Submitting an unsolicited review for this office, and particularly for Dr. Riggert, who I’ve been seeing for a little over six months to examine the structural basis of depression/anxiety issues I’d been dealing with for years. To put it bluntly, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to seek out osteopathic manipulative treatment. As a clinician, Dr. Riggert is warm, personable, and highly creative in her approach to treatment– she’ll often take the time between visits to revisit the anatomy behind my concerns(I’ve got an odd combination of issues going on) in order to formulate a plan. The sessions themselves are enjoyable, relaxing, and(to me) highly fascinating, but most importantly, I feel I’m making an immense long-term investment in my health. Having also found the right combination of conventional medicine, nutrition, and exercise, I am continually amazed at how much change I notice in between sessions. While it’s easy to balk at the out-of-pocket cost of a session, when compared with the price(without insurance) for… literally any common medical procedure, it begins to seem a bit more reasonable, given the benefits. I had to go to the ER earlier this fall for an unrelated event, and, while the visit was entirely necessary at the time, I couldn’t help but find it a bit absurd that the billable value of ~5 minutes of service was roughly equal to the amount I’d spent, total, on osteopathic treatment(2⁄3 of which was later reimbursed by insurance). In short, osteopathy is an incredible modality of treatment, and my experience with Boston Osteopathic Health has been absolutely wonderful. Check them out– I highly recommend it.

Well, as a firm believer of combining a Western and natural approaches to healing, the office, associates and affiliates have not disappointed. The person answering the phone is not just professional, but very friendly as well. She does all she can to accommodate your appointment requests and even calls when there is a cancellation. Dr. Foley listens to your concerns and then begins to work his magic. For two days, there was no pain whatsoever in my body. It was an amazing feeling to just stroll without a care. My walk for those two days was without a limp, hunched over and/or grimace free. My treatment plan calls for just five visits. If he cannot help my injured back in the number of suggested visits, he was very clear with me, another more aggressive approach would be necessary. Wish me luck.
