If you have curly hair and want a diffused blow dry, do not go here! When I called to make the appointment, they assured me that their stylists have experience and are comfortable working with curly hair.
Fast forward: The stylist I had straightened my hair. She was clueless about how to diffuse curls. I finally told her what she was doing and she decided to notify her manager, who may be the owner of the salon. The manager (?owner) then took over. She too has little experience with curly hair. She did a better job, but not adequate for the wedding I attended. I ended up wetting my hair and styled it myself after I left. I paid $ 30 for a job that was most disappointing. They also only have one single product (cream/​gel) for curly hair. Perhaps they do well with straight hair? I don’t know? But from my experience, they failed to deliver.
No amends were offered to reduce the cost. It’s clear to me this business misled me and then asked to be paid the full amount for substandard service. This is not right.

I went to this salon to get my hair styled for an event. Annette, the owner, did my hair and the result was beyond my expectations. She asked what I wanted, and I didn’t have a specific idea, so she made some recommendations. I went with wavy curls and absolutely loved what she did. The price was reasonable, the salon is nice and very clean, and staff are friendly. I highly recommend B L O salon!

I came in for my first session for a balyage with Candace, she is super friendly and she did a great job! My hair was still in a good shape after bleaching my whole head. She had so much patience for me considering how much hair I have! I would definitely recommend blo salon, they have great customer service and the salon is gorgeous.

I went in for a blow out the night before a trip. Brenda did an amazing job and is so knowledgeable on how to work with curly and frizzy thick hair. Thanks to her top notch skills, my hair looked amazing

B L O Salon owner Annette has been caring for my hair for more than two years – and it has never looked better. I am a middle-​aged mom and that’s saying a lot! I couldn’t be happier with the color or style. My now-​18-​year-​old daughter joined me not long after I met Annette and has been equally as happy with her results. Annette has a wonderful, skilled team, as well. The location is convenient, the décor newer, and the ambience stellar. B L O Salon has fulfilled a long-​standing need for an upscale yet reasonably priced salon in Newbury Park.

I love Anette and Blo Salon. Anette always cuts and styles my hair beautifully. I can always get an appointment when I need to. she recommends products to improve my hair, but is not pushy and doesn’t try to up sell the service.

Came here for a blowout before Christmas pictures. Everyone was very sweet and they got me in quickly. My hair is quite heavy and the blowout didn’t last as long as some others I’ve had, but it looked great for the photos and I appreciated being in and out rather quickly. I’ll have to come back and try some of their other services at some point soon.

This place is awesome– everyone is super friendly but especially Brenda. She takes a lot of pride in her work and has a lot of knowledge. I would recommend this place to anyone.

For ever I was afraid of going to new places for going blonde (always turned orange) and my friend told me about this place and with the first session, I did not see any orange. AMANDA took great care of me. I went from dark to blonde and she didn’t NOT fry my hair nor turn my hair orange!!! ((:

I worked with annete the owner, and she took great care of me. She also did my blonde highlights which also turned out nice.

If you need a hair stylist who actually knows what they’re doing, look no further then SABRINA MURILLO! Sabrina is so amazing I’m so lucky I found her! Not only is she such a sweetheart, but she really knows her way around a pair of scissors :) I’m very picky about who does my hair, but I never have to work with Sabrina because she has the gift! Book this gal you will NOT regret it!

I recently went to see Briana at this salon & had a wonderful experience ! I have very thick hair and have had a hard time finding a hairdresser that will spend the time to give me the long layered haircut I wanted. Briana did an excellent job, she listened to me & I walked away with a beautiful haircut that I love! I will definitely be coming back to see her

Sabrina is amazing!!! I’ve gone to her twice to do my hair and both times I walked out of the salon grinning from ear to ear! She’s phenomenal and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair!

I LOVE this salon. It’s so cute and everyone is welcoming. The place has such a fun vibe. I get my hair done with Sabrina. She is the best. She can turn any hair disaster into a masterpiece. I am stubborn and did awful things to my hair such as never get a haircut, box dye my hair, and not maintain it, but even after all of that Sabrina was still able to work her magic and turn my hair into exactly what I wanted. I will NEVER go to anyone else from now on. Now my hair is healthy and looks exactly the way I want it to. Thanks Sabrina!

Brought my 12-​year-​old son in for a haircut with Annette (she is also the owner). She did an amazing job. He was very specific about what he wanted and Annette was very patient and really took the time to listen to him and understand what he wanted. She spent an hour on the haircut and my son could not be happier. I would highly recommend Annette. The salon is beautiful with great high quality products including a makeup area. Thank you, we will be back.

I had been looking for two years for a hair stylist would cut my hair how I wanted it cut. Not as easy as you would think. I was referred to Annette at B.L.O. I walked into this cute boutique style salon. Annette looked at my hair and we talked. She saw I was in great need of a cut. I gave her a run down of my hair quirks. She went to work. She gave my hair careful consideration. Even spent more time on it after she dried it. My hair came back to life and she was amazed at what was under my desparate hair. The true strength of a stylist is, if I could replicate the style when I had to do it myself. I listened to Annette’s drying and styling tips. Low and behold… i could work with the cute and due the style justice!!!
