Ordered a large catering meal and everything was fantastic– fresh flavors, great wraps, sandwiches, salads and sides, and everything was ready to go before I got there. Friendly and professional staff. I have been to the VAB location many times but this place just won me over.

I love, love, love taste! It has fresh ingredients, I have yet to have something I didn’t enjoy

I ordered a full size Beach Club. It wasn’t bad at all, but I’ve had the same for a smaller price tag. The bread is cut on a bias, so the ends are just corners of crust jutting out from the end of the sandwich, essentially giving you less actual sandwich that has fillings. The sandwich promptly fell apart the second I unwrapped it from the paper (a pet peeve of mine) Lots of interesting goods for sale though again pretty pricey.

Taste is DELICIOUS but it will break the bank. Way overpriced for the food you get… but you will come back for more. (Once a year with your tax return)
Seriously, the commonwealth is phenomenal. It’s pays to recreate their sandwiches at home. The specialty item in the store are overpriced, but it makes for a good time while waiting for your food.
I suggest going!

2 parts lunch restaurant, 1 part boutique grocery store, 1 part hip gentrified hangout. Taste made a great and quick lunch stop during the work day with a delicious and reasonably priced sandwich. The only negative I have is that the décor, ordering process, and general vibe of the place made me feel like I was in a cartoon about pretentiousness and «rustic chiq» culture.

My spot every time I get my hair done at Luxury Tress. Love the sandwiches, chips selection, and location! Everyone is so helpful and are always trying to make my experience a great one.

Taste. The first place we think of when we return every year to Hampton for a 2-​day concert.
I adore their sandwiches. Last year I had the Commonwealth («prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil on a rustic baguette «and this year I had the Freemason («chicken salad, hardwood smoked bacon, romaine, tomato on multigrain bread»). I loved them both. My boyfriend had the Commonwealth this year and I have to say it was just as good as I recalled it to be. It was a BIT on the oily side but otherwise delectable. They do not skimp on any ingredients.
The staff are always super kind and helpful when it comes to making decisions.
The store itself is fun to peruse while waiting for your food. They even had a table of cheese spread samples, all of which were yummy. We would have taken some home for the holidays if we did not have a four hour drive ahead and no cooler!

I’m going against the grain in giving this place only an «A-​OK» rating. Truth be told, what I had today was less than that, but I had been here before and had a better experience (but on both occasions experienced a bit of sticker shock).
I have a monthly meeting in City Center and generally hit up Aromas for lunch after. Wanting to do something a little different, I mixed it up and went to Taste. I was pretty hungry and the place was busy, so I decided to go for the sandwich that was featured on the board outside instead of taking the time to browse the menu. While the sandwich seemed to have everything specified it would on the sign, I just was not a fan of the way it was delivered. The «brioche bun» seemed closer to a hamburger bun– dry and bland. There was SO much ham and mayo and very little of anything else, not a good ratio and diversity in taste and texture of items. With chips and a drink it came to just over $ 10 (tax included). I just expect better for that price. I did like that there is an extensive variety of chips to choose from, so props for that.
Staff were all very friendly. As I was pouring my drink from the fountain, an associate cleaning took the time to ask me how my day was going. So sweet! The order and pickup process, however, I found to be confusing and chaotic. Atmosphere is fun, though, high ceiling and lots of natural light.

Fantastic sandwiches and soups, and the Signature Apricot Iced Tea is just wonderful. Everything was clean and fresh, and the staff polite and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

My go to place for quick meeting lunches. My favorite is the Chics Beach Cob Salad. This location is my favorite Taste in the area. The staff is always warm and friendly.

Just tried to call to place an order for delivery. It says they are open until 4. Girl answers and is talking so fast that I can’t understand what she’s saying. I asked to place an order for delivery and she asked «for tomorrow» and I said no today and she said something again to fast to understand, and then proceeded to hang up on me.
Had to call back to make sure I had the right number, another girl answers and says the opening line equally fast so I had to ask what number is this? She responded taste unlimited and I asked if they do delivery she says that they only deliver from 11 – 2. Which it says nowhere on the website. I told her that they shouldn’t hang up on potential customers. Will never eat here and is a shame because of the customer service I received.
They should be called Delivery Limited.

Suspect ingredients but tasty sandwiches. Salads are okay. At this price point I just expect some organic produce, wild seafood, etc. The avocado chips they were featuring on my last visit had yellow 5, msg, amongst others. In fairness they were tasty. The local sausage they sell is loaded with nitrites.
I guess the restaurant is aptly named… Taste is their clear priority. If Fresh Market opened a sandwich chain it would be fairly similar to this. Marketing and atmosphere make you feel like the food deserves this price point. The quality of the food could be upgraded to me though.
Overall I’ll be back… but Fin, sushi, and even Chipotle are more my speed. Some strategic changes could put them in that group.

We decided to try this place out for lunch because it was close to where we live. I got the crab cake sandwich and he got a turkey sandwich. I was shocked at the price… $ 25 for just the sandwiches (no sides) and a drink. The food was okay, but I am not willing to pay that kind of money for food that is just okay. It would have been cheaper and more satisfying to go just about anywhere else for lunch.

Fun staff! Great sandwiches! Taste is always consistent with the quality of food and service!

I consider myself a food snob. But I really enjoy eating at this place.. its a friendly and clean environment… and very inviting. The staff are just fabulous. this sandwiche the Northender it’s awesome. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent food and the butternut squash Apple soup was superb. Lots of chocolates and jams you would find at a whole foods or gourmet sandwich shop in Richmond. I could eat here every day.

One of my friends turned me on to Taste Unlimited years ago after surfing in Virginia Beach. I am so glad each time I stop in to reminisce! Great bread, quality ingredients and oh so many good things to go along with the meal. Definitely give Taste a try!

This was my second time going to a taste unlimited, my first was the Norfolk location. I was given a rewards card and the cashier at this location said they didn’t take them yet. I was perplexed and asked this is a rewards card, right?
A lady came up and asked if it was registered with a phone number and took my card then. She then explained that their system has not been updated yet, but the Norfolk and another location has been.
That irritated me, I’ve worked customer service and you generally don’t «roll out a program» until all your locations are on the same page to avoid confusion.
Other than that, the half northerner sandwich I got was tasty and not dry. So far there has been a consistency with the quality between them. I will be coming back, but I think I’ll get a wrap again because you don’t seem to get much bang for your buck with half a sandwich.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches, and lots of great gourmet retail options as well.
Everything on their menu looks and sounds amazing, so it’s tough to make a decision. I ended up choosing the crab cake sandwich and Graham ordered the roast beef.
Both were wonderful. The crab cake sandwich was a little heavy on the aioli, but I’m not a sauce person. Once I scraped a little off and could actually enjoy the flavor of the crab cakes, it was a great sandwich. The brioche roll it was served on was amazing.
Graham’s roast beef sandwich was HUGE and so good. It was slightly spicy, thanks to the horseradish and was packed with flavor. The roast beef was fairly rare and the havarti paired with it perfectly!
Taste has a great selection of wines, gourmet foods & gift items. Besides our lunches, we also left with salt water taffy & a bar of Seattle Chocolate (cake batter flavor!!!).
