The sales girls at the 35^th street (bet ⁶⁄₇ aves) store were very helpful. After not exactly finding the color I needed for a themed sweet 16 for my daughter, they offered to order whatever dress I was interested in. I was a little reluctant, as I wasn’t sure it would get to me in time for my daughters event.
But then YOONIE!, the stores manager saved the day! First, I want to say Yoonie held an alternate dress in another color for almost 3 days. Which stores wouldn’t do. So while that dress was on hold, I decided to let her order me the dress In the color that we needed. She was so concerned she RUSH DELIVERED the dress to me by UPS FOR FREE and texted me my tracking number and receipt. Not only did the dress arrive early, but it also came with a free shawl and a beautiful rhinestone bracelet! Not sure if that’s the case with all delivered items, but I couldn’t be more thrilled. My daughter is Finally at peace with her dress search for this event and we decided to take the blue backup dress that Yoonie so kindly held for future events.
Only thing I could suggest/​maybe having a little more selection in sizes L/​XL. Corset styles best!

After many frustrating trips to all the major department stores like Saks, Nordstrom, etc., my daughter and I stumbled upon Social Apparel on W 35^th St. Even though what they had on the window was too cheesy for our taste, I insisted on going inside and we found the largest selection on prom dresses in NYC at ridiculously low prices. They have it all! From super bling dresses to classic and elegant. My daughter ended up buying a beautiful sweetheart neck, chiffon, pastel pink long gown that fits her perfectly. The service was outstanding and they have accessories that you can’t find anywhere else: wedding veils, rhinestone combs, false eyelashes, etc… This is a one stop store that everyone on a budget should seriously consider checking out.

I’m not sure if this is the right store, but I after an interview I wanted to do a little bit of shopping before I went home and since I was taking the train, I looked around for some nearby places. I know there’s a really good Social Apparel store in Manhattan Mall, but the one near Penn Station on 34^th or 33^rd street was a huge waste of time. It was way too small and the prices where different from the ones at the Manhattan Mall. It was a complete waste of time to go there.
