I hate when people write reviews and tell me what they paid. How do I know if you are Donald Trump or Donald Poor? Review the scene and the food and be done with it! Now that my rant is over… Carmines is not a hit, food is just okay and it appears they are already worried about all the new competition coming soon from the new restaurants being built up the street. Focus on what you do and do not worry about what you cannot control. They have had better days and I am sure they can have better days again in the future, they just need to get their focus back!

Very good pizza. Their ravioli dinner was very good and quite large. The sandwiches are high quality and the fries are perfectly good too.

My family shops Carmines about every 3 weeks. We have for the past 5 years dealing with their typically rude behavior. Today however, is the straw that broke the camel’s back. I ordered and picked up two of their average cheese steaks. My 80 year old mother then called and ordered the same. I immediately had her call and cancel the order; not only did they scream at her, they told her never to shop with them again! The poor woman was in tears! Good job Carmines! You not only lost a valuable customer, you also lost the business of everyone I know. Shame on you!!!

Not only is the food not that great but service was rude when I tried ordering. I asked a question and then the guy told me to hurry up with my order because he has too many customers. I’ll do him a favor and never be one again.

Had a very, very good pulled pork sammich, HOWEVER, some notes for future folks. They served pickles with the sandwich — two were light green and two were dark green. Whats up with that? I paid $ 11.49 for a pulled pork sammich with some chips, a small cup of cole slaw, and a bottled water. Seemed rather expensive. The server could have cared less if I ever frequented the store. As a person in sales, it befuddles me how a business can treat the customer with anything less than excitement!!!

Its been a while since we ordered take out from Carmine’s…now I remember why. Not only were the cheesesteaks we ordered $ 8.75, they had the nerve to charge EXTRA for fried onions. No other place I know of does this. I also mentioned to my wife how light the sandwich was on meat. I usually prefer light meat, but this was ridiculous for a $ 9 cheesesteak. Not to mention i pulled out several pieces of rubbery meat. Unacceptable.

We ordered our pizza for pickup. We were told to pick up in 15 minutes which we did. The pizza was ice cold. They obviously gave us an old pizza.

Worst take out experience EVER! As I arrived to pick up my dinner — the order was on its way out the door with the delivery guy! He quickly returned to say there was no address or name. Of course not! I was there to pick it up. When I retrieved it and got it home– sad to say pizza was ice cold and stale– salads pitiful-fries soggy! Don’t bother!

This was my first time coming here because my boyfriend said it was very good. IT’S TERRIBLE. The service was bad. The waitress was rude and over charged me for my food. I should of not paid 30 $ for a slice of pizza and cheese fries and sandwich, and two sodas. I will not be coming back. Also after I posted this review I received a message from someone that may or may not work at this estimate. I am just giving my review on my time at this restaurant and if you review is different then mine then so be it. This is a American and we all have the freedom of speech. I am not the best english speaking person or speller but no need to make me feel stupid. so thank you for pointing out that your better then me.

I have heard that the plain pies are good, as well as the other simple pies. Do NOT get the veggie pie… It’s a lame excuse for a pizza. The veggies are just thrown on top, barely integrated with the cheese. Altogether undercooked, and not enjoyable.

This place used to be the best it was always a little expensive but worth the money but the last couple times I ordered the family got cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks and there was hardly any meat in them. The last time we ordered we asked for doubled meat and ended up paying like 12 dollars a pop and there was still no meat in them guess they needed to make cut backs for that liquor license. Can’t go wrong with fresco upper Alfredo’s cut above or even sopranos down the street

This place is pretty bad. I went here with my family last week while visiting my folks in Philly. The pizza and wings were ok. The salad was pretty good but Greek dressing was horrible. My stepfather’s veal was a complete abortion. It had the texture of rubber and was completely unedible. The calamari tasted possessed and was over fried. I doubt my family will ever eat here again. They get 2 stars only because they made garlic bread for us that was not on the menu.

My family is a regular at this place and we have been going there almost every week. Great food, pizza and great service where Cindy and her sister always take care of us. The place is really nice after they renovated a few years back. The beer selection is quite extensive with a decent selection of seasonals on draft. It is a locals favorite place where you normally see families with small children, couples and teenagers just stopping in for dinner.

We have been here MANY times. This place is great. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. It is extremely family friendly. They have 3 – 4 high chairs for your toddlers and offer crayons for them. Everytime we go, there were plently of families with small kids, for good reason! There are TVs on the wall to watch sports while you eat for the dads. There is a FULLBAR people — full BAR! They also have take out service and beer to go for pick up on the right side of the restaurant. The PIZZA is stellar!!! We had the meat lovers and it was amazing. Thin crust, tops of thinly sliced toppings. My toddler loves their kids spaghetti. Their menu goes on for days. You can get everything from wings, gyros, pizza, cheesesteak, subs, etc. If you are in the neighborhood — its a must try if you want something good and easy. This is our family go to for an easy evening out with the baby.

Three credit cards were presented to the waitress after a pitifully serviced work lunch outing –a typical way to pay when we go out to lunch with coworkers. «How does this work?» Rude waitress explains. «Split it three ways», I said. «What’s the amount!» Rude waitress said. «I don’t know, that number divided by three, don’t you have a calculator or something?» I asked. «No, you have to figure it out.» Rude Waitress said. Waitress tried to figure it out in her head while I stare at her puzzled… $ 12… $ 12.20…(the amount was $ 48.57) Finally, someone pulled out their phone’s and gave her the number.

The pizza is pretty decent. A little greasy sometimes… Very cheesy though, if you like that sort of thing. I usually only go here at lunch since its right down the street from my job. Oh i did have their cheesesteak… I am pretty sure they just had the meat sitting on the side of the grill and then put it on a roll. They made it in like 4 minutes and it was cold. I still got for the pizza, because i like cheesy slices… But other than that… meh…

It’s not often you see a suburban pizza place with a full bar. If you haven’t been to Carmine’s in a while that’s what you’ll find. It was added as part of a remodel a year or two ago. So if you want, you can sit at the bar and order pizza by the slice along with your beer or drink. That’s just what I did about 5 pm tonight. Two Victory Hop Devils and a large slice cost me 9 bucks and change. The slice was decent and the beer was cold. Both are a good thing. The happy hour crowd was just starting to trickle in. I perused the large menu and noted just about everything you would expect in a large pizza joint. There are plenty of booths here along with about twelve stools at the aforementioned bar. I had a nice time but trying a full meal will need to wait for another visit. For now I’ll go with three stars and stop back again.

Ordered take out a couple times before. Meh… I’ve had better. Pizza is soggy and cheese steaks are dry. Service is always rude and short. Being there seems like an inconvenience for them. Called for delivery because they are one of the few that supposedly deliver in the area. Not so. Called to order food for delivery and the guy was an extra special rude. Gave my order and he said«yeah yeah» and hung up. I called back because I figured he may want an address to deliver to. «No man I got it! Just wait and you’ll get the food!» How did he get my address from from my brother’s cell? They must be really techno-saavy :) «K. Can I pay w…» *click*. I call back, «Can I pay with a credit card?» «Shit man, hold on…(on hold)…yo what’s the number?» Eek! Methinks not. I think I’ll try someplace else: P

Chicken parm pizza. Need I say more? Took down a few slices of Carmine’s Pizza for lunch, and was quite satisfied. Slices were warm, and of a decent size. The chicken Parmesan pizza was a pleasant flavor combination, and had a quality, crispy crust that was a pleasure to bite into. I sampled a slice of BBQ chicken pizza that had a sweet sauce that wasn’t bad — anyone who’s been to Franzone’s in Bridgeport can imagine what I’m talking about. Unsure of prices since I didn’t pay. Try Carmine’s today!
