said, «Hey, I think I can open up a sushi place and get rich!» The lobster roll had no lobster in it that I could find. It looked the same as the spicy crab roll, except that it had some eel sauce drizzled on it. That’s probably why we liked it the best. The sauce had the flavor all the other rolls lacked. Quite frankly, we would opt for grocery store sushi instead of Rice and Roll any day of the week.

Food wasn’t bad but the service was HORRIBLE! Ordered a kids meal for my 1 and 4 year old to split(they don’t have the appetite of a 10 – 12 year old). My wife even pointed at the item on the menu and said that the kids would split it, but instead she brought out a full adult order. She messed up and apologized for it then offered to do nothing to fix her mistake. We ordered salads and the waitress forgot until after the meal was brought. We told her we no longer wanted them, to which she responded that she had to bring them anyway!!! We said no but they were still on the bill. We finally managed to get them taken off but still paid $ 14 for a kids meal. If I didn’t have a Groupon for the ticket, I would have complained more. I did look for a camera though because it felt like we were being punked. Lesson learned, we will not return…

Incredible experience! I will become a regular here for sure. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. We had the $ 10 lunch special. The service was unheard of in this area. I am a paramedic and my partner and I got a call shortly after ordering our meal. When we returned shortly after, they gave us an extra roll because we were not able to eat our sushi immediately after ordering it. Our waitress was very personable but not around to the point that I felt the need to shoo her away. 5 stars from me!

Great sushi/Asian restaurant in Nixa. The Spicy Crab Roll is tasty, my sons liked the California Roll and kids’ Chicken Teriyaki, and my wife’s Chicken Bento Box was full of goodies. If you aren’t in a hurry and are looking for an enjoyable local place to dine, I recommend Rice and Roll. We’ll definitely be back!

Good sushi. Very good sushi. I’d give the sushi 5 stars if I could. Service — needs help. Waitress was way too chatty about her personal life. We knew more than we wanted to… Some of the staff was well dressed and clean. Others were in tshirts. Don’t care either way but be consistent. Yes? The food service was good on timing and it was visually appealing as well. Loved the Spicy Yum Yum roll. We had the sushi dinner special and was very happy with the amount and cost.

Our food was okay– nothing special. The service was awful. Ordered a Michelob Ultra– she asked if that was a beer. Ordered a Bud Light– they did not have any. I ordered gyoza for an appetizer and our server returned with an odd SpongeBob looking dish. She didn’t know what it was and neither did we. I got chicken teriyaki and mu husband got a bento box. My dish was pretty cold but tasted okay. His California roll has some very suspicious-looking substances in it. Overall, we were there two hours and didn’t leave satisfied.

Sushi was good –service was terrible. Poor girl did not know anything. Asked her what kind of wine they had and she said. «A lot». She couldn’t name a single one. Asked for bud light. She said that they only had two left. Whew. Hard to catch a buzz here. Thought I would watch the game since there was a nice tv hanging above my table. Fail. Only get one channel, golf. Saturday night and only 2 bud lights in entire place. Just can’t do it. Want to support Nixa business but won’t go back. Might be good if you like golf and don’t drink. Buzz kill.

Food was sub par at best. Didnt. Even get one meal. Service was slow but she told us she was new. I can accept that. Soup was cold, salad barely there. Sushi was good, but tried to talk to the manager, she never came. Food came sporadically. We just paid and left and my wife never ate. Waited 45 minutes for veg tempura and ended up canceling cause it never came. I ran restarants for 20 years, would still like ti talk to the manager.

If you live anywhere in the Springfield/Ozark/Nixa area and you like sushi(or even if you have not traditionally been a big fan like myself), you really need to bring yourself to Nixa and try some of the sushi dishes at Rice and Roll. Look them up on Facebook or Unilocal.They have only been open a week, so they are still easy to get a table at. But, as good as their food is(and as cheap — none of the sushi dishes were over $ 9 that I tried tonight), this place should be filling up fast. They also have Teriyaki dishes, Katsu dishes, and wonderful Bento Box meals. All of the meals come with Miso soup and Salad. Really, really good.
