I made an appointment for refraction only and to purchase two pairs of glasses. After filling out the usual bunch of paperwork, they attempted to have me undergo the full range of pricey vision tests. I explained that my opthalmologist does these annually and I only need a refraction and new glasses. They refused to refract me unless they could run up the big bill. They are just a bunch money grubbers. Don’t bother visiting unless you want to run up a large bill.

I have been going to ClearVision well over 10 yrs now. I never have to wait to be seen, the appt always begins when scheduled. The visual test are very thorough, and Dr Arndt also helped to pinpoint an issue in one of my eyes that was a side effect of my migraines. That helped me to get a proper diagnosis from a Neurologist. The staff are always very helpful, friendly and polite, whether over the phone or in person. They have a large selection of frames for glasses and sunglasses, which is why myself and my friends I’ve referred keep coming back.

I called here to see if they could fix my glasses and they told me since I didn’t buy them there the charge was 39.95, so I went to Walmart and they fixed my glasses for 1.99. The plastic piece broke off that sits on the bridge of nose. Thanks Walmart!

It snowed out today, I called over and over to confirm my appointment but couldn’t get through, sometimes it was busy, sometimes I got voicemail. They called me to confirm my appointment with an automated system, so I drove over in crappy weather (30 minutes for 5 miles). I got here and there is a sign on the door saying they are closed — after confirming my appointment. If you are looking for a dependable reliable optometrist this is NOT the place.

I recommend this place to anyone… Great service friendly staff great selection. I have been going to clear vision since 1990.

Staff is helpful. The frame selections are over-​priced and generally unfashionable. But, I’d come back here again.

Update: The beautiful young lady who is always smiling– the front desk lady — her name is Naomi. As i walked in there, she instantly recognized me and was helpful after i told her what my problem is with my frame. She guided me to Melissa– the lab tech.
Melissa listened to my concerns and presented me with multiple options to fix my issue. When it sadly came down to returning my beloved frame– she helped me select one that would fix my issues, as well as replaced the lenses in it– all for free. She was also very patient with me while i selected my new frame. They told me my frames would be available monday (today is fri). 4 hours later, they call me back telling me that my frames were ready for pick up — and told me they totally understood that i use it to read every day and wanted to get them done ASAP for me… whaaat?!? Frames ready in under 5 hrs, unheard of!
Clearvision @ denbigh is the epitome of customer satisfaction and i give them my 5 stars with pride!

There aren’t a lot of options near me for an eye doctor, so I am thankful that the one that is immediately behind my house is one of the nicest places to go to get my peepers checked out.
First of all, I had an urgent issue with a contact lens and some eye irritation, and the friendly staff got me whisked in to see Dr. Seago within minutes. Second, they noticed I hadn’t had an eye appointment in over a year and wanted me to get checked out. Did I have to wait 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Nope. In fact, it was my schedule that was the problem. Extremely accommodating.
I’ll admit that is makes me nervous that there are such young support staff working here, but that’s just because I’m not used to it.

Not as pleasant as my first experience.

I came here with a prescription to get a new pair of eyeglasses so I can’t comment on the optometrists’ services. The friendliness of the staff in the eyeglasses section seems to vary with how much money you plan to spend. One particular staff member was pretty helpful, but she did some to be in a hurry to get me to pick a pair of glasses. Admittedly, they didn’t have a very large selection anyway, but I felt a bit pressured, and there was no one else in the store. There are no prices on the frames, but there are colored tags on most of the frames and a color – price legend at the bottom of each case. Unfortunately there are a few pairs without color tags so it’s hard to know what they cost.
Anyway the prices are good overall if you can get an online deal, which is what I got.

Clean, well organized store section. We came in with a scrip to be filled for my son’s glasses. They accepted our VSP insurance (even though his exam was done elsewhere). Nice selection of frames. They even price-​matched my son’s contact lens prescription with the lowest price I had found in town and saved me a trip to another store! Super friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely be back.
