Here for breakfast. Very reasonable, service was good portions were a little small but all in all the food was good. I got the western omelette and my son goetta omelette. I like mine my son loves those. We will be back

My first impression was unpleasant, I witnessed the chef humiliate a dishwasher blatantly in front of me. Service was slow. Only 2 women on the floor the entire night and no assistance from management. The food. $ 9 is way too expensive for 2 egg rolls. The spinach artichoke dip was expired it tasted sour and rotten. I loved my blackened salmon Caesar salad. My date’s chicken fingers were over cooked and dry, she had to ask for BBQ sauce just to make it edible, which also did not have a correct flavor. Our experience was also cut short due to a terrible off key band that began in the middle of our meal. We chose the restaurant due to a Groupon and we will not make that mistake again

I purchased a group on for $ 14 and got $ 40 worth of food/drinks so I was a little skeptical to begin with but have read many good things about this place. I ended up taking my wife, 9 yr old daughter and 16 yr old stepson. My daughter ordered chicken fingers and fries/wife the Buffalo Chicken wrap, stepson the NY Strip($ 17) and I had the meatloaf. Wife’s wrap wasnt bad, daughter’s chicken strips were not good, my meatloaf was good but very small. The worst was the steak they brought out for my stepson. He ordered it medium well and it was served overcooked and it looked about 5 inches long and ½ inch thick. After he cut off most of the fat he ate half and then couldnt finish. The waitress was so so, didnt really seem to want to be bothered with us even though there was only one other group in the entire place. She did take the steak off the bill after I complained. I had a couple beers, wife had one and we ended up getting out of there for a total of $ 22 after you figure the $ 14 I paid for the groupon, $ 4 remaining on bill and $ 4 tip I left. I doubt I go back.

Went there for dinner with friends and the food was great! I ordered the buffalo chicken lettuce wrap and the buffalo sauce was very flavorful. I also had a side of the blue cheese dressing(which was homemade) and it added that extra kick that was just right! During dinner there was a live band playing as well that played songs from all different genres and they sounded amazing! Service could use a little work(I.e. Accuracy of the orders) but other than that great ambiance and would definitely recommend!

The food was average(fish sandwich and fries) but some of the dishes I saw others getting looked great. The place had a great atmosphere with a band that wasn’t too loud and played good music. Really no vegetarian options, but a neat place with friendly staff.

Had breakfast, not too bad. Service was good, prices reasonable. The omelets were good, although the Western omelet had sausage which is not the norm. Get toast as the biscuits were dry and crumbly, I don’t think they’re made from scratch. All in all, we would go back.

I really like this place. Don’t come in expecting much and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It’s old and not super clean looking but the food is good. Home style made and has that fatty, yummy hangover flavor which is just what I was looking for.

Nice, homey feel. Good service. A group of friends and clients went out to see a Bluegrass band play. Order the PBR on a Tuesday and listen to live music. Didn’t order the food, but white bread sandwiches sure looked good. Anyways they brought out a table to accommodate us, so great service.

Had breakfast for the first time this morning. Service was pretty good for how busy they were, very friendly. Food was good, only complaint was the country ham. It was $ 2 more then bacon or sausage and was a little hard to even cut. Will be back again soon!

I went here for brunch on a Saturday and it was delicious! The bacon and home fries are really great, and their omelettes looked good too. The wait for the food was really long, but the servers were attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for something classic, because it’s exactly what you’d expect.

I’m not sure how many stars this place deserves. The atmosphere is different every time. The food is nothing special. The fries are my favorite. It’s pretty much an old timers place. Most people know one another. The music is mostly country and love songs, but it is rocking«so loud». It’s got to be difficult for the wait staff. There are usually two waitresses for the entire room. I can’t hear the person next to me much less the waitress. The presentation of the food is great, but, not so tasty. Anything with ground beef is gross. I hate when there are those grisselly pieces in my meat. I guess the best two things I’ve had there is the grilled pork chops and grilled chicken. I will say, it’s a great place for beer and appetizers and music, if you like it loud. The mixed drinks really aren’t their thing, but they have got pretty much all alcohol that comes in a bottle, they also got some new wines. Stop in for a drink and some entertainment most every night. The good thing is they are open late and they serve food till they close!

Was up all night writing and got hit with a hunger pang that screamed«breakfast» so, I checked for what would be a great place to eat. Unilocal recommended Sis’s on Monmouth so, 6:45 in the AM, off I go.(I live nearby so…) First off, the place felt welcomey(is that a word?) and the service was very pleasent. My order was quite inexpensive and downright delicious! Looking forward to getting dinner there with the wife soon. Thumbs up, Sis!

This place is definitely one of those«ma & pa» restaurant. They’ve got a decent selection of wines and beers. But what I really loved about this place is this blue grass band that plays on Tuesday nights. The meals aren’t «extravagant» or «fancy» — they feel like home cooked meals– something that I would go home and eat. Very well priced. Good portion sizes. The wait staff was very attentive and extremely kind. The only thing that I didn’t like was their blueberry cream cheese bread pudding– it was cold and hard. But as soon as I told them– they didn’t even ask questions, they just offered me another dessert. I had their chocolate meringue pie instead– needless to say, it was amazing!

I like Sis’s. It’s another local favorite among those in Campbell County. They’ve done some renovating and expanded the dining room to accommodate a stage area for when a band plays. They have a full bar. And of course they allow smoking. My least favorite thing, the smoking. But if you’re in the mood for cheap food, drinks and possibly some good live music, stop by.

Great place for a cheap breakfast. Unlike Gourmet Chili next door and Pepper Pod down the street, this place is smoke free inside.

I have been to Sis’s Family Affair several times for breakfast and lunch over the years. Food has always been good great service and low prices. Just what I would expect from a well run long term family business. So last night wife and I thought it might be fun to go have dinner and hear a Johnny Cash tribute band Folsom at Sis’s. Not sure how live music and dinner could mix in a place I remembered as being a tight space. for both. We were pleasantly surprised to see the enlarging remodeling that has been going on. We arrived during the warm up band found a table in a place that was comfortably full where we could hear the band and have some conversation. As usual our waitress was very attentive and the menu is comfort food and price friendly. I took the safe road with roast beef gravy w/mashed potatoes. Both were excellent the owner stopped by to check on us as did the Johnny Cash singer making us feel special. We had a great time for $ 20 including tip. The non smoking atmosphere was also a pleasant change since I was last there. We are already planning a return visit several of the upcoming bands are very good this is an up close and personal place to see a show. Kind of reminds me of another favorite in Cincy Arnolds. Music good great service. Plus I read about the Beef tips and onion in another Unilocal review that I need to try!

I came in here over the weekend to see a friend play there. Before I write this review, let me just say, I wasn’t sure what I was to expect, so I’m still not sure how I am supposed to feel about the place. With that said, here’s my raw reaction. Right on Monmouth, Sis’s is close to everything else, and doesn’t look like much from the outside, and isn’t much more on the in. Trust me, I love my dive-bars, I find myself at them more than nicer ones. It’s a large open room, which is cool, but not much as been done to the interior. I dunno, I guess I somewhat expected a little more«decorative character» from an old place that has been there for years. I went to order a beer and was a bit disappointed to see that they had the basic of the basic, and nothing more. Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller, Coors. End of story. Not everyone gets into the crafts(or even Corona), I get it. I might just still be sore at the look I got from the bartender when I asked if they had PBR. They have tables randomly set up throughout the room, so we grabbed us one and watched us some music. It’s just a very average drab Pepper-Podish place. Which would be cool if it were the Pepper Pod, but it isn’t. They have a bar, live music, and lists of events that go on during the month. Therefore, I would expect a little more. effort on their part to make the shoe fit the foot(proper use of that analogy? sure.) I’m not mad at the place, I just have no reason or desire to return unless it is to support a musician again.
