Our ribs and sides all came out cold. The ribs and sides also were pretty plain and didn’t have much flavor. Also had the wings which were much better. A little pricey for the portion. Waitress did a nice job. Overall the food just wasn’t anything to write home about. Doubt we’ll be going back.

We’ve visited this place twice with a Groupon. We’ve only visited for the food, never for live entertainment. The food is just ok. The meats are usually a generous portion, but the sides seem like they were cooked 2 days ago and reheated. I’m a hug fan of friend okra and theirs left much to be desired. Also, service is kinda crappy. This place has a definite country or rockabilly vibe too. We came in and took over the juke box and played rock, perhaps that’s why we got the so-so service. All in all, it’s a bit overpriced for what you get.

Please don’t waste your time or money on this dive bar. Only had typical fried appetizers which were nothing special. On a Saturday nite it was so overcrowded it was dangerous. Every member of the staff I encountered was rude. I give the befit of doubt when busy, but no way will I ever go back to this place. OFFTHELIST!

We have been here several times. The only issue we have had is that we have to ask the server/bartender for appetizer plates. Aside from that, the service and the food have always been great. We started coming here because of Groupon, and the food keeps us coming back.

Portion size on the pick 2 is definitely worth it. Crazy big, and with two sides. Burger had awesome beef flavor. Only drawback was flavorless Mac and cheese, but you can choose a different side. Just tasted like reheated yesterday’s Mac and cheese, I would go for the onion rings. Both apps were good– alligator eggs and pickles. Sauces with those were different and fit the dish perfectly. Great tap selection, but no beer menu to describe the selection. You just have to guess what you are ordering I guess.

Horrible service, mediocre food, and only the most basic of beers. Getting service was a once in a lifetime event, which made getting refills a task that was hardly worth the trouble. Even beyond that I’m willing to forgive poor service for good food, which Bourbon and broad also lacks. I was unfortunate enough to order the gumbo. The meal was $ 14, which is just an insult to injury. The portion size was for ants. The rice in the gumbo was crunchy, the sausage was passable at best, and the«biscuits» they serve with it are small in number, small in size, and even smaller in flavor. The«specialty» beers are alright. Nothing to write home about, and your waitress actually shows up it’s the only okay thing to order. Everything else on the drink menu is just regular domestic beer. I’d avoid this place at all costs, there are way better restaurants to eat at, and way better bars to drink at. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Awesome service from Jason for the drinks. And the food scooter made was absolutely awesome. I had the New Yorker and my hubby had«one bad ass burger with egg». We will definitely be back.

Came here for the first time on a Groupon… more than an awesome time! Super Bowl Sunday! The Briskets are da Bomb! Jason was able to handle the crowd AND give us extra attention. It really made for great time out of no where! Great food specials on Sunday and Thursday night! I so will be back… shut up and take my money!!!

I really wish I could give Bourbon & Broad a higher rating but I just can’t. I became aware of B&B after I saw their deal on Groupon. $ 20 worth of food for $ 11. My friend and I were intrigued by the concept and decided to try it. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great. We walked in around 6:30 on a Saturday evening and there were a few customers there. Upon walking in, I immediately felt the awkwardness of the place. The set up is pretty weird. When you first walk in, there are a bunch of tables and a stage toward the front, a bar in the middle, more tables in the back. There isn’t a sign prompting you to «wait to be seated» or to «seat yourself» so we awkwardly waited for someone to greet us. No one ever did so we sat down at a table toward the front. Still, no greeting or acknowledgement. After realizing that the table we chose was a little un-sturdy, we moved over to the bar area. We figured we might get more attentive service by moving to the bar area. While yes, the servers near the bar were more attentive, the service still wasn’t great. Again, awkward. No highlights about the menu were given, no warm welcome. Just strange. At that point, my friend and I really should’ve left but we had already purchased the Groupon and were starving. We ordered drunken shrimp to share, he ordered a shrimp po boy and I ordered grilled salmon. The drunken shrimp and po boy were okay. The salmon was severely under cooked and cold. I really should’ve sent the salmon back for being so under cooked but by this time, I was just done with the place. I really did not enjoy my experience at Bourbon & Broad. Because of the lack of good service and the under cooked and underwhelming food, I won’t be back again.

My first experience with this place was during last night’s gathering of the Bourbon Society of Greater Cincinnati. The group was having their monthly meet-up there. I liked the look of the place, but there was an air of «still taking shape» to what I was seeing. I don’t have anything bad to say, but I also can’t offer up a lot of spectacular. 3-star«A-OK» is a good rating here and I’ll explain why. It felt like B&B is right on the verge of a solid place to spend a lot of time, but not quite there yet. It’s part dive bar, part country western and part bourbon bar but aesthetically hasn’t decided on a direction yet. The lightning was a bit brighter than I was expecting for a bourbon bar yet a bit dim for a good dive bar. The open atmosphere of the main room made it a bit noisy given the crowd we had. Honestly, the whole place felt a bit like it was still in a soft open rather than a fully realized bar situation. There are edges to be polished and a cohesion that’s missing to the atmosphere that makes it feel very much like it’s a work in progress. The food served up during the meet-up by the bar was solid and the beer and bourbon selection was likewise great. That said it should be as we were in Kentucky where there is more selection to be had and served. There are two bars, but only one was active when we were there. Not all the taps were filled but the wait staff was great given the crowd present. I will certainly try this spot again and I think it’s a diamond just waiting to shed a bit of the rough. There is promise here, but it’s a promise not yet realized.

Came here because my sister’s favorite band from Nashville was performing and she wanted a sisters night. The only good thing I can say is that they had a way better beer selection than I was expecting! The bourbon selection was also extensive. However, I have to say this place is just not my scene. The music was so loud you couldn’t talk to anyone. The clientele is not my type. But if you’re a mom who dresses way too young for her age, or a creepy old man that likes to look at the younger girls(seriously that pretty much sums up every patron in the bar when we were here), then this is the place for you. As an added bonus, it was wear your pajamas night. About 2 people in the bar dressed for the occasion, and one of them was a woman wearing a Victoria’s Secret nightgown, which was just incredibly odd to me. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I’m not really sure where to start here, so I’ll start with the good, and give them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened, and every new place has kinks to work out. The Good: our servers were extremely friendly, sweet, and we never sat waiting for refills or felt forgotten. The Not-so-Good: My fiancée ordered the Po Boy, half shrimp, half oysters. What he got was a sandwich with just shrimp on it, and a cold one at that, with half the toppings missing. He was still hungry when we left. I ordered an 8 inch buffalo chicken pizza. The server came back and said they were out of the 8 inch dough, as well as chicken… I just sized up and got pepperoni. I’m about 99% sure the pizza I got came straight from a grocery store and was just popped into the oven. And I know my grocery store pizza. While we were there the table behind us asked for to go boxes, and were told there were none, but they could get paper plates and just stack them together to make a box… What? We also noticed their bottled beer selection was almost nonexistent. Oh, you’d like a Sierra Nevada? Sure, you can have one, but that’s the only one! We ate and left. We weren’t upset, we were slightly amused, but we probably won’t be back. I hope they get all their stuff in order soon for a smoother running operation, the space is really lovely and open.

Unbelievable!!! No white wine limited red wine. Staff pretty much clueless. Not even crowed and we waited 45 min for food. And not very good. For sure not New Orleans.

The place was dead when we went in for dinner one evening during the week. I had the pick two dinner with brisket and pulled pork, and hubs had the catfish platter. We started with the fried pickles. Pickles were pretty good, but molten hot inside of course. My BBQ was pretty good too but hubs did not like his catfish very well. He said it was fishy and the fillet they give you is more like a steak. I’ve never seen catfish served that way! They have a great selection of bourbon and beer on tap. We went in there one other night on a weekend and it was pretty busy but definitely a ‘meat market’ atmosphere. The place is huge, the area up front is kind of like a sports bar? There area in the middle is where the live music sets up, then you have the area around d the bar full of high tops. Maybe it’s some people’s scene, just not ours.

We got the Groupon coupon for $ 40 for four people. I only paid $ 22. Our whole family came with two children(aged 12 and 9 years). I didn’t know I was walking in to a pub setting selling beers with live music. We came in on Sunday at 6:30 pm. There were two customers. We were told to sit wherever we liked. My husband ordered Smoky Brisket Sandwich. It came with potato chips and pickle. He said he liked. My older one ordered Shrimp Po Bo(?) sandwich. The waitress repeated and wrote it down and brought oyster po bo. We thought it tasted weird and didn’t know why until i looked at the receipt. It said oyster not shrimp. It had sriracha hot sauce on it and it was over dominating. I ordered the trio salad-tuna and chicken salad with cottage cheese over the bed of lettuce. The waitress brought my order and said they ran out of tuna so the chef decided to give me extra chicken salad. She didn’t even come to me and asked if that is what I would like. The chicken salad tasted good. The bed of lettuce wasn’t quite what I expected. It was just a piece of lettuce. I posted a picture. I had to order extra side dishes to match $ 40 I paid on Groupon. The sweet potato fries was delicious. Cole slaw had really awkward taste. The waitress rushed cleaning our table. I wanted last three small pieces of sweet potato fries but she just took the bowl without asking if we were done. It was fun visiting different part of Kentucky.

I’ve only been here once, but it seemed like a really cool place! The band the night we went(didn’t catch a name) didn’t sound all that great, but my group still sang along and tried to make the best of it. The drink selections are nice. The food didn’t really catch my eye, but I had also ate before we came. My husband ordered something(can’t recall just know it was meat and BBQ of some sort) it smelt a little off to me, but according to him it was good, not delicious but it hit the spot. Our server was pretty attentive and super friendly. We heard they were expanding and making a patio(which according to Facebook) is about to open or is open… So I’ll have to go back and check that out. Also, if you’ve never been here and aren’t familiar your GPS will probably try and take you in circles, something about the address throws it off…

What a great place to eat, have a few drinks and get together with some friends. Their fried pickles are indeed the best I ever had. Awesome selection of draft beers. Service very friendly and helpful plus knowledgeable with the food and drinks.

Came here to listen to the band Radio Romance. We’re told that for our party of ten we had to be here with our full group by 6:30. Band didn’t start until 9:15. It seemed like an inordinate amount of time to ask us to be there that early. I guess it was their way of making up for the cover that we wouldn’t pay because we were there so early. Our server was darling and very polite. She took excellent care of us. We ordered the Irish Nachos. There was a lot of food for the price. We were very full. Too full to eat any more. Over all it was a good place but I personally hate waiting and I honestly didn’t really feel like drinking that much of that amount of time even before the band started to play. It’s worth a Saturday night out though.

First off the décor is cute. I had been there before when it was Little Nashville so I knew what it looked like and the setup. Its pretty much the same, but it works with the theme. Lots of barrels and wood with a country feel. Its cute. I cant speak to the bar selection because I didn’t drink either time, but it looked like they carried a large selection. As far as the bartenders they are also your servers. I loved the older ladies that were there the first time we visited; but the second time the younger girl seemed to be more interested in the men at the bar than me and my daughter. She wasn’t mean or anything just uninterested. Now to the important stuff; the food. It was a total 180 from the first visit. The fried pickles were delicious. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Thick cut pickles with a great batter. The batter reminded me of Long John Silvers. It came with a chipotle ranch, but I’m not big on chipotle so I just got a side of regular ranch. I would absolutely go back for just these! I got the shrimp po’ boy again. The first time it was dosed with tarter sauce, this time it said remoulade but to be safe I also got it on the side. Again I liked the breading for the po boy a lot. It was the same as the pickles. The shrimp was large and juicy, but the sandwich was dry. Even after I put the remoulade on top, I got a side of honey to pour on it to try to add some moisture. It was good, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. Lauren just went with wings, per usual. They were big and the sauce was good. She said she liked it and ate them all. I say go check it out. I have mixed feelings about it. I’ll go again since its so close to my house and those pickles were amazing. I like the atmosphere but for some New Orleans cuisine, I’d still head to Swampwater.
