Tried this Italian restaurant yesterday, pasta-good! Barnes-good! Panini-good, desserts-good! It is BYOB, and service is good! Will come back soon!

I have been driving passed Fellini’s on West Chester Pike for some time now. Today I decided that it was time to stop by and have lunch here. The lunch prices are great, most meals average around $ 10. They offer a good selection of choices for lunch… pasta dishes, antipasto, salads, pizzas, paninis etc. I opted for a Panini– the«El Patrizio». Which consisted of grilled chicken, portobello mushrooms, spinach and provolone. When I think of a panini, I picture a sandwich all melted together with grill marks on the sides of the bread. This was more of just a normal sandwich on nice thick bread. It also came with lettuce, tomato and onions on it, which I was not aware came with the panini. The sandwich tasted good, just not what I had expected. It came with a side salad(great honey mustard dressing) and homemade chips(favorite part of my meal). I left full and satisfied. I felt that I definitely got my moneys worth out of this meal. I would return!

My wife and I finally had an afternoon away from the kids and we decided to go here. What a treat! The food was AMAZING. The best tiramisu I’ve had in a long long time. The service was friendly and fast. My chicken parm was lean and delicious. Our fried calamari was perfect.

Two things you must get here are their grilled calamari and the antipasto appetizers. I’ve been here a few times and I have never gone without these two staples to start off with. All entrees seemed like a safe bet and their attentive service is lovely. The staff seems to want you to be able to enjoy your meal and I have never felt pressured to hurry up and leave.

Only reason I came back was due to a gift card. Service was just as horrible as it was 3 years ago.

I had a similar experience as others on here: food is consistently excellent with generous serving size, but service is iffy. I like the host guy who always greets people in Italian… but our waitress this time was really grumpy and condescending and treated us as if we were being too demanding by asking for cheese… she really upset me, made me want to leave, but the great food made up for it. I would def give this place at least four stars if it weren’t for the iffy service we’ve generally had there(been like 5 times).

Awesome place. If you like lasagna there is no other restaurant that compares. Service is on point and friendly. I love it when the owner/manager greets you, seats you and busses tables! Italian food at its best!

Newtown Square Italian eatery good by suburban standards. Ordered the arugula and goat cheese salad no dressing and bronzino. I guess I should’ve asked the prices as the salad $ 12 and bronzino $ 24 a little expensive for just better than average food. The fish lacked flavor and texture and was covered in squash slices. Next time I’ll just ordered something off the menu. If there is a next time.

Ok. so lwriting about Fellinis in Newtown square. .went there tonight on recommendation of friends. food was very good… had brozino fish. Very good… just not sure about the staff… found waitress very condescending… and then the staff was giving us evil eyes for hanging on at table when they obviously wanted to go home… but this was before 9:00 at night. .felt very uncomfortable so probably won’t go back

Mediocre food coupled by horrible service. Dined with my in-laws and 87 year old grandmother. I have never been to a restaurant that requested we leave to accommodate another reservation(less than a 2 hour meal!). We will never be back despite proximity to the main line.

Arrived here last night with my party of 4 only to find out that I had made the reservation at another restaurant. I was panic stricken not knowing where we would be able to get dinner on a Saturday night. The manager quickly told me that he would figure out a way to get us seated. I wasn’t sure if we would have to wait all night since there were many other people waiting. After a short wait he lead us to our table. We were promptly greeted by a friendly server who opened our wine and read us the specials. Three of us decide to try the fish special and were not disappointed. A few of us had dietary restrictions and were easily accommodated. The servings were large and delicious. At the end of our meal, the manager stopped by to check in. We assured him that everything was wonderful and we will definitely be back soon!

Best Italian food in the area, hands-down! It can be tough trying to get a table at times and it’s a BYOB, but for the food alone it’s definitely worth a visit. They’ve got a huge selection of pasta dishes on the menu and I find them to be reasonably priced, I never feel like I just got hit over the head when I get the bill. The portions are big and everything always tastes really fresh with amazing flavor. On the weekends, when the place is packed I’ll order takeout and I’m never disappointed. You get the same quality, portions, everything is just like your sitting in the restaurant! They even throw a complimentary order of bruschetta into the bag, it’s a nice touch! The restaurant itself can get really packed and it can be a little tough if you’ve got small children which is why I usually end up ordering out. Otherwise, it’s a nice place with a beautiful décor and an attentive staff. At the end of the day, it comes down to the food and that’s why this place is a winner. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

The food was delicious and staff was very friendly. So much food! I had the Capellini Rustica and my wife had the Ravioli Bolognese and both were great. We’ll be back.

My hubs and I wanted to go somewhere local due to the crappy weather we’ve been having lately. We arrived @ 6:30pm just in time for our reserved seating on Valentine’s Day. I forgot that it was a byo, better luck next time. The restaurant is pretty small, but we were fortunate to get one of their booths :) They brought out complimentary bruschetta and bread…(bruschetta was blah, can’t complain since it was free!) We ordered the following: Apps: fried calamari: The calamari was nothing to rave about — some of the breading was falling off the squid and you can taste the«warm» plain squid. The marinara needed seasoning. Prosciutto salad– needed more dressing mixed in the salad, otherwise, it was ok. Entrees: my hubs had their lasagna– he said it was good. It looked very saucy, and I did take a bite – it was too drenched in sauce. I ordered the linguini with clams — -I’ve definitely had better. The linguini was al dente and had pieces still stuck to each other, and I tasted some grittiness to the clams. It also needed a dash of salt to taste, otherwise all I tasted was garlic and butter. Dessert: I ordered the Tiramisu and a cappuccino. I guess this was the best part of my meal! Overall, i felt that we, along with the other patrons were rushed to finish our food and rushing us out of the restaurant. If they paid attention to detail in their quality of food instead of focusing on how much they can bring in that night, we would have had a better dining experience. Would I go back? probably not.

I wish Fellini’s didn’t have 3.5 stars. They definitely deserve 4 stars or more. The food at Fellini’s is delicious. I am guilty of ordering the same thing every time but that’s just because I don’t want to forgo my choices. First of all the antipasto appetizer is one of the best I’ve had. The dressing on the salad is enough to bring you back to the restaurant. All of the meats and cheeses are fresh and plentiful. This dish is enough for two to share. My main dish is pasta with shrimp, scallops, zucchini and tomatoes. The price of the dish is $ 18.50 and the portion is huge. The grated cheese they offer to put on the top is even better than other restaurants… very fresh. The owner and the waiters here are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is in a shopping center so there is no problem finding a parking spot, and it is a BYOB. I think it is one of the top choices in the area. You should go.

Came here on a Friday at 630pm. Good food for the price. Byob. Friendly staff. Quick service. The wait started to build around 7pm. The carbonara and lasagne were very tasty. They give you bruschetta. We would come back again.

While we still prefer Fellini’s in downtown Media(not sure if they are the same owner or not — but the menus are very similar) we had a good experience — especially with Jessica, our helpful, friendly server. Fellini’s offers solid Italian(and lots of pasta) dishes. Salads and Antipasto are also good here. Crowded as heck on weekends — we squeaked in at 6:45PM on a Saturday and somehow lucked out — there was a line to get in minutes later. Love the Chicken with Eggplant in Aurora sauce(rich and fattening — but so tasty.) Decaf cappuccino for dessert was spot-on! As said before — BYOB — can get noisy from drunk and happy customers. Carbo-load!

I was back again — and will return as often as possible although the food and service are sometimes uneven. Why? BYOB, of course… not to mention the fact that it is very convenient to my company’s Philly office. The salads could benefit from less dressing. My husband and I both had the arugula salad, which is large and comes with large slices of soft parmesan pyramidding on top of the pile of lettuce. Fresh, good but I like the flavor of arugula and the dressing completely disguised it. The specials are always good and I order them more frequently than I order from the menu. My husband had the balsamic glazed grouper and pronounced it delicious — the glaze was both sweet and tart and the dish was accompanied by asparagus as well as a huge plate of vinegar. I had the raviolli special which was seafood raviolli in a cream sauce… good but not on the level of the grouper. That said, the ravioli is always good at Fellini.
