TY Alexander Salon

Front desk is very rude. I went to get a wedding «consult». I know nothing about wedding trials (this will be my first time getting married! Ha ha) and had no idea what this involved. My stylist (referred by my caterer) told me to make an appointment for a consult so I did.
I told this to the front desk girl multiple times, with no mention of cost or explanation from her (or the stylist).
I came today and got a consult which involved a quick mock up. I suppose it’s wishful thinking to believe this service was free (I expected maybe $ 50 TOPS), but $ 85 dollars for a less than a 30 min curl job? I would have never don’t this if I knew. Btw, my hair has completely flattened after a half hour.
When I was checking out I expressed my surprise and dismay over this surprise cost multiple times, only to have the girl processing the payment IGNORE me completely. Of course I felt obligated to tip (because I ALWAYS do) so I walked out having spent $ 100.
Quite frankly I felt deceived. Nothing was done to remedy this. Not happy, not booking my wedding with their services.

I go to Noemi Perez for all my hair needs. She is very good at what she does and she’s always very sweet and informative! The salon is very clean and trendy! Go get your hair done by my girl Noemi Perez!

Jeremy ruined my hair.
I read all the reviews on Unilocal saying how amazing of a colorist he was so I booked an appointment with him. I was a dark brown when I arrived and left a blonde. Not at all what I asked for. I asked for a few highlights very little and I wanted some low lights with warmth in my hair. I left with orange hair. Not only was my hair orange — but it took him 5 hours to do it and that was color only no haircut. I got in my car and cried I was so upset about my hair — when I texted him two days later to tell him I needed it fixed or I needed to be refunded he told me he would refund me. I had to go to work with damaged orange hair, my co workers laughed at me it was so bad. I was able to find a stylist who would do an all over color just to get rid of the orange — I am back to all over brown which is what I started with and I had to have 5 inches of my hair cut off since it was so damaged and fried from Jeremy leaving lightener on my hair for 3 hours and one hour under the dryer. Today he was supposed to mail me a check with my refund like we had agreed on since he wouldn’t fix my hair. He asked for a picture of my hair to see that I got it fixed — when I showed him he said he would not be refunding me since my hair is not the color I originally asked for and told me my color looked «muddy». Never did he say he would only refund me if I got the color I wanted — and the sad thing is that I couldn’t get that color because my hair is so damaged form him that I just went with an all over color so I can get my hair back to my original color and healthy again.
While there for 5 hours I got to listen to him put down every client he worked on who also had an appointment with him while I was there, he put down the girl up front and then the owner — the owner asked Jeremy’s assistant to great someone at the front desk and Jeremy told him not to and then started to put him down to me. Jeremy definitely does not stay true to his word — I have his texts to prove it. He also talks bad about every, I am sure he talked bad about me to his other clients like he was talking bad about them to me. If you want to spend 5 hours in a salon to have your hair ruined, damaged beyond repair and hear your stylist talk bad about everyone — then go to Jeremy. I spent $ 200 for him to ruin my hair and another $ 250 to have it fixed since he wouldnt do it and now he wont refund me. I will never be returning to this salon again

Jeremy is great I am amazed at the amount of time my cut looks good. You know you have found a great stylist when you can easily style your hair. The salon is beautiful and everyone is friendly.

Jeremy has been my hair artist for many years. He goes into each cut and color with a vision of his own but takes in every thought and feeling you have about the journey you are about to embark on with him. He has taken me from long hair to short hair and to different styles of bangs… all with extreme precision and respect to the hair type I have and the ideas I bring to the table. I have also been through many different color changes with him. My hair is naturally a medium brown but he has been able to take me to a vivid purple, lavender, many different shades of red, natural brown tones and ombré’s. Even doing something as simple as dying my hair darker is carefully thought out with him beforehand. He has a fun, creative outlook on hair and style and never disappoints. On top of all of that, he is a great person to be around and interact with-​it is always a good time and a good experience during a visit wit Jeremy Taylor.

I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored from Jeremy for about 7yrs. His knowledge with hair is amazing. I love the balayage he’s been doing on my hair. Not only do I go but my husband and 2 kids go. You will never be disappointed when you see Jeremy.

It was my first haircut with Jeremy and I had the best experience ever! He is such an amazing stylist, for him it’s not just cutting hair, it’s an art. I don’t let anyone cut my hair but I trusted him and I love the end result. He cut my hair just how I asked and he did a little extra and Thinned it out for me since I have a lot of hair. Overall, if you are looking for someone to cut your hair, I recommend going to Jeremy, you will love your new hair do!

Jeremy is an absolute artist and a genius hairdresser! I had my hair colored a darker brown previously which turned my hair nearly black. I wanted to lighten it to more of a chocolate brown so I didn’t look so pale. He was able to lift the dark color out and get the exact color I was looking for. Additionally, my hair is extremely thick and wavy (frizzy) but he was able to blow dry my hair so smooth and straight… total perfection!!!

Love Ty Alexander Salon. Jeremy is my stylist and he does such an amazing job. Great cuts and wonderful balayage! Ive had a cute short A line cut for 10 years now. Love his styles and creativeness. He is precise and very attention to detail that makes him stand out from any other stylist. He’s is so good with color. Finally for my hair to a sunny blond. Hope u guys get an appointment with jeremy. you wont regret it!

This salon is wonderful. All the staff are fun and friendly and the décor is wonderful. I never feel like I’m at a snooty salon, I always feel welcomed. Noemi is the BEST! She is great with color and very particular and detail oriented. I never leave feeling bad about my hair!

i came in looking like a 1.5 and walked out looking like a dime! (mind you i have wavy frizzy hair that poofs up when there’s rain and it poured allllllll day) and she’s a ducks fan! :) I’m for sure going back for her to work more magic on my hair soon!

This is a gorgeous salon with amazing stylists! I go to Kristine Curry who I have followed everywhere she has gone since the first time she did my hair. Her cuts and color are phenomenal and she takes such GREAT care of my hair. It’s never been in better shape and grown so fast as with Kristine! I highly recommend visiting this salon and booking with Kristine.

I searched best OC salons and Ty Alexander Salon came up. At the moment, I was in a hair dilemma. I wanted to go ombré at a school and instead, I got my natural hair and then straight up blonde. There was a line and everything. It was horrendous.
Ty Alexander Salon had saved me. I called them 3 days later to fix my hot mess of a hair. They gave me a stylist named Noemi, who was nothing but AMAZING! My hair had looked even shinier and better. She made me feel so comfortable as did the rest of the team at the salon. The salon is such a lovely place to be in and I would most definitely come back. I also recommend Noemi! She’s just an awesome person.

Mary Hippen is the BEST! If you’re a blond and extremely picky about your color — you want Mary. Hands down the best colorist in Orange County. She also does other color. Her blonde gals love her. I would never go anywhere else.

Read the reviews and decided to try it out. Went and saw Jeremy for our family cuts. I’m picky and go to a high end salon at home. Jeremy excels at his craft. He is talented with scissors, cuts and difficult hair situations.
One of my daughters recently started growing hair. He was able to take her from looking like a boy, to a beautiful girl. Another one of my children has very curly hair. He was able to cut and style her curls to look amazing.
All together he did 6 cuts for our family. Boys, men, women and children. He is amazingly talented artist and those who live in this area are lucky to be able to book him as their regular stylist.
If you are looking for a salon and stylist –this is where I will come again!

Hands down the best salon in Newport Beach! I am not sure who this «Sherry M» person is on the reviews (if it is even a real person. her review is a bit surprising) but I have been coming to see Ty the owner for years. He is professional, extremely friendly, and most of all an amazing stylist. He gives excellent service to all who comes in his salon. The salon is clean, great atmosphere, and fabulous. The salon is easy to find and they accommodate ANY last minute needs– whether it’s a hc, color, or even my makeup! If your looking for skilled, highly professional group of people who actually know what they are doing I would highly recommend this salon.
