McDonald’s

This is the worst McDonalds I’ve ever visited. Their shake machine is always down and their employees don’t seem to know what they’re doing. I just wanted a shamrock shake.

Absolutely disgusting. Waited 10 minutes for a quarter pounder. Being handicapped (I have a bad leg) I had a hard time finding a place to sit and when we did, There were so many fly’s we could not sit there. We ended up eating in the car. Then to top it off, the burger I waited for was so dry, the cheese was half off the burger and stuck to the box. Only had one tiny pickle, but enough onion for three burgers. Never stopping there again. Oh… plus everyone was rude and didn’t get a thank you.

This McDonald’s SUCKS! It’s always randomly closed the workers are unkept with dirty finger nails. Not worth stopping. There’s a much nicer one in Amesbury or seabrook.

The woman serving me appeared to be an addict. She put too much syrup in my shake and did not give me the right change and could not use the register.

20 piece mcnuggets and 2 shakes. I understand for some people, counting to 20 is a challenge and you can be off by one or two, but when they short you 5 pieces, that is unacceptable. Of course you don’t realize this until you are home and it is too late.

Can you give no stars? I guess I can give one because I feel bad for the manager who has to deal with all these clueless sad sack employees. It’s like watching bumper cars in there. Total chaos! And half of them are standing outside the entrance sucking on cigarettes. Can’t they go out back? I just want to stop for iced coffee and it is always like this. The worst run McD’a I have ever seen. Someone from corporate needs to get in here and run a training day. What a disaster.

I totally agree with the other reviewer. I love mcdonalds, and have been to the well run ones in Cambridge and saugus too. The Newburyport one is the worst run mcdonalds I have ever been to. It’s worse than having nothing because I’m tempted to go there and I’m always let down for one reason or another.
They never get the order right. I get breakfast for the kids sometimes, and something is always missing when I get home.
You’re better off driving somewhere else if the kids want a mcdonalds breakfast.

I have to agree — just went today — no napkin, no thank you, uninterested staff.

Before I begin this review I want you to understand that I love McDonalds. I’m not an anti Mickey D’s at all. I just do not like this one because in my opinion it is unclean and in my opinion again, they don’t seem to care too much that the place is dirty.
Some Background…
Newburyport is a very nice city some 50 miles north of Boston. The population of the area is a great mix of working stiffs and metropolitan chic. It’s a great place to live, and the real estate, despite the economy is through the roof. Lots of people in Newburyport take the train every day into Boston. I am one of those.
My office is in Cambridge, right next to a McDonalds in Central Square. To get to my office or McDonald’s I have to navigate through or step over a huge population of drunks, drug addicts, homeless people, and other people who have nothing else to do with their time.
These individuals use the bathroom in the Central Square McDonalds as their home base for water needs, etc… Still with me?
This McDonalds in Cambridge is SPOTLESS at all times and their staff is well MANAGED, CHEERFUL, and HAPPY to see you.
I wish the General Manager and the Owner of the Newburyport McDonalds could take a trip to Central Square in Cambridge and see what a McDonalds should look like.
It’s amazing that the McDonalds in Newburyport is such a STY in my opinion… It’s terrible the way they so INFREQUENTLY send a person to the DINING area to CLEAN up. The trash goes UNCOLLECTED, the fountain area is a MESS, and the Bathrooms look like what you would think the bathroom would look like in Cambridge. It sucks.
Look behind the counter of this establishment. In my opinion it does not look like a McDonalds that is towing the company line… Is this a Rogue Mickey D’s? It looks shoddy, and the whole place does not have the crispness of a modern day McDonalds. What is going on here?
