I know it’s Unilocal blasphemy to praise a chain restaurant but I think that Bonefish Grill offers a nice dining experience, good food, fun cocktails and consistently great service. I like this one as much as the one in Evergreen Walk. The menu features lots of appetizers and entrees so it is good for groups with varied tastes. The restaurant has pretty nice ambiance so it is a good option for date night for parents who are already paying for a sitter and want a nice meal without blowing the budget. Chains are not all bad. Bonefish is quite nice!

I really wanted to like this place where to start. Noisy, took forever, waitress had an attitude, appetizers served with dinner small portions and not very tasty food Oh yes, not quite cold martini. Do not waste your money. Go to Maine seafood in Windsor locks. They know how to cook and how to treat guests.

I absolutely love sea food, especially sushi which they did not have here. I ordered the bang bang shrimp. Although the place wasn’t very full, it took almost 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The shrimp was so overpowering and spicy, I choked on it. After that I sat there scraping the cardboard thick layer of sauce off the shrimp before eating it. I also go a salad which had this odd fishy flavor. It was actually quite gross and left a sour, bitter taste in my mouth. I didn’t touch the salad again after the first bite. I don’t know whether they spray«fish flavor» on the salad or if it is just in the air but it was not an experience I enjoyed. The beer I ordered was warm even though it wasn’t on tap, it was from the freezer. Which gives you a good picture of the condition of their freezer. Fish Lovers or non, Do not even stop here. Woe to ye!!!

Pretty damn tasty! My wife recently met up with friends for a happy hour at Bonefish and then must have said«bang-bang shrimp» to me a good dozen times before we were in the nabe and I said«turn right!» and we popped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. We ordered(you guessed it) the bang-bang shrimp as an appetizer, she had a burger, I had the lunch special of crab cakes. Everything was very tasty and yes the bang-bang shrimp was wicked good(though I could’ve done with a tick less sauce on it). The host was very friendly and welcoming as was our waiter(very upbeat and jokey which we liked). Being a fan of seafood I thought the menu was pretty good. I would’ve ordered pretty much anything from it. My wife’s burger was HUGE(½ lb) and messy but she said it was tasty. My crab cakes were really good with some large chunks of crab in there. The only downside I would say is el crapo beer on tap-o selection. I think they have 3 draughts, all large, domestic offerings. We had a couple of Blue Moons which were decent but an IPA would’ve been a whole lot cooler. (they did have IPAs in bottles) I would definitely go there again for the crab cakes and the bang-bang shrimp(which I noticed they serve in a taco too and that sounds delicious to me).

Being from the Bronx we tend to stay away from chain restaurants in favor of unique venues. We visit our friend in Meriden frequently and just started going to Bonefish for Sunday Brunch. Much to our delight, Bonefish provides an incredible, intimate brunch. Eat at the bar for an incredible experience. Megan is by far one of our favorite bartenders of all time. She is personable, makes a wicked cocktail and has the best sparkly glasses and a shining personality to match. We look forward to seeing her on Sundays. Brunch is delicious. The bang bang shrimp Benedict is divine. We opt for a regular hollandaise instead of the spicy to ensure an appetite for more cocktails. Oh. And those cocktails. The Ultimate Dirty Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and a pickle are to die for. The espresso martini is a great pick me up. We look forward to making Bonefish a regular stop when we visit Meriden. Excellent job by everyone on staff, especially Megan. Thank you!

Food and atmosphere were good, but nothing about the place stands out in particular. Unimpressive happy hour and wine selection.

I say 2 stars, but the wife says 3 so I’ll go with it because the choice of music was great. Skip this place for lunch. They offer 5 crummy specials and hand you the regular dinner menu to order from. Kobe beef, a hamburger in a seafood restaurant wouldn’t you know is great. Stay away from the fish & chips — the tilapia tastes moldy & the«new& improved» fries are just OK. Desserts are excellent as was the service, but I won’t be back.

be cautious with my review as i do not enjoy any type of fish cuisine, and this restaurant geared towards that. however i did order a kobe beef burger which was cooked properly, very tender and on a nice soft bun. good waitress. one of my gripes is the boxed mashed potatoes they served. and on the menu listed as garlic mashed. not even close. someone ran to stop and shop and grabbed a $ 1.99 box of instant potatoes. very very sad. and having a reservation? for what? borderline pointless.

With only the freshest seafood around, And an awesome bar area: the cutest in town. The waitresses were nicer than Ellen. And the clientele was the opposite of felons. Bonefish Grill does seafood, and they do it well. The Thai Curry Shrimp appetizer came with shrimp that were a step up from Jumbo Shrimp. I’m going to name them Humongo Shrimp. The fish tacos that I got for my entrée were bursting with flavor. Our waitress was great. My biggest gripe was my cocktail. The«Modern Mojito» was was too fruity and sweet. It was pretty gross. Next time I’ll stick to beer. Overall, great place for a nice date night or a quick appetizer and drink at the bar. Will return.

Well, I came here for the first time recently after hearing many good things about the oleeeee Bonefish Grill. We sat in the lounge area at a high top table, a person of the staff type came over and placed a paper table cloth over the normal table cloth, I suppose expecting patrons to all spill a lot of bone fish droppings all over the place? I was also waiting for crayons but sadly they never came. Anyway, our waitress came over, and although smelling like she just smoked a pack of cigarettes prior to coming to our table, she was INCREDIBLY friendly and attentive! She welcomed us to Bonefish Grill and asked if we’d been there before and proceeded to explain the menu etc… The wait staff all seem to wear chef coats, unless I am mistaken in their purpose but I half expected her to take my order, run in the back, whip up the meals all quick like herself and then deliver them to us(that’s a pretty nifty idea though isn’t it? You heard it first here folks 1/7/2016(although that’s kind of like hibachi isn’t it?)) I digress, she quickly returned with our drinks, I asked a few monumental questions about the menu and her thoughts and she enthusiastically suggested I get the Kobe beef burger, we promptly ordered. Wow! Was she ever right! That is one of the best burgies I’ve had a good long while, it was cooked very well done, well not well done, but cooked well, done medium rare. My compatriot had that slammin salmon and that too was very nicely prepared. It wasn’t very busy that night, the setup and seating arrangements all seemed well thought out and not overwhelming. The rundown: Bonefish offers a friendly staff, from what I could tell, decent prices, and some good food choices for a reasonable price. I will be back! But hey! That’s just MY review, a fooooood review!

Got the snapper again very good. Crab cakes were also done nicely. I still scratch my head and wonder why they do not have Tabasco. Water refills a bit slow but okay since it was a busy Friday night. Drink done well.

OMG, I’ve only been here once and the food is absolutely delicious. Ok, so I’m not a broccoli person and tend to order green beans or corn as a veggie. For some reason, I decided to order their broccoli as the veggie. I must say, if you’re not a broccoli person, YOUMUSTHAVETHEIRS!!! I ordered steak, mashed, broccoli & a side of grilled shrimp… yes, I know, I eat like a man but when you love food, you love food, what can I say? Lol Ok, so EVERYTHING on my dish was sooo darn good but it’s the broccoli that I dreamt about each night while it whispered sweet nothings in my ear. Ive been meaning to go back to try other items while ordering 2 helpings of the broccoli of course or order 1 helping, bring a friend, tell them how gross the broccoli is «after» they order it and tell them you’ll do them the favor of taking it off their plate… hey, whatever works right? You won’t be disappointed… everything they sell is good. I went with a group of friends and they all enjoyed their food as well. What’s cute and a nice touch is that all the servers wear the chef white tops so you get the feel that they served and prepared your food. Nice, personal touch. The lights are dimmed so if you don’t like it that way, you can opt for outdoor seating which is nice during the warmer seasons. Definitely going back!!! No doubt!

First meal here was pretty bland. Tuna that I get at every Bonefish and the fish did not have much taste. Have been coming back during happy hour and enjoying the meals. Good drink specials half off pretty much anything but their specialty drinks. The donut appetizer was wonderful when they had the things to inject the donuts instead of just dip them. Now it’s just normal and overpriced bring back the injectors! Sunday brunch surf and turf benedict… like holy cow!!! I would give three stars but last time I came to just say hi to someone and waitress was very kind even though I wasn’t feeling well and just wanted to drink club soda. Service makes the difference!

As promised, we returned on Easter Sunday with bippy intact while brandishing yet another $ 10 online coupon. Advance reservations were held as we expected a full house though, on entering, we realized none were required. Initially we were offered a booth adjacent to the bar area, but asked for a booth offering better lighting. Our server, Jennifer, soon arrived at our table to take our drink orders with both of us initially requesting ice water. After perusing the menu, my wife decided to jump start the meal with a Bloody Mary which was kicked up Emeril style by the addition of horseradish. I opted to give my liver a break so I ordered the soup du jour, red pepper and tomato, that was quite good though the temperature was barely north of tepid. Her choice of an entrée was once again(not a surprise) crème brulee French toast, however, the plate included 3 slices of toast rather than the 2 received the week prior. Also, there was a noticeably larger helping of strawberries and whipped cream. The only negative note was the bread had not spent enough time bathing in the custard so the flavor notes were muted and texture less pudding-like. Over on my side of the table, my Western omelet’s list of ingredients included turkey chorizo, cheddar cheese, cilantro, onions, a dash of ranchero sauce and lime sour cream. It proved to be light and fluffy though the flavor profile was, IMHO, unbalanced, your flavor buds may disagree, principally due to the bold flavors provided by both the chorizo and lime sour cream. Though we were generally happy with both the service and food, I would probably not order the Western omelet again.

We went there for brunch around 11 am this morning and were seated immediately. I ordered the Cajun shrimp egg white omelet which came out with a very short wait, and it was delicious. Excellent service also, our waiter was very personable and attentive. Much better brunch experience than fighting over a table in busy places closer to west Hartford center. Will definitely return to check out their happy hour too! I personally love the fact that their nutrition information is on the website as well. It made making a healthy and delicious choice easy!

Thanks to a wedding guest and her beau, we were given a gift card to Bonefish Grill. My husband and I figured it would be a great opportunity to try them again! Bang! A lot of improvement since their opening more than a year ago! I think corporate revamped their menu. The waiters are now dressed in white chef jackets, which I find cool! My Atlantic salmon with lemon was cooked to perfection! I had steamed broccoli, spaghetti squash, and a side salad. Much more this time than my initial visit! Bravo!

This visit was perfect. The food was perfect, the speed was perfect, the ambiance was perfect and the price was perfect. If you haven’t been, go. We had gotten a gift card and decided to use it for a birthday celebration. We knew nothing about the BFGrill until we arrived. The building is new and from the outside we were worried that we were under dressed and this was going to cost a fortune. Luckily, it’s not the hoity-toity place that you get the impression of from the outside of the building. We were seated very promptly. We looked over the menu and were instantly relieved as the prices were extremely reasonable for a night out. The menu is simple; wood grilled fish/steaks, fried foods and some sushimi offerings. It was pretty difficult to decide on an order. There is a pretty extensive wine offering which I am not interested in. The food was delivered seemingly instantly after we ordered. And the presentation was fantastic. And it tasted just as well as we expected. The amazing thing, is that were left satisfied without feeling over indulged or under portioned. If you are looking for a dinner out that feels swanky and low priced this is your destination.
