I just realized I have never reviewed my absolute favorite gyro place on the Peninsula. Fries not worth getting(they are fine but would be 3 stars) & I don’t vouch for anything else, but their beef & lamb gyro is fantastic and shaved fresh off the spit. I try to eat here once a month. We always just call ahead and pick it up. I think I’ve eaten in the place once. It’s fine if you do, just not nice, Not many tables(although they are almost always empty) & atmosphere reminds me of a restaurant outside the states(not in a good way unless you like a skeevy Mediterranean restaurant you’d do shady deals in). Owner is not the most personable but he’s nice enough as long as you are nice to him. I think he deals with some rough patrons. I have literally said, «I think this gyro has too much meat.» Who says that about a gyro? You’ll notice there’s a lot of negative in this 5 star review. The gyro is that good.

This owner had the worst customer service skills I have seen in a while. He barked at me while placing my order over the phone. I ord. 2 hrs. in advance and it still was not ready at 8pm. The fact that there were no other customers in there should have told me something. I ordered a genoa salami sub and wings. The salami was the cheapest quality meat I ever tasted. Yuk! He talked on the phone in another language the whole transaction and did not even thank me for spending my hard earned 18.00 + dollars. I would NEVER spend my money there again.
