Rockingham Ballroom

We attended a wedding here last weekend as well as had our wedding here 8 years ago. Brought back great memories! The place is beautifully decorated, very big, and the woman working the bar went above and beyond to serve us all. When you buy a drink, your getting a 16oz alcoholic drink for the same price as a 6oz drink elsewhere.
Everyone who attended our wedding, and the wedding we just went to had a great time and wouldn’t have gone anywhere else! (Obviously since our family member followed in our footsteps 8 yrs later!) Thank you Rockingham Ballroom!

I am the newlywed Mrs. Rick R (see his review below) and our wedding at the Rockingham Ballroom was absolutely fantastic. Alan and Diane were so nice, so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. They are wonderful people who clearly love this old ballroom and pour their heart and soul into keeping it alive and vibrant. Our guests loved it. Our musicians loved playing there. We love it. I really cannot thank and praise them enough.

We had our wedding here and it was perfect. Is it the Ritz? No, its a bargain, its cool, it has history, its spacious, the dance floor is huge and beautiful, the management folks are incredibly responsive, and it has real charm. We had over two hundred people and we heard not one complaint. The universal comment was «what a cool place.» Quite a few people that attended made plans to return for other public dance events. There is a comment from someone about them being rude? We had many interactions and they were all wonderful. The folks that run it love the place and it shows. Maybe they didn’t get their sense of humor or caught them on a bad day, I thought that the friendliness of the managers was actually one of the strong points. They went above and beyond to accommodate our somewhat unorthodox requests and they were a huge part of us having a great great wedding.

Look at my last review, the Rockingham ball room response was simply «We are not rude». Most business owners would ask what they could do to better the situation not just deny that they are rude. My eight five year old grand mother told an employee «Can you get me a water I feel like I’m going to pass out» the wonderful Rockingham ballroom owner replied «there is a cash bar right over there». If that is not rude I don’t know what is. I wonder why they need to raise money so they will not go out of business? Two words «customer service»
