Briggs and Riley

Briggs and Riles is same place as Sunsations where I posted this review «Don’t usually write negative reviews. However, in this case have to say there are better places to purchase your luggage. For a recent trip, Attracted by the vibrant colors and soft sides I wanted the Lipault carry on and next size up bag. I called Briggs & Riley/​Sunsations and was told that they had both of the pieces on sale. I drove from north county to their store in Fashion Island to pick them up. Turns out they only had one piece. I said I would just order on line from factory. They offered to order with delivered to my home and no shipping charges. The day of delivery, I received a call asking me to come down to pick up the piece because it was delivered to them not me. After much conversation they said someone would deliver to me. Off I go on my trip where screws start coming out of the bag. Upon return I called and was told to bring the bag in and they «would see what they could do». Again, I drive to Fashion Island and am told that Lipault is not a good brand and I shouldn’t have expected much from it but they would see about a replacement or repair and would call me the next day. The next day came and went — no call. The following week I called no one knew anything about this bag and they would have the manager call me. No call. Today I call and after being on a long hold the manager tells me that he sent the bag back for repair which was the best he could do because it was an on sale discontinued item. So if something is on sale you should expect more faulty merchandise than if not? The store is neglectful of its customers and sells inferior merchandise. There are better places to purchase luggage.

This store has a great selection of luggage. I specifically was looking for Tumi. They had beautiful pieces much better I must admit than the Tumi store! Rosemary helped me. She was a sweetheart. No pressure. The weekend I came in they were offering 20% off. I was so tempted but the person I was shopping for later revealed they wanted something else for Christmas. I was very impressed with the variety of name brand luggage, beautiful color choices and sizes. Worth a visit.
