This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Orange County! I’ve been going to Al Cap for a couple years now and can’t get enough of their iced coffee and al cap special! This place is a cute, hole in the wall, family run café. It is always busy on the weekends! I’m super picky about my iced coffee and this place is at the top of my list!(Can’t stand when people think you can just pour hot coffee over ice) At Al Cap they make ice cubes out of coffee and serve that to you, then you can pick from a selection of 3 – 7 hot coffee carafes(depending on what’s avail by the time you get there). You just pour the hot coffee over the coffee iced cubes and there you have it! Genius. My bf and I usually get the al cap special(bagel with cream cheese, avo, lemon pepper) and an acai bowl. So good! This place is awesome, the people that run it are so cute and friendly. Definitely check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

For a coffee shop you gotta do better with your iced coffee don’t hand me a cup with frozen coffee cubes and expect me to put hot coffee over it. Bagels are good and smoothies are great but way over priced do your self a favor and walk down a few doors to dough boy’s bakery.

Their food & drinks are always made fresh to order. My favorite item on the menu is the Al Capp Special. It’s a bagel with cream cheese, avocado, & tomato; I add turkey to top it off. The vibes are mellow & nice as well. Highly recommend

Just a short walk from my house, there is an amazing coffee shop. A coffee shop that I have grown very fawned of! Their Almond Mocha is delicious, their bagels are fresh, their toppings are perfect to a tee. The atmosphere is delightful and the staff is always eager to help. Small and cozy, full of flavor, and satisfying is how I personally described Al Cappuccino!

This is just simply the best small coffee stop in Newport. Nothing fancy, nothing out of this world, but there is always fast friendly service, tasty breakfast sandwiches, and plenty of variety in the coffee(pssst…their hazelnut is the best). It’s a locals kind of place, it has a very welcoming feel, and I completely recommend to anyone looking for a quick breakfast :)

Went biking around the area and stopped by this coffee shop and ordered an iced latte with 2 shots and an everything bagel with cream cheese. They’re known for their acai bowls, special bagels, iced coffee with coffee ice cubes, and FRESHLYSQUEEZEDORANGEJUICE. It’s seriously the most amazing OJ I’ve tried! It’s a must order!

This one of my fav. Weekend breakfast spots! The Al Cap special with an acai smoothie is my go-to. Sometimes there’s a bit of a line, but it moves quickly. I wish they had a couple more seating option or little tables outside, but otherwise, if you’re looking for a quick little breakfast spot, you can’t go wrong here!

I wish I could give Al Cap more stars but I just can’t. It’s kinda basic. I guess it’s a cool local joint but they really need to expand their menu. I mean you can’t go wrong with the al cap special which is a bagel with cream cheese, avocado, tomato and lemon pepper but in reality, you can make this at home. The acai bowl is good too but nothing really shines about it. Just acai, granola, and some bananas. They do have a wide variety of coffees so that’s nice also. Overall, I would recommend this place for a quick breakfast eat right before or after hitting the waves.

So delicious!!! I got the almond power smoothie and the al cap special bagel with no tomato add cucumber. The smoothie was gone before I could take a pic! I heard of this place from my roommate and she said it was awesome, so I went to to check it out and it was very awesome. I can’t wait to go back!

VEGAN! What I had: coffee What I thought: tons of options and good quick coffee– haven’t tried food but vegan options are limited! The acai seems like a good deal for the size so I want to try that soon!

My boyfriend and I stopped by here to get some food before we studied at the Newport public library(which btw is so pretty). We got the breakfast sandwich on English muffin which was delicious but very small. Then we got the al cap special which is simple but still so tastey. The lemon pepper made the meal. We also got the acai smoothie and the almond power smoothie. The smoothie was full of yummy berries. It came to a total of $ 22. We walked to the beach and ate there. It was pretty awesome and we literally didn’t get hungry again until dinner time.

I’m hooked. This family owned business is my go-to, on-the-go coffee house when I’m hitting the beach, running errands or yearning to fill my little tummy with the goods – and generous ones at that. As it may be considered a ‘coffee house,’ don’t let that intimidate you and your needs. I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t give you my two cents in that regard. However, BECAUSE I don’t dabble in espresso, I can give a better feel for all things not coffee. Capeesh? A run-down from the reg; these are my top 3 favorites: 1) Hungry? Al Capp special has gotcha covered. A classic bagel of your choice topped with cream cheese, avo, tomato and lemon pepper. 2) Sweet tooth? The acai smoothie, and it isn’t just a smoothie. Small or large, it’s bound to hold you over for a while. I don’t know what kind of granola they use but ermergerrrrd it is delicious! Being a ‘self-proclaimed acai conessueir,’ they’ve got a reallly good smoothie. It’s topped with chopped bananas, and you can add honey for an additioanl $ 1. 3) Post workout? Or just not down for some solids this morning? Almond butter powder smoothie, baby! This one’s been my favorite for a good while. But let me warn ya, it. is. FILLING. It only comes in a large, as I’ve asked to get it in a small, or half the size. It doesn’t look too big, but it’s thick, rich and creamy and has a kick of sweetness that your tastebuds will be caught off guard after your first sip. Al Capp is a tiny shop with two tables and a bench seat for both, but is typically pretty open since everyone knows this and heads out after their cuppa. Plus, the beach is walking distance. Why not enjoy the view while you’re at it? Don’t be discouraged if you’re trying to quench your thirst either. They have a variety of drinks as well, such as bottled iced teas and coconut water. So if you’re stopping by after your surf sesh, running errands(they take phone orders as well) or to grab your morning wake-up brew, Al Capp’s got your back.
