I think the other reviewers have summed things up well: thorough exams, little waiting, doesn’t try to up-sell you, seems to know what he is talking about, seems to care, etc. Highly recommended. I’ve been going for about 5 – 10 years.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brodhead for many years. He is an excellent doctor and also a very nice person. His office staff(Ann Marie), who has also been with him for many years, is also great. His exams are very thorough, his rates are very reasonable(he also takes many insurances), and he has a relaxed and calming manner. He allows plenty of time for an appointment so you never have to wait more than a few minutes. He seems to know most of his patients by name and it seems many of them are long-timers also. I definitely recommend him as an optometrist and all-round nice person.

Dr. Broadhead is a gentle and kind man. He made me very comfortable and I felt the exam was very thorough. The office was quiet and calm and I was taken right away. He did not pressure me to purchase glasses from him either. Being that I am very disorganized I did not have my insurance card and it was my first visit. He let me go without paying and let me send my info in later with no problems at all. I am very grateful to have found such a great eye doctor.

I went to Dr. Brodhead for my annual contact exam at the suggestion of a friend. Not only was the office willing and able to work with my crazy schedule, but the office was great! I got there, and I didn’t have to wait. Dr. Brodhead did a thorough exam, and there was no crazy airpuff machine! The doctor is really nice and skilled, the office was clean, and even my copay was less than it normally is! Also, my insurance benefit for contacts has run out for the year, but I need more contacts now. I told Dr. Brodhead I’d like to go to Costco because of their prices, and he wrote me a prescription without even trying to force me to buy contacts from him, which is totally unlike my old doctor! I like when there’s no pressure and I can choose the retailer of my lenses! I was sort of considering new glasses, because mine are 6 years old, but he doesn’t really have a great selection of glasses(but I’m finding a lot of places don’t these days). Then again, I wear contacts 365 days a year anyway, so buying new glasses would be kind of silly.
